Filled papers quick but wasn't seen until after 1:15pm. 4) niece was taken in before me, but wasn't worked in until some time after me (both appointments were at 12:30) 5) my lashes were falling out while still there. 6) messaged them so I wouldn't make a seen but no response until 3 days later 7) one eyelash kept going in my eye daily every 10 minutes and never fell out. Kept hurting for over a week. 8) horrible first experience. I never want to do them again. I came here again to do classic's & Eileen did mine. She was very sweet. However, my appt was @ 9am & I didnt get out til 1pm. My lashes was alright but they were going all kinds of directions instead of straight, how classics are suppose to look. And they were clumped up. I know classics are 1 natural lash to 1 synthetic lash. But no, I got 2-3 synthetic's on 1 natural. I tried to comb through the lashes & it kept getting stuck to where they were hurting. UPDATE: 03/12/2019, 12:09pm- My eyes are still red on both sides. My eyelids are still raw and burn when I use my face cleanser. I put clear eyes eye drops , and it still leaves some red behind. Sad the owner seems more concerned about her STAFF then trying to alleviate my suffering. In response to the owner: protect your staff? Really?? What kind of response was that? WHAT ABOUT COMING TO MY AIDE WHEN MY EYES WAS BEING DESTROYED? I can't believe your still allowing her on the floor without proper training. Dude wth!! Also I did put in my original review saying you had text me, and refunded my money. I did not leave that part out. And honestly, why would I want to come back to a business in which the owner didn't do anything WHILE I was getting my service done? You say that you told me the same DAY you would have them removed? No hunny!! all you said was call me and I'll give you a free refill and fix it if there's any problems. Please don't lie about something like that. UPDATE: 7:39pm- I went to the Beauty Room Mililani to have these lashes removed. Thanks to Mai for saving my natural lashes(or as much as she could.) Although she was able to remove the extensions it did take her 1 1/2 hours. Lash removal services should only take 10-15 minutes. Plenty of the extensions were glued directly on to my eye lids. Mai told me, my lashes were the worst removal she's ever had. WOW! Sabrina, the owner of HI Lashthetics did get in touch with me around 8am, and refunded my 140$. I did tell her upon receiving refund I would remove my post. But when I sent her pictures of my eyes AFTER removing the extensions, she did not return my text messages. Thankfully Yelp didn't delete my original review completely. I will not be taking my post down, and I'll be getting in touch with the BBB. SUPER DANGEROUS BUSINESS PRACTICE. Check my page, the only time I review places is when I totally love them. Yesterday evening I booked an appointment with this company. I found them while I was browsing IG. I saw how beautiful Sabrina and Deejay did lashes, so I of course wanted to book with one or the other. They need to fix their scheduling online first of all, because I booked with Sabrina and got pushed to a Jr stylist. At least let me know your schedule was already booked or black it out online! Next you need to fix the labels and pricing online. Its super confusing and pricing is wrong. I did call before leaving home to confirm they got my reservation and they last minute pushed me off to Terry. I felt that even though she was a JR stylist she was already hired at the salon so she must be good at lashing. I got to my appointment and she didn't have all her lashes ready. Then it came to taping my bottom lashes and top lashes....first of all she missed a few bottom lashes on both sides causing my lashes to be glued together halfway through my service. Top of my eyes had MULTIPLE tapes and it was super uncomfortable. Terry did not know what she was doing. The owner barely bothered to help aide in my situation. MY SERVICE LASTED 4 HOURS!!!! I teared multiple times and all they did was give me a fan and kept asking if I was okay. I tried my best to be patient and understand wtf was happening but honestly WTF??? HOW CAN YOU GUYS HIRE TECHS THAT ARENT EVEN TRAINED PROPERLY. The owner didn't offer a discount, only that I can get a free refill and to give her a call....wait what??? Hmmm okay...I politely said okay thank you and paid... 140$ for a JR stylist that didn't know wtf she was doing.... Is this a professional business? NO. Are they concerned for the well being of their clients? NO. As the owner said her previous client teared up like the niagra falls AND RAN OUT OF TEARS...OMG. 4 hours and I left their business in pain, embarrassed because I felt like they were being sarcastic about my eyes burning/watering. As soon as I got to my truck I literally started to cry. It's 9:18pm and my eyes are red and super irritated from the lashes scratching my eyeballs. Love this place!...formally went to another person for over 4 years and my last set was very out the ordinary and resulted in a mild infection which went south after only one week. I found HI Lasthetics from Yelp and despite the one negative review wanted to see for myself what kind of business they were and customer service they offered. First impressions are always the most important for any business. Happy to say upon arrival to my appointment I noticed how clean and organized the establishment looked and was greeted immediately which made me feel very welcomed as a new client. I was able to meet Sabrina and Terry. Terry was the one who did my new set and both of them educated me on what was going on with my lashes. Needless to say Terry had to Redo my set and really took her time all the while educating me on proper care to assure my lashes would not only grow but become healthy as well. Sabrina also took the time to show me the correct way extensions should be placed and importance of cleaning and brushing. Upon my first fill I was fortunate to meet Rayna and has twice done an amazing job where they not only look beautiful but have managed to stay on without pulling any of my natural ones out. It has been over almost 2 months since I started going to them and my natural lashes have started filling in quite nicely and feels healthier. The lash technician I normally see is on vacation and I was in desperate need of a fill while she was gone. I found this business on yelp and saw that they have the option to have a student lash technician do your lashes which I don't mind because lash tech students take their time to ensure their work is good/correct. I checked the pictures and read the reviews and the business looked pretty promising, so I decided to give this place a try. My appointment was at 5:30pm and when when we started the lash tech student suggested I have my current remaining lashes removed which I agreed to. The removal process takes time so I understand that it took about a little over 30mins to remove my existing lash set. When we finally got started the lash tech student seemed to be doing ok. She didn't wear gloves which I'm not used to, so it was strange to have her bare hands all over my forehead. She was also pretty heavy handed and felt like she was leaning on my head instead of just resting her hands on it. Again, I'm aware I chose a student technician so I wasn't expecting perfection. So fast forward now to 8:15pm, I'm finally at the register with the owner paying for the services I received. The lash removal was $25 which is the highest I've seen as most places charge $10-$15. The lashes looked ok. Not as thick/full as I expected them to be after spending almost 3 hrs total in a chair, but I was happy to be finally leaving. When I got home, I took a closer look at the lashes in my magnifying mirror, and found that the tech had glued fans of lashes to 3-4 of my natural lashes! The ends of the lash extensions were drenched in glue and clumped and there was even glue on the end of the lashes which caused the spoolie to pull on the lashes because they would get stuck in the glue when trying to comb out the lashes. I was mortified! I couldn't believe I actually paid to have this done to my lashes. Anyway, I ended up removing the lashes that night and I don't think I'll be returning to this business. Again, I understand that I chose a student tech, but I was really hoping a professional would double check the students work after to ensure the extensions were done properly. Really disappointment to have spent what I did to have my lashes tortured. If you do decide to try out this business, be sure to thoroughly inspect your lashes after a student/junior tech does them before leaving. I used to go to a lash place at ka makana alii but decided to give this place a try because it was more affordable. I am SO glad I did. Sabrina and her staff are so nice and she did an amazing job on my lashes. She took her time and made sure it was perfect before I left. She even showed me how to wash and maintain the lashes too. I came in today for lash extensions with Terry. She did an awesome job! It's been a few years since I had them since I used to go to a friend of mine off island. It seemed like no one could ever do them like she did and I gave up. One main reason I stopped was because they always put too much on my eyes and they were uncomfortable. My eyes are small and heavy lashes weigh them down. No matter how many times I would tell a tech to go easy they never listened. Today, Terry listened to what I wanted and even stopped in the beginning to show me what she was doing and if that's what I wanted. They are gorgeous! Length and volume perfect.
