Great hotel it was clean and the rooms were somewhat large. The hotel is not in Barcelona, but I didn't mind the Uber into town. Check out was easy and there are taxis stationed at the hotel for easy transport to the airport. read more

I enjoyed my time here - it is clean and reasonably priced, but not more than a 3-star hotel…read more I stayed here for 4 nights on business. I upgraded to an executive suite. The room was spacious for Europe, with a large bedroom, entryway, and bathroom. The highlight was the patio balcony, overlooking the city. However, I didn't make much use of this, as there were only two chairs, no table, and no recliner on my patio (other patios did have a recliner). The hotel is only steps to the hospital area, and about a 10-minute walk to the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya (through a pretty park). The disadvantages of this hotel are as follows. Firstly, the location. Unless you need a hotel near the hospital, or near the conference centre, this is FAR from downtown (at least 30 minutes by taxi or public transport). There's really not much around. There are some coffee shops and restaurants, but these require 30 minutes walk minimum. Secondly, the rooms are somewhat dated. The bathrooms and carpets need updating. The wifi is terrible - barely usable for email, without an upgrade option. Finally, the gym is very basic. A treadmill (which I couldn't get to work), and elliptical, a couple of bikes, and some free weights. Overall, I was comfortable in my stay, and it was convenient for meetings at the conference centre (and cheaper than the Fairmont). It was worth the stay, but not an outstanding hotel.
The hotel is a bit outdated but the views are gorgeous. My room has a strong odor of a smoker…read more The front desk was kind and sent housekeeping up immediately. Unfortunately, the air freshener sprayed won't do the trick. I will sleep with my window open for fresh air! I'm easy.

This is definitely a five-star hotel!…read more I don't care how far away it is from the central business district of Barcelona. A line of taxis was almost always waiting right outside the hotel entrance, and a short walk to a nearby metro station got us to Las Ramblas within 15 minutes on a straight shot, with no transfer required. The amenities in our plush room were great, and the view of Barcelona from our eighth floor windows, with the Olympic stadium in the distance and a polo field just below, on which ponies were in training, superb. Although the large flat screen television in our room was not working initially, it was swiftly repaired within a few minutes of our call to the front desk. Concierges and other hotel staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful throughout our three-night stay here. The luxurious facilities of the hotel's magnificent Royal Club Fitness & Spa helped make the few idle daytime hours spent on premises even more enjoyable and memorable. When lodging in Barcelona, this is where I will always be staying!

Great area for Business stay, clean, simple & convenient. Room we got was upgraded w/ patio & mini living room & kitchenette area. There's NO Bellman, so if you have lots of bags, they'll just give you the luggage cart that barely fits in the elevator you might feel a little claustrophobic, lol. Just fyi, the tub shower stall is really narrow w/ half glass door cover wets the floors & the toilet seat.

We had a junior suite that had a bedroom and living area and they brought us a rollaway bed for my daughter. The bathroom door didn't have a lock and it was glass so anyone else in the room could see inside if they wanted. I really liked the enclosed balcony, it had a table and chairs and was like you were inside and outside at the same time. There were shutters you could open and close to your liking but watch out! Pigeons kept trying to get in and one got stuck between the shutters on the room next to us. The room also had a nice espresso/coffee machine and tea. We had to call down a few times for extra towels, toilet paper and coffee but they brought it right up. We had breakfast included with our room but never actually went. There is a grocery store and a few restaurants within walking distance and the metro was about a mile. It wasn't in a real close location to everything but it was easy enough to get where you wanted to go.

Front desk staff even helped us with transportation to the train station on our last day. Loved their free breakfast! All three twin beds were comfy but took up most of the room so you don't have a lot of space for big luggages so pack light! Not really close to the major attractions like La Familia Segrada or Parc Guell but we took a hop on hop off bus that took us there. Ask the front desk staff about the hop on hop off bus, they can set everything up for you!

We did arrive a little late. We had two individuals helping our big group and they looked like they just got out of high school. When asked for a manager they said there wasn't one. How can you manage the hotel without a manager. I hope they can see this post and improve on their customer service skills.
