His bedside manner is nonexistent, and It was only my first visit to the office - no hello, how are you, just what's the trouble and a loud gasp with a response that made me feel truly embarrassed. Never mind who referred you, no doctor should ever make a patient feel like they have quarter of a brain and speak to them as though they were still in kindergarten. Even with the prescriptions he happily threw at me, I will be following up with someone else. I would not recommend this doctor.

My primary physician was concerned about a dark scaly patch on one side of my nose and thought I should have it checked out. I wish I had taken a before photo, as it was quite unsightly, and growing! Just a few minutes with Dr. Herman (who's daughter also works in the practice) and he suggested a prescription topical ointment before going the surgery route. Just 2 weeks of bedtime application, and the patch hardened, fell off, nose healed and feels as good as new. I only have the AFTER photo to share here, but as you can imagine, I'm thrilled. So, thumbs (and noses) up to Dr. Eric Herman, his great bedside manner and lovely staff.

On the day of my appointment, the office called at 5:25 PM. claiming I was late even though my appointment was clearly scheduled for 5:45 PM. They were about to cancel it with no notice. Only after I pushed back did they call again and admit the appointment time was correct. Then, as I pulled into the parking lot at 5:45, they called yet again to tell me my insurance was actually not accepted at this location. This was after I left work early and drove there based on their incorrect information. This was a complete waste of my time. The level of disorganization is unacceptable, and the entire office clearly needs proper training.

Nope. Didnt care. How stupid of a system is it that when a patient tries to make an appt at one office another location can pick up & make an appt for you there without even letting you know? I do have it, and it would have flown completely under the radar for (likely) years. I wouldn't have known to take preventive measures to keep those levels in check. I also trusted her to do a procedure on me, where she gave me upfront and honest feedback on what to expect from beginning to end, what to expect in terms of pain, recovery, complications, etc. And now I have the snatched jawline at 42 that I would have loved to have had at 22. She is the most wonderfully thorough, competent and truly lovely soul one could wish to meet. A million out of ten stars. Please go see her, you are going to feel the same level of trust and confidence with her that I do.

Initially 230 lbs, I removed certain medications, made diet adjustments, and regular walks. I was able to shed pounds...massive amounts of weight. And it was brutal, because the cravings were tugging me into breaking my new regimen. Also, I work in a rather shitty industry (I babysit CEOs of failing companies), where the stress levels can send you to the hospital if not directly to the morgue. By the time I reached the 182 lbs, somewhere in September, my knees stopped hurting, I could walk 2 miles without passing out, and dropped from stage 3 hypertension to barely below stage 1. I had loose skin and remaining fat hanging on my back and midsection, that still made it uncomfortable to bend down and tie my shoes. Also my shitty job didn't allow me to take PTO so, I needed a clinic to operate on a weekend. DR. Khan and his team ticked the boxes, and after researching liposuction and watching YouTube videos on the procedure, I decided to book an appointment. The Weehawken location is cute. I love the Edgewater area. It is a relaxing, clean, brand new neighborhood right on the water. The procedure is local anesthesia and it took no more than two hours. It began at 8 am and i was home by 10.30 am. And the area treated was large, so it is amazing Dr. Khan did it in such short time. You are given pasties and a pair of disposable underwear. The doctor marks the areas that need to be treated. Then you are laid down on the operating table, and incisions are made for the cannula to enter. The operation was manageable, some areas were more painful than others, and it depends on the person. The Valium helped a lot along with more sedatives. It is a very safe procedure and it goes very fast. There are no open wounds. The incisions heal quickly and you are given an adequate amount of antibiotics two weeks prior to the surgery. Make sure you follow the doctor's advice like the Bible. I did, and I'm healing well. They will give you Oxycodone for post surgery pain. I did not need it at all. I think that if the surgeon is excellent, there is no need of pain killers. That's how I knew I had made the right decision. Besides the soreness and the discomfort, I was able to manage without opiates. Also, wearing faja will drastically alleviate the pain. I had a protein rich diet, with zinc and vitamin c, absolutely no carbs, and one week after the operation I was feeling great. I did not develop bumps or odd wrinkles on the treated areas. It is the midsection of a former obese woman, but I am kind to myself and did not expect a 6 pack to pop out. I am grateful to be able to tie my shoes and being able to walk and do chores around the house instead of living in a pigsty ridden with empty vodka bottles and pizza boxes. The lipo really motivated me to cook at home, control portions, take care of myself, really evaluate what I want in my life/career, and tell my boss to fuck off. Go to Dr. Khan for lipo and follow his team's advice to the T.
