The park is extremely well-maintained -- great paved roads, excellent trail markings, tons of shelters and picnic areas. There was still some hurricane damage, unfortunately. I parked in the Sulphur Sorings trailhead lot and did the approximately four mile loop. I then visited the park visitor center to get a state parks book and a stamp for Paris Mountain. There was a lake with lots of kids swimming. Overall a great park to visit. I'll definitely be back to hike more trails.

I ended up leaving the stroller on top and climbed down the stairs with my toddler. It is a beautiful, quaint place. I'm sure it can be very peaceful when coming at the right time. I visited in the evening, but with children, so not exactly peaceful and quiet. I can see why this location has so many photo sessions. It can also be rented for weddings, although I wouldn't know where the guests would park since there is no actual parking area. Happy yelping!

We attended the Community Easter Egg Drop here. This is a free event, and there were thousands of…read morekids there. There's plenty of open space at this park for an event like this, and it was very well organized with a lot of helpful volunteers. There were many bounce houses that were separated between toddler and older kids, which I appreciated. The Easter egg drops themselves (from a helicopter!) were also organized by age (by giving the children different color wrist bands) and all of the drops were on different baseball fields at different times. The only thing that was a bit chaotic was the bottleneck in the one tiny gateway to leave the field after the egg drop. Overall, it was a fun experience and one we would consider repeating.
