Hermitage Hill Country Resort is a function centre as well as easy accommodation. It is in what was once the old hospital so the place definitely has character. There is a restaurant at the resort that caters for breakfast and dinners. In the hot weather there is a pool for the guests to enjoy. I organised my mother's 80th Birthday luncheon there and Wayne and Lisa Shepard did a fantastic job of preparing the room, meeting the dietary needs of some and serving delicious food that was presented so beautifully. The cost was very reasonable. The Sheppards made all the guests feel comfortable and there was no time limit in leaving the venue as many guests hadn't seen one another in years. I would highly recommend this venue for any function. There is ample parking. There is no public transport to the venue. But then again... if you were staying in one of the cabins then you could just walk across the yard to the event and then later stagger home! No booze bus would pick you up! read more
