This place has honestly become a quiet addiction for my family. It's almost always quite busy here, especially on weekends and late evenings, so be prepared to wait. They do have a kiosk to order and sometimes a person up front will be nice enough to take the order but some days you are just Ignored. At times you do need the person up front to help you order because you might have questions or not know the name of something thats pictured but doesn't match in the kiosk. Nonethless once you order your items, it takes a while for the order to come through. Fresh mango is definitely way better when in season versus as of now in winter 2026. Their desserts are unique, asian forward and a treat to share with family or friends. Their drinks have been always a hit with us. I would say the ricotta pistachio cake was one that we didnt like as much - we were expecting it to be Italian style cake but it was quite bland and textureless. With only time for a quick pitstop on this visit, I only got a drink this time. I got the Chocolate Cruncher. It reminded me a lot of a chocolate flavored milk that comes with eating a bowl of chocolatey cereal with a little bit of the cereal still in there for a little crunch. Delish! From the outside, it looks inviting, but not like much...but, as soon as you walk in you are greeted with a very adorable and warm atmosphere...so, cute! As you step further in, you are greeted in a nice way, with an added bonus of patience. There are lots of yummy desserts to choose from. This place is darling!! A great dessert shop that's (finally) not too sweet! It's adorable on the inside, with a surprisingly long menu of options! I came on a particularly hot day and it was the perfect way to cool down. They've thought through the whole experience: nice glass bowls for dine-in, served on a tray with a wide metal spoon. Really comfortable padded pleather chairs with backs, booths, and they did a great job decorating the oddly curved window area at the front of the store. The mango was soft, the red beans flavorful, the jelly a perfect texture, and all together it was delightful. A suggestion would be for the Hi Mango team to add those small nonstick stickers to the bottom of the trays as they slide against the tabletops a bit. Needed a refreshing dessert on a hot summer day and Hi Mango hit the spot! We got the M2 Mango Juice, Mango, Jelly, Sago, & Grass Jelly. After having attended a recent Yelp event at Hi Mango, I knew that I wanted to return in the very near future. What's not to love here? The decor has a tropical theme, simple yet effective and inviting. I wouldn't quite call it immersive, however, I definitely am very comfortable here. Even if you didn't know this spot previously, it's pretty obvious that this is a former Wendy's. I have an affection for the place since a friend of mine, now passed, used to be the manager. The decor has obviously changed, though the basic structure still screams out Wendy's. Accessible parking is at the front of Hi Mango right along East 82nd Street. There are two spots. They aren't super well done, though they do meet ADA. There's a ramp right at the front - a bit steep but it works. The double-entry doorway is a leftover from Wendy's. This really is a dessert joint with a strong tropical theme. I mean, c'mon, it's got mango in the name. I wasn't sure I'd be a fan, however, I enjoyed my delights at the Yelp event and I enjoyed my delights here. The menu includes crepes/waffles, hot/cold drinks, waffles (with a twist), sundaes (Try the Mango Delight. Delish.), and pastries. Prices can vary since some of their ingredients fluctuate, however, I find the price points to be reasonable. Employees have been friendly during both visits. I've enjoyed every item I've tried - the Mango Delight, the dirty Oreo (cold drink), Oreo Chocolate Crepe Cake, and the Mango Slush. I'm definitely pleased here. I remember thinking this was such a weird idea. However, it truly works. The crowd tonight is indicative that this place is catching on and it may very well not be Castleton's best kept secret for too long because everyone's finding out about it. The inside is so beautiful with lots of pretty decor and a cute spot in the back that is perf for photos. They have so many selection in drinks and dessert. It makes me so happy that they have durian flavored everything and love love love the fresh mango they use. I came here with my friend, and we were both excited to try this place but were quite disappointed. I had the mango sticky rice and a creamy kiwi refreshing with strawberry jelly. This was my first time trying mango sticky rice, and I expected it to be a lot sweeter. My friend has had it other places before, and she agreed that it wasn't sweet at all. The mangos were good, rice was bland, coconut cream didn't add much, and the ice cream on the side was good. However my drink kept separating and looked like vomit. Service was very fast. My husband and I came, so we chose to dine in. The mango delight was delicious, pleasing to the eye, and came in a cute glass. The coconut mango slushy was good, but after having the mango delight, it was a lot of sweetness at one time. I got really full. My husband got the lychee refresher and let's just say I wish I got that, it was light, tasty, and so refreshing- I love lychee. They told me the difference between the slushy and the refreshers is that the slushy is made with real fruit and the refreshers are made with tea. The "real fruit" part got me, but now I know for next time how much I can handle. And on top of all of that, we ordered a sticky rice to share. My husband has never had it before, he said it was good. I've had it before, and this one was just tolerable. For the quantity, pricing is fair, but I personally wouldn't purchase it again. Finally decided to check this spot out after its grand opening and social media craze. I had initially stopped by on a weekend but quickly resolved to come back during the week as the line and wait was a little long. I got a drink - the mango sago pomelo and a sweet treat: D1, the durian, grass jelly, sago, banana with the banana being replaced by mangos. The drink was pretty good, but it didn't have much pomelo flavor; the mango was very present. For the D1, it was okay; I was a little disappointed that the durian were frozen chunks instead of fresh (or even defrosted).
