They use real milk (no artificial creamers) and real tea (no artificial flavors). I'm so into coconut milk-based drinks and Heytea does it right. Their Coconut Mango Boom is a refreshing drink of mango chunks and a light wash of creamy coconut milk. Drinking sago adds perfect texture too. Their Mango Grapefruit Boom reminds me of a popular Hong Kong dessert. The mango, sago, grapefruit (& I'm assuming it's coconut milk?) was also delightful in taste and texture. Silky & slightly sweet. Drinks were a hit, but ordering the drinks wasn't clear or as user-friendly on the kiosk. When I came, they were referring everyone to order at the kiosk. The menu didn't list non-caffeinated items (I have little ones). It seems that all items are teas and have caffeine. So definitely drinks aren't kid-friendly. I wish their menu listed the ingredients of each drink. I also couldn't customize milks. It seems they only use milk and coconut milk. Downside: - The shop is super tiny with no tables. The waiting area is essentially outside. - Not a kid-friendly menu. - This spot is a take-out only and not a hangout spot to meet with friends. After mixing in the matcha foam, it was the perfect sweetness for me. This drink comes with matcha jelly, which was not sweet or flavorful. Super strong matcha flavor Brown sugar bobo milk - really good if you don't want caffeine I also came back to try their fruity drinks. One thing I would like to note it's the ordering part for sugar is not clear. I decided to try the grape cheese foam and realized my drink tasted really articulate like fake sugar. Since the shop prides itself on no artificial flavors, I went back to ask why my drink tasted really artificial. He then checked my drink and label and said that's because I picked the 0- cal fake sweetener. I think that part was not clear at all on the ordering online part since it says real 0-cal sweetener. He told me you're supposed to just leave that part blank. So just a heads up if you're placing an online order- skip the sugar selection area. This was my first time coming here after hearing so many good things about their matcha. I stopped by around 6PM, and it was super crowded. By the time I got to the front, most of the matcha drinks were already sold out. I ended up getting the Cloud Coconut Blue and the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. The total came out to $15.98. The Cloud Coconut Blue was super light and refreshing, and I liked that it didn't have that strong coconut aftertaste. The Supreme Brown Sugar Milk Tea tasted like any classic brown sugar milk tea, but their boba was really good. Kept hearing rave reviews bout this place so came here to get some teas and turns out I've been here a couple times. The first few times I got milk tea boba. This place is at the end of the strip of the building. Parking on this side is limited so parking can be hard. There's always a long line but you can order at the front but there is also a kiosk next to the counter so you can order on your own. This time I ordered the mango coconut drink that has sago less sweet. It has lots of chunks of real mango. The sweetness was perfect as less sweet. The 2 stars is mostly for this location and the service. It was a bit disappointing as the service here was terrible. I've had Heytea before at other locations, and the service and the drinks were always great, but this location was just a bit of a letdown. I came here with a few friends as it was our last stop, and we were wrapping up our night with some sugary goodness. We decided to stop at Heytea since the other day we were at the Honeymee next door, and it was like we should get Heytea next time. We went around 8pm, and of course, there were quite a few groups ordering and waiting. It took a while to order as there was only one Kiosk in the store, and no one was taking orders at the front, so at one point I saw the line go out the door. You can also order online, but when I tried with my phone, it just wouldn't scan the QR code, so I just waited in line and ordered from the kiosk. After we finished ordering, we just waited outside as the shop is super tiny and you really can't wait inside as there is no seating inside and the space basically is for the line queue for the kiosk... I would also note that there is no outside seating either, so if you plan to stay a while, you'll just have to stand outside. Once the orders are finished, it is kind of hard to tell since they don't call out the order loudly, so it is hard to hear when orders are ready. There is also the issue that there are a bunch of other people standing around at the entrance. Our drinks probably sat at the pickup window for a good 2-3 minutes before we noticed it was ready. I say about 2-3 minutes since you also spend about 2-3 more minutes trying to get someone to give you the order. I got a Coconut Mango Boom, and it was basically almost all the way melted, maybe 2/3? way melted. My order came out fine, just as I expected, minus being a bit melted. We ordered a total of 6 drinks, and 2 of the 6 drinks came out incorrectly. One order came out with double boba added to the drink, so the boba was about 1/2 the cup, and we did ask if we could get a remake of the drink; however, they said the drink was made correctly as per the order and refused to remake it. When we ordered the drink, however, it did not include double boba in the order window when we were checking out, so not sure where the additional boba serving came from. However, they did remake a different drink that my friend had, as their drink was too sweet and my friend ordered 0% sweetness... My overall experience here wasn't too great. Overall, the drinks were okay, the service was a bit lacking, along the overall setting. Maybe if I'm in the area and have an urge to have Heytea, then I'll stop by again and update my review, but for now, I'll be stopping by other boba shops nearby. read more
