Instead, the fish remained the focus of this dish and it was excellent. The mayonnaise sauce was tasty, but a bit too sweet to my liking. In general, mayonnaise in Holland seems to be a bit sweeter. As for the store itself, it had a wonderful line-up of various seafood items. I would love to try other stuff they have displayed in their shelves.

But indeed, the price is a little shocking, especially if 3 stalls further you can buy a bottle of rose for the same price (even a bit less, actually). Set a time to pick up my order, and went in as scheduled. There is no accomodation if you've already ordered/paid, you simply wait in the crowd until they get to you. My order was ready, I paid, got my order and left. Looked at my receipt and realized that the amount charged in the store was higher than the amount quoted as due in the confirmation email. Full disclosure, it was slightly lower than total amount originally quoted, which I'm assuming meant the actual quantity of meat I received was slightly below what I'd ordered, so they adjusted accordingly, fair enough. But in total, I was still over charged by EUR7.00. Not a huge amount, an easy mistake, so I went back hoping to get a quick credit. Instead I was told that I was in the wrong, no one expects the butcher to charge exactly what was quoted, and I was dismissed, 'I'll look at it at home, do you still want your order?'. So I'll reiterate, good quality, crowded, long wait, unreliable online ordering, and attitude/indifference to any issues. Make your choice accordingly.
