I had my baby shower here yesterday. Zina the owner catered to a customized menu for my shower. The setup was beautiful and the foods were excellent. The staff were wonderful and attentive. I will be having another event here again. Thank you so much Zina and staff for making my baby shower a wonderful and magical experience. Definitely a recommended venue for any private event.

Wooooooowww!!! Consistently wow for passed years I've been loyal here. This restaurant is fabulous. This is a perfect place to have a birthday party or a special occasion to celebrate with family and friends. The food is delicious and great varieties of excellent prix fixe menu. The owner of this restaurant, Zina is exceptional and always accommodating all my requests to make my birthday event phenomenal. I look forward to my next event. All in all, this place is the most elegant and I highly recommend to everyone!!!

Lisa A. My friend and I just celebrated our birthdays last night at this beautiful new addition to the Richmond district. The appetizers we shared - beef tongue platter and potatoes - were excellent, delicious! The lamb shank entrée was the best I have ever had, and the salmon was quite good. The portions were hefty. The staff surprised us with a birthday song and candles in both of the desserts we ordered, plus a chocolate greeting written on our plates. The Napoleon and chocolate mousse were both excellent and delicious choices. The venue is beautiful, the staff warm and welcoming. A very vibrant yet elegant place to savor some of the many Russian dishes available on the menu and celebrate any special occasion or just the day!

Went to Hermitage 1 20 19 to celebrate a close family friend's birthday and it was amazing. Everything was The food, music and service was excellent. A couple of years ago celebrated my own 50th and it was amazing as well. Many new and delicious variety of dishes. Thanks for a memorable evening with my family and friends. Also, let me add that we just catered the food for our new year party for the 4th year in a row and it was fabulous as well. Thank you Zinachka and staff.

    Beautiful servings, great food!

We had a great time celebrating my father's jubilee at Hermitage. Food is delicious and served absolutely beautiful, service is very good and friendly. The whole restaurant is decorated to set a mood for celebration and live music is great. We ordered a banquet menu, but some of our guests had special requests, which were fulfilled with no problem. I highly recommend this place.

Friendly, efficient, and keeping the pints flowing with a smile pure pro. If you're looking for great music, cozy atmosphere, and genuine Irish-pub charm in San Francisco, this is the spot. Sláinte!

It's within walking distance to J-town which is really nice in terms of getting food before a show…read more(most things are not late night in SF, so this is the play since after a show, most things will already be closed) and it is possible to find free parking if you have eyes that search and see. My boyfriend and I came here to see TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (real anime heads know - Tokyo Ghoul, Psycho Pass, etc. or if you're a fan of math rock). We got the GA tickets and waited in the line for the venue around 40 minutes before the show. We were still in the first 100 or so people in, we were in the line when it curved the corner near the other shopping plaza near the bus stop, so it wasn't too fisted when we went. This was absolutely not the case for the LA show, so the vibes in NorCal versus SoCal are completely different. Staff was welcoming (as best they could) and efficient in checking us in and security was friendly in what they had to do. Much better than some of the other venues I've been to. You have to go upstairs to get to the live house concert stage area. It looks very high end with the lighting, curtains, balcony area, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It's not as grandiose as say the Mayan (RIP), but nice nonetheless. We were probably 3-4 layers of people from the front, but was able to see all of the band members quite well and I was accidentally in the band's Instagram post (with my very funny and cooked back posture). Sound quality was great and really highlighted not only TK's vocals, but the technicality and skill he has on guitar (dude had to swap guitars between each song), as well as all of the support members (their support drummer from Crossfaith has such good stage presence). Nothing sounded too drowned out or overpowering. Good acoustics. The merch table was at the side and I didn't pay too much mind to where the bar was. When walking up stairs I was wondering where to go and loudly asked that question and a kind staff working the coat check in the opposite direction pointed to where to go. I think my only qualm though is the stairs that everyone has to take up, and more importantly down since it gets super crowded. However, they do have an accessible elevator for those who may require it or are ADA. What I love about this venue is the apples they give attendees. Great post concert snack. Sweet and crispy apple. I really love that they do this. And apparently this was the only tour stop that had a free poster with the artist playing too. Love that extra goodie for concert goers since I didn't purchase any merchandise. If there's a band or musician that I know is going to go to the Fillmore, I'm going to try to make the show since I really enjoyed it here!

1 Star - Awful Manager and Staff Experience…read more We attended the Alex Isley concert at The Fillmore and brought our 8-year-old daughter. It was her very first concert, and she absolutely loves Alex Isley. The venue was standing room only, but we found a small corner near the front where we weren't blocking anyone's view. Early in the evening, one female staff member seemed to have an issue with us, although every other staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. At one point, I asked a staff member if it would be okay to put my daughter on my shoulders so she could see the stage. He told me it was absolutely fine, and several other staff members nearby clearly had no issue with it. Later, the same female employee returned and began harassing my wife about our daughter being on my shoulders or standing on a bench that was not obstructing anyone's view. She made a scene unnecessarily and then escalated the situation to a manager. The manager arrived and was just as rude. Although I complied immediately because I didn't want to create a scene in front of my daughter, we felt singled out and bullied throughout the interaction. Ironically, other concertgoers immediately tried to help by offering our daughter space in front of them so she could see the performance. Even more telling, a member of Alex Isley's security team witnessed what happened, approached us afterward, and kindly arranged for my wife, daughter, and me to meet Alex after the show. That completely made our daughter's night and turned what could have been a very disappointing experience into a special memory. The kindness shown by Alex Isley's team and fellow concertgoers stood in stark contrast to the behavior of The Fillmore's manager and this particular staff member. Because of this experience, I will not return to The Fillmore and cannot recommend the venue to others. 1/5 stars.

NightLife at the Academy is always a fun nighttime event to hang out with friends or bring a date!…read moreRewild the City was a special nightlife event that included an open bar and food stations. Same nightlife access with a more fancy atmosphere tonight. 4/5 - Bao Bun - An Asian inspired dish comprised of tangy sauce pickled vegetables, steamed bun, and a chicken tender topped with a sweet, spicy sauce. Super filling and my favorite dish to eat with the drinks. It was a little difficult to eat as a cohesive dish and slightly dry but make no mistake - I was still eating 2 or 3 servings of this! 4/5 - Spring Rolls - The spring rolls were actually vegetable egg rolls that were still cooked well and complemented perfectly with sweet and sour sauce. Easiest snack to walk around and eat! 4/5 - Noodles - They had a chow mein-like noodle dish that was well seasoned and had a kick of spice with their chilis. Pretty decent dish that would've definitely given you your fix of noodles if that's what you would like! 5/5 - Lemon Bars and Strawberries - The outside park had a mini dessert stand and coffee station. The lemon bars were definitely the best dish (though more hidden as it was only one station). The strawberries also tasted fresh and sweet!

I haven't been in a long time, so decided to try out nightlife (adults-only night on Thursdays) so I could avoid all the annoying, misbehaved kids during the day. Not all kids (and parents) are misbehaving during normal hours, but a lot of them are and it tends to ruin the experience for others, which is why I tried out nightlife. I'm not a drinker, so I can't speak about any of the drinks, but the overall experience was pretty cool, with some caveats. The rainforest is only open until 7:30pm, so you have only an hour and a half to go there and see that. I suggest going there first. The rainforest is by far, in my opinion, the BEST part of the academy. So many pretty butterflies and birds to see. I love it. The macaws, however, were not there (they had to go to bed early). If you want to see the aquarium areas, it's probably best to do that during normal hours because a lot of the nighttime lighting was on, which makes the tanks dark and hard to see. I was a bit bummed about that. The living roof was cool, but had so much more potential. There are so many beautiful California native plants they could put there, but instead it was very drab and not super interesting. It was a nice quiet area to go to get away from people, though. The planetarium show was about the coral reefs, which was interesting, but short. I'm not sure if I would go to another show. I haven't been super impressed with their shows in the past, so it's probably a skip for most people. Plus, it was very cramped in there and no food or drink is allowed. We went on Filipino night (Mabuhay), which was the theme of the evening, so there was a lot of Filipino-themed food and vendors there. Honestly, though, I was not impressed with the food truck food. Super overpriced and not very authentic to Filipino cuisine, which was disappointing. $10+ for mid boba drinks... Yikes. $20 for some nachos or tacos (and the portions were very small). Yeah, I would skip the food and drinks and eat before coming here. So much of it was a rip-off. The music was SUPER loud, which I didn't like, but night life is more of a party atmosphere, so it's to be expected. At least there are places to go and chill out away from the noise. Overall it was a fun experience and I might go back. But I think to fully appreciate the exhibits, you should probably go during a normal day when everything is open and well-lit. I would probably just go on a weekday in September when school is starting and field trips aren't scheduled yet to avoid the crowds of people and kids. But I'm still glad we experienced it and we had a good time.
