Still with me? Marcello came out and was right on time, pleasant, didn't mince words and gave me a price 1/2 to 1/3 of what we'd been charged in Northern Virginia 10 years ago. We had a deal before he left that day. Fast forward, but not too far. The tree was supposed to be removed on a Friday, his guys were there on the Tuesday preceding and the hard work was almost done before I got outside to see what was going on. They even cleaned up their entire "mess". Next, the stump was supposed to be ground down on Saturday. Friday morning the guy shows up, I lock up the dogs and he's done before I know it and even took out a 2nd stump nearby that was an easier job and didn't even mention it. And I still haven't gotten a bill! I will most certainly pay it once it does show up with zero delay. Today my neighbor comes over. I should have another review for you very soon. I hope it's as good as this one. These guys make things Easy. I'm doing business with them again in the near future. This is good, old fashioned American service the way I can remember it. But in 2020 - it definitely stands out. BTW, Marcello explained to me about the licensing, bonding, etc., but he put the icing on the cake when he told me their company also had workman's compensation on their guys (which a lot of company's may not). He didn't mention any names, but he did say to make sure you ask for and see the company's papers if you are going to do business. Always a smart move and especially appreciated the detail. I asked if he could just mulch them and he said yes but didn't do anything, and then hauled them away. He said he'd come back to fix the fence he pulled down. I had to threaten to hire someone else and bill him before he finally came out. He said he'd fix it quick so the dogs wouldn't get out and he'd come back, but ghosted me. Gave me a sob story about his divorce and moving and having to take on more work, but who DOESN'T have struggles?! My fence is embarrassing and I've had to get quotes from other companies and work a side job to save up to have it fixed. If you hire him - pay the deposit, but withhold the last 25% until he's ACTUALLY done. He'll ghost you otherwise.

Over time, the service became very minimal. Areas of the yard were left uncut, bushes were not properly maintained, edging was not being done, and there was very little weed eating under the backyard fence line. This allowed the neighbor's grass to grow into my yard. During one of the final visits, several areas of grass were left over a foot tall, which made it look like parts of the yard had not been cut at all. When I emailed Pedro to cancel and explained the issues, he did not ask any questions, offer to come inspect the yard, apologize, or try to make it right. He simply acknowledged the cancellation. He later billed me for May, which was the same month I cancelled due to the poor service and the yard not being properly maintained. When I questioned the invoice, he insisted that the balance was still owed and stated that they provide "high quality work." In my experience, that was not the case. The work performed on my property felt rushed and incomplete, and the response after I raised my concerns was disappointing. I would not recommend this company based on the quality of service I received and the lack of accountability when problems were brought to their attention.
