My friends and I had flowers delivered to a friend going through a really hard time. The flowers were beautiful, however the delivery person was incredibly rude to us on the phone. They complained about our friend's house being "too far out into the country" and how they didn't want to "get shot". I find that completely inappropriate and offensive. This company shouldn't accept orders if they're going to be rude about the distance. I was thoroughly disappointed with the service. read more

I was very UNDERWHELMED with the two floral arrangements that Hewitt Florist delivered for a memorial service. I am a trained floral designer myself and was NOT impressed with these arrangements, NOT FOR $300. Hewitt Florist did show online similar arrangements for $95 each, which would have been a better choice. The arrangements delivered did NOT look like $150 each. On my wife's birthday we got a call from Hewitt Florist to confirm our address. It turned out my mother in law placed an out of state order for this arrangement. It was a total surprise for her. I used to work at Kroger grocery and know a little bit about flowers. W the balloons and basket it was what I consider a good deal. There was a good amount of work here and two of the expensive Mylar balloons w the regular ones. About a week later there is quite a lot of life still in the arrangement. I really enjoyed this and my wife really loved her arrangement from her mom. I would consider using when I purchase an arrangement for my wife or mother. The store I worked at in Houston the myler balloons were about ten a piece. This one had two of them and several regular balloons. I believe about 65 was paid and I think we got a fair deal and that was w delivery. read more

Kindness could go a long way ... I went in on V day (30 min before close anticipating few arrangements left) & asked what was apparently a silly question. "Are there any arrangements not in a vase?" Being that I had a bit of a drive back home. I see the ignorance in that now, I could've ordered ahead, but man the response I got was just uncalled for. The matriarch of our family passed away last week. I was trying to find a special florist who could create a beautiful lavender arrangement for her. After reviewing Hewitt florist's website, I selected a lavender spray. I then called to make sure they were aware that the time of the service had changed and then spoke with her regarding my order. I believe they did a fantastic job at creating a beautiful, memorable arrangement. I felt comfortable that she knew what I was wanting and how hard this funeral was going to be for the family. Her favorite color was purple so it was very important the arrangement stuck to that particular color scheme. Everyone wore purple ties and had purple flowers on all the pallbearers. The spray was more than expected. She did a fantastic job and I know my nanny would've loved it. I don't understand some of the negative reviews I've seen on here because from what my experience was, they did everything they could to match the colors I was trying to display. She was wonderful to speak with and I think she built this with her heart. I would completely use this florist again if I ever needed an arrangement in Waco Texas where many of our family live. read more

Not Comforting.... Our family received a plant/arrangement for my mother's funeral from Hewitt Florist. The basket appears old and possibly recycled, there are dead leaves in the bottom along with dried up moss. The cello wrap is dirty/stained and they didn't even bother cleaning off the plant leaves and spraying it to freshen it up. It looks dirty and sad. Even their their business sticker is placed on crooked.. What kind of business sends out work like this? read more

Just moved here to Woodway 3 weeks ago and had our 10th Anniversary today. It's hard to leave the house or use my credit card without my wife knowing so I snuck out to nearby Hewitt Florist yesterday. If I could give no stars I would. I went in on Thursday the 7th to order flowers for my Mom for Mother's Day. I wanted them delivered the next day to her work. I told them I wanted to pay 60 and left it up to them with what to put together. The only thing I asked for was sunflowers. When she rang me up it was 77 and some change. They added on a delivery charge. I figured the 60 would have that included since they didn't state that but whatever, I thought, I'm helping a small business right now when there's a crisis going on and my Mom will get pretty flowers for Mother's Day. They never showed up. I've emailed everyday since with no response and called with no answer. I even thought this morning, as long as they refund me, I'll be fine but now that they are pretty much ignoring me I'm pissed. Who does business like this? I also should have looked at the reviews prior and I would have decided against. Looks like even if I got them they wouldn't be up to $72 standards. Super disappointed cause I'm strapped for cash right now and all my Mom got was a card because I used my money on flowers she never recieved. Rude and not really ever helpful. They always act like it's an inconvenience to help you. They need to learn some customer service skills. ESPECIALLY over the phone when all you can hear is their tone and a big sigh. It's unfortunate because we've gotten several things from them over the years, from homecoming, teacher gifts, birthdays and anniversaries but we've finally decided that we shouldn't have to put up with bad service. i ordered some flowers for my Aunt on line and when we recieved them they were not what i order. I called the the Fromyouflowers and they helped me out on this. Then i called Hewitt Florist who delivered the flowers and the lady was a bit rude and said I could talk to the owner i a week. I paid 80.00 for florist that looked pretty simple not what i order. Was suppose to have 8 roses, 7 carnations & 4 min carnations. My arrangement was 3 red roses 5 carnations & 5 mini carnations the rest was all green leaves. Very disappointed when arrived at the funeral home and saw the arrangement from my family. A medium sized (14") ceramic bowl with an arrangement of assorted greenery is what was ordered and delivered was a small cheap basket (8") of assorted greenery. Very rude women answered at the establishment when I questioned the quality of what I ordered and what was delivered..I will not use this florist again. read more

My family order a Valentine's day flower arrangement and box of chocolates for me and I am disappointed with the customer service. It turns out I did not receive the correct flower arrangement and no chocolates were delivered. I called and spoke to the owner who kept cutting me off when I was speaking and she went on to say that she doesn't like delivering to "Baylor students because they live in apartments and have to deal with gate codes." I find this really silly because many people other than Baylor students live in apartments and honestly Baylor students would probably bring in lots of orders to this business. Additionally, she also says she has been busy with lots of orders which is another silly excuse because that should be expected on a holiday. She tells me it is closing time ( I called at 4:50pm central time) and she would look up my order in the morning. I later google the website and their shop doesn't close until 6pm and their website states "Hewitt Florist values your business and answers calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." I call at lunch time the next day to follow up and let her know that my order was incorrect and she (1) doesn't even acknowledge her mistake (2)never apologized for the mistake (3) sounded very annoyed and just said "when your flowers die, bring your vase and drive up here and get whatever flowers you want" (I don't live in Hewitt so this was just ridiculous to me) I realize the delivery guy was already on his way, but her attitude the entire time was not professional and she just kept saying "I am sending you a balloon, bear, and plenty of chocolate...you were only missing chocolates from your order." Again, she clearly did not know how to be professional and this was my first ever interaction with this shop.....and it will definitely be MY LAST. I did get the chocolates, balloon, another small flower arrangement (not what was ordered at all) and a red Devil bear that seemed more appropriate for Halloween. I would not recommend this place because if that is how the owner acts then I cannot imagine this place ever being a professional place to have flower arrangements from. read more

Best florist around! I've been using them for years and they've ALWAYS done great work. They give you ALOT more flowers for your money than you get at other places. They deliver all over and for a minimal charge. Their wedding flowers are over-the-top gorgeous! When we had a death in the family they were very compassionate and respectful about what we needed and worked to find us what would fit in our budget.
