How the mighty have fallen. I get that business models change with market conditions. First Heroes stopped offering lunch. Now their kitchen closes at 8p during the week, even though they tell you they are open until midnight? Go figure, weird business model. At least add, and manage, a sign that indicates whether the kitchen is open or closed.

Review is based on bar area only. Friendly and attentive staff...no doubt! Ordered a few drinks and I have to say...I was beyond impressed with the selection of beers. They carry Shiner Bock! It's a Texan beer founded by German and Czech peeps. Yahooooo, gotta love Heroes! Food? Tasted wings in the past (4 years ago) and other bar food...all great back then. Ambience is so much fun! Lights everywhere with memorabilia, antiques, and photos all around the venue. And huge alcohol selection. Love Heroes!

We went out to meet friends for holiday drinks and decided on the festive atmosphere at Heroes, "Where good friends meet!" They have absolutely any kind of beer you would want and a full bar with many delicious specialty cocktails. After drinks and before heading home, not driving, I realized I was hungry and craving the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I ordered it to go with curly fries and boy did it hit the spot. Like all of Heroes portions, they are extremely generous and delicious. I absolutely love this place and the staff, my server Samantha was a sweetheart and very attentive. We will definitely keep coming back!

Came here for a great dinner! I have definitely been to Heroes before, but just for drinks, this was the first time I had a proper meal here. Walked in with the pooch and headed straight to the back patio. It was a happenin' Saturday night outside and folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. I loved the beer selection! There were so many and I chose a tasty sour while my date got a yummy cider. Both were super good. For meals, I ordered the Black and Blue burger. Admittedly it was a bit too salty, but me after a few drinks would have loved this. I was really shocked by the ribeye my date got! It was huge, juicy, and a great value. Usually at spots like this, I steer clear of steak, but clearly I was mistaken about heroes! So good Cute little lowkey date night. I know ill be back!

New favorite date spot! Phenomenal value for your meals, really cute decor inside and everything we tried was excellent. Service was great and it had a great community feel. Can't wait to come back!

First the time to get in was a few minutes before we got seated and we got the fried pickles for the appetizer and chips the chips were crispy and some were soggy, while the pickles were juicy and crunchy, and our food took about 5 to 10 minutes and the service was great the waiter checked in on us and asked about the food, and the food was in a HUGE portions and what we got were the patty melt ,hero burger, and California burger (all in combos) , and the restaurant its self was bright with Christmas lights all around the restaurant.

A good spot to grab a bite to eat, a drink and chat it up with your friends or family while watching a game! A casual sports restaurant in the downtown Fullerton area. Our food was delicious, the drink cups are pretty big which is good because you get what you pay for. I will say going on a week day, we were watching the game and the restaurant closed an hour earlier than online says so, but that makes sense if there's not a lot of customers that day, resulting in an early close. Weekends or big game days are far more popping and popular buzzing with energy. The staff is pretty chill and will give suggestions if you ask. Kinda wish the menu had smaller shareable appetizers.

Love this place. Great food, great beer and amazing staff. Christian is the best bartender in the entire planet. He's Always making sure I never run out of beer in my glass! Even tho sometimes I may feel like I blew my entire net worth, definitely worth the visits every payday. Thank you Heros!!!

Great customer service. Cool ambiance. The patio has lights but they kind of block the vision of the tv. Good food and nice size portions. I had the burger with fries and nachos. Both were good.

if you're looking for a place to sit around and gossip with the bestie, this is it. a long day of work means winding down with a drink and a lot of comfort food, especially when you're an adult that hates the fact you have to pay bills for the rest of your life (thanks mom and dad. never got the tip about condoms, huh?) coming from a person who is EXCEPTIONALLY light and sound sensitive, i don't actually prefer places that are a crowd-favorite. i tend to stay away from bars, but the bestie is a bit of a socialite and loves the atmosphere of this place. tends to go out a bit more than me and recommended that we tackle this place so we can talk. and here's the thing. you actually CAN talk and hear people. the atmosphere is lively, but not overwhelming. i'd like to think the drinks helped. walking in, you do have to assert yourself. you don't wait around or you'll be waiting for a hot second. so big suggestions for people who are a bit more weary to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. politely wave someone down and say you're looking for a table. the drinks and the food come next. be patient! the girl that served us was a doll and the pizza was the right amount of greasy comfort that one needs when you accidentally pick the largest glass to sip on throughout the night.

I nearly s**t a brick when I saw this sign @Hero's. This is the store where my mom bought me shoes as a child in Hobart, Indiana.
    PC M.

Food is good. Beer is excellent. That "Hobart Shoes" sign in the alley entrance used to hang above the door where my mother used to take me to buy shoes when I was a child in Hobart, Indiana. I really thought I was hallucinating when I got out of my car and saw that sign? I had a modest hangover, turned round and leaned on the hood of my car to get my stuff properly packed, then looked again. The sign was still there. Only God Knows how this artifact found its way from my home town to a back entrance of a Fullerton Bar????

Had dinner there on Saturday, we like to get there early so they don't run out of prime rib. Unfortunately prime rib is now only served a few days a week. However, dinner was delicious. The service was outstanding and of course I love the ambience with the music and the Flatscreens showing all the respective games.

When I ordered my leftover tuna melt sandwich to go, I was impressed that the server labeled the box and dated it. This little detail showed the server cares for its customers. Food - came here for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. I ordered a tuna melt sandwich, my hubby ordered a short rib benedict; other people in our party ordered chilaquiles, omelet and burger. The burger was very large that two people were able to share it. Everyone seemed to be satisfied with their food except my hubby and I. The tuna in my sandwich was super salty, I could barely eat it. Still, I asked to take my leftover home so I can remedy it by adding pickles or something sweet to temper the saltiness. My hubby said his short rib benedict was meh, nothing to write home about. I didn't want to ruin my friend's birthday by making a fuss about our orders. I am just quite surprised how anyone can screw up a tuna sandwich. By the way, this was not the only place this has happened. It is my favorite sandwich and unfortunately, I have been let down many times - Superba (too dry), Goat and Vine (too salty) and now here. They should try this sandwich at Cafe R&D in Newport Beach or even Corner Bakery where they make it well. So disappointing and sad!

Ambience on the inside as well as the outside are both pretty great. I've also never had a bad meal here, virtually all of their food is spectacular and made from scratch although their prices are not "cheap" they are also very fair, especially given the quality of food. The drinks are also dead on, they have a wide range of craft beer as well as a full bar. The service is great. The only thing I could think of the lands in the constructive arena is their live music. Sometimes they have open mic nights, other times they have a hired band or musician. The music is way, wayyy too loud. I don't mind live music, but it can't be so loud that you are unable to enjoy the company. Patrons should be able to talk to the person or the people next to them without being drowned out by the music. I recently came with friends for drinks and we were having a great time for the first 10 minutes we were there, but when the music started, we couldn't hear each other talk at all. So we just sat there quietly, drowned out to mediocre music. We all had another drink and then left. Might be a better idea to have the music loud enough to be slightly above background noise, but low enough where you can reasonably talk and listen to those around. Even ordering at the bar was tough. We would yell an order at the bartender, who would yell at back for confirmation. Often, exchanges in this dialogue included "what was that?"

The crispy rice looked and tasted interesting. These were cubes of rice packed together with the outer edges fried. The cube resembled fried tofu because the inner part was soft with rice filling. I thought the dressing was decent and complemented the salad more than the ahi tuna. This entree comes in a large portion as well. Overall, the ambience was decent inside. Since there were tables already reserved inside, the bar was the best place to watch the game. The inside dining area was relaxed as we were the only ones there for the majority of our visit. We talked a little bit with the bartender as well. I was also surprised to see some board games at one side of the restaurant. In contrast, the patio was lively, and there was someone performing music. There weren't many suitable tables to watch the match outside, so we opted for dining inside.

The venue appeared to be focused on creating a nightclub atmosphere rather than providing a proper football watch party. There was a DJ, extremely loud music, and a host who continuously provided her own commentary throughout the match. Instead of allowing fans to enjoy the game, she repeatedly interrupted play with jokes, personal observations, and constant microphone chatter that distracted from the match. Halftime was especially frustrating. Rather than preparing for the second half, the host performed multiple songs while fans on the patio were asking for the match audio to be turned on. Even after the game resumed, the unnecessary commentary continued for the remainder of the match. To make matters worse, there was a $30 cover charge. I purchased tickets for my entire group in advance, spending well over $200 before food and drinks. For that price, I expected a venue that understood people were there to watch one of the biggest sporting events in the world--not to watch the host become the center of attention. A great World Cup watch party lets the match create the atmosphere. The crowd, the chants, the tension, and the emotion are what make these events memorable. Unfortunately, those moments were constantly interrupted. I genuinely wanted to like Chako's Social, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. If you're looking for a true football viewing experience where the game comes first, I cannot recommend it based on my visit.

For example, the cottage cut (seven ounces) costs $39 instead of $59 on Wednesdays. Despite the pricy menu items, the food quality, service, and ambience make for an excellent opportunity to celebrate a special occasion. Firstly, we ordered the seaside sampler for four as an appetizer. This included Chesapeake Bay-style crab cakes, chilled Mexican prawns, and ahi sashimi. I enjoyed the ahi sashimi the most as the large and fresh slices had a nice sear with a savory seasoning on the edges. The crab cakes tasted great and filling with a dill horseradish aioli as the menu listed. While I didn't try the prawns, my mom enjoyed those the most as they had a slightly sweet flavor. I did enjoy the cocktail sauce. Secondly, I ordered the cottage cut, which included seven ounces of roasted prime rib, creamed corn au gratin, creamed spinach, and a Yorkshire popover. The cut tasted lovely at medium rare as it had a soft texture and good balance of meat and fat. I appreciated that my mom got an especially thick cut of prime rib. Seven ounces feels just right for me given that the entree includes other sides. The creamed corn au gratin tasted a little sweet without an overwhelming flavor. I liked how the creamed spinach had a similar taste. A Yorkshire popover has an airy texture with a buttery and eggy taste. Au jus and horseradish butter elevated the prime rib. Thirdly, we had an English trifle for dessert. The menu says that the trifle consists of cake layers soaked with rum and brandy, including English custard, strawberries, Chantilly cream, and caramelized sliced almonds. It had a uniquely sweet flavor due to the soaking, and the almonds provided some crunch. I found the dessert tasty. I found the staff polite, friendly, and professional. Our server disclosed the discounts on their prime rib cuts and listed their prices. She also mentioned other featured entrees in detail. The staff also consistently refilled my water glass. We also had the opportunity to ask another staff member for olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette for our baked bread. He came back and made a little small talk, fondly reminiscing how his former restaurant would serve the same sauces with their bread. My mom also got a birthday card with a printed message and signatures from the staff. The restaurant provided a simply elegant ambience. While entering the indoor seating area, we passed an exhibition kitchen and table displaying various desserts. Customers generally wore semi-formal clothing, and the restaurant recommends business-casual attire. A pianist played various songs and tunes to make for a fancy yet calm atmosphere. I especially enjoyed how the pianist played "Clair de lune." It felt nice to experience a rare moment of hearing classical music played inside a restaurant. It didn't taste like crab cake either. The scallops appetizer was also lacklustre as the bacon had some heavy baking soda aftertaste?!? The mushroom appetizer was different. Highlights from the meal included the dry aged prime ribeye which had a fantastic char, fantastic marbling, and cooked to a perfect medium rare! Portions were gigantic and perfect for sharing! The chilean sea bass entree was also gigantic and really nicely executed with super flakey sea bass. The bone marrow mac and cheese was very rich and came out as a gigantic portion, perfect for sharing. Our waitress throughout the evening was fantastic. Ended the meal off with the dessert sampler which was a fantastic way to try out all their desserts in a smaller portion! ~$110/head after tax and gratuity with plenty of leftovers!

Wow! We came for…read moretheir new Gatsby tea service and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is gorgeous and on point. We started with The Gatsby Effect drink which came in beautiful glasses and a tower that drips butterfly pea tea gin into your glass, changing the color of your drink. There's only one tower option with dinner. It comes with an entire 1 oz container of caviar with crumb fresh, chicken nuggets with crown fresh smoked trout caviar and chives, spicy ahi tuna wonton chip, mini lobster rolls, kettle chips, shrimp cocktail shooters, wagyu sliders, and chicken Caesar salad skewers. Nothing disappointed! Everything was high quality. Shrimp was plump n meaty. The service was great! Our waitress was very nice and checked up on us often. This was a great meal, great service, and great price! I would definitely come back

Tea was really disappointing. Can you call it a tea experience when they use tea bags my loose leaf with a lack of a tea selection and have to share a tea pot with 3 people? This was a really big let down. It's not your traditional tea. Sandwiches were fine. I enjoyed a couple of them. The biscuit was good. They also didn't have scones and clotted cream. In my opinion not a true tea experience. Desserts were not good. The attempt made for the ube and pandan were more of a trend following technique rather than a true love in creating something delicious. It was a disappointment. The experience wasn't terrible it was just okay. Stick to a proper tea place is you are looking for a proper tea experience. If you want just cute pictures and just a great ambiance then you'll be fine coming here. I was between giving 2 and 3 stars for this place. I can't deny this was a cute place. $45 a setting... I didn't see the value. I think this place would be better for just pure brunch rather than tea.

One of our favorite places that we have ever tried! The appetizers are a must try!…read more The fries were so crispy yet so fluffy on the inside. The ahi tuna was amazing, must try. The rigatoni was ok, nothing surprising. The steak had a very strong wine glaze which was not our favorite. It was very busy when we got there but we were lucky to get a small table by a tree. All the servers seem to help all the tables so service was a bit chaotic as different servers asked us if we ordered already. Regardless, all of the servers were super kind. This restaurant only has outdoor seating area which creates a breezy and chill vibe when the weather is nice.

When we checked in with the hostess, she asked if we had a reservation and when we said no, she gave us some attitude. I explained that we saw there were plenty of reservations available and booked it for 5:15 on Yelp. When I told the hostess I that I booked the 5:15 reservation on Yelp, she rolled her eyes at me. The manager wasn't helpful either. When we informed them that we have decided to leave and go somewhere else, they just say ok. No apology or attempt to try and seat us. Obviously, we were more of a bother to them. Bummer, cause I heard the food was pretty good. Restaurants are part of the hospitality industry, so when they have bad hospitality, it ruins the experience.

It helped that it wasn't crowded. The outdoor seating is nice. My friend and I shared the vegan BFF board. You get to select two cheeses. I highly recommend the brie. We thought we might also order a sandwich, but everything on the board along with a glass of wine for each of us was just the right amount of food for the 2 of us. I'm so glad this place has vegan options. I'm looking forward to trying their other cheeses, vegan meats, and their sandwiches.

They also have happy hour Tuesdays-Thursday from 2:00-5:30pm, where they offer house wines for $5 and personal cheese board for $10. For boards, I usually get the Goldilocks specialty board, which comes with 3 cheeses ranging in texture from soft to hard. For an additional cost, you can add meat: prosciutto, salami, Spanish chorizo, or half & half of any two. For paninis, everything I've tried was very good. I've had the Signature which has a double-cream brie, pear slices, mixed greens, and fig jam. Lib Grilled Cheese comes with three premium cheese blend, grilled with olive oil, and minced garlic. All paninis are on their sourdough bread and served with their signature side salad. The decor here is very cute - showcasing their cheese fridge and shelves lined with wines and jams available for purchase. There are some tables both indoors and outside. I recently saw that they host events, offer quick same-day catering within 2-3 hours of ordering, and deliver for orders up to 50 people! Always coming back for their cheese boards and great happy hour!
