Really worn table- needs updating or tablecloths.

Saturday was our first time ever. Pulled in at 11am, pretty empty as they were just opening. Walked in and was surprised by the entry and waterfall. Seated after a few moments. The lunch menu prices were reasonable. Ordered 2 kids meals and 2 adult sandwiches along with 2 sodas for the kids, the adults had water. Came to about $45. I had the chicken teriyaki sandwich with sweet potato fries. The chicken was over cooked. It tasted pretty good-cooked then nuked to reheat for the sandwich. The sweet potato fries looked amazing, but undercooked and soggy. My son's grilled cheese was soggy and the cheese looked pretty gross. See picture of what I mean. The interior, after moving on past the entry was pretty worn and it had been awhile since under the tables had been scraped, ours was loaded with gum. I could get over the decor. But wish the food was freshly cooked and not tasted like reheated nuked food.

Located right off the highway next to the Johnson Creek Outlet, Hi-Way Harry's is hard to miss. The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture explains the quirky yet fascinating decor -- including a waterfall right at the entrance. If you're stopping in for lunch, go for the smashburger. It's got that perfect balance of grease and onion flavor that makes it worth the stop. Enjoy!

The architecture and ambience in here is very cool! We came for lunch on a Saturday and got seated right away. The waitress was very attentive and we had our food very quick. Food was nothing special but very good for what we had.

On Sunday we went to Hi Way Harry's at 11 am, the place wasn't too busy. By 12:45 pm we only received one appetizer (note we only ordered one other dish) so asked for it to go and received a bill for $70 (lobster ravioli and risotto croquettes, and 2 coffees). Waitress didn't check on us, apologize nor comp the meal at all. I went to the restroom and there was no toilet paper either ‍ I used up all my patience for the day and was embarrassed for them. The atmosphere was nice but I don't foresee myself going back there again.

This always a fun place to stop on our way back from Madison. My mom loves this restaurant. We stopped here recently on a Saturday around 5pm. There are so many options to choose from. I narrowed it down to the pesto chicken with strawberries and my mom got the ribs. Both our meals came with soup or salad, choice of potato and veggies. You also get warm bread before your meal and it is so good. The pesto strawberry chicken was amazing. I hope to recreate it at home. My mom enjoyed her ribs. We splurged on dessert. They bring out a tray of options which is always fun to look over. We went with the carrot cake. It's not pictured because we quickly gobbled it up. Our server was attentive and friendly. This restaurant is also really cool with a raised bar area, a water feature, and very nice bathrooms.

Chateaubriand (medium): it was pretty dang blue for medium, and not the best.

Chateaubriand (medium): pretty dang blue for medium, juices filled the plate and the taste was not great. Mashed potatoes were the best. Mixed veggies seemingly from a frozen bag and reheated - we asked for broccoli for our son but the veggies only came mixed. I now understand the Yelp rating. The quality isn't what it was 15 years ago! The landfill on the property over really reeks as you walk in and out. The restaurant itself is just very out of place.

We met my sister & husband here for brunch on a Sunday and really enjoyed the meal. I had the Crab Benedict and the portion was more generous and I really liked the flavor. All the ingredients were fresh and I like the fact that they added fresh spinach. We got there before my Sister arrived and our server greeted us right away and we were able to able to enjoy a Bloody Mary while waiting. And a $3.00 bloody at that!. Fun atmosphere with a cool waterfall as you walk in. We have driven by this place for years and I'm glad we finally stopped. We'll be back again.

They have a nice bar area with tables so we were able to grab a table and drinks while we waited. With the crowd, it took some time to get our drink orders. The dining room is cozy. It is family style, all you can eat. The waitress came over to confirm we wanted everything on the menu and then dishes were brought out to our table within 5 minutes. There were sides (baked beans, coleslaw, etc.), fried chicken, baked fish, fried fish, and fries. Overall I thought everything was ok. We were not a fan of the baked fish and the chicken was hit or miss. The chicken was bone in, some pieces were good and some weren't great. Overall our favorite thing on the table was the fried fish. Cool experience and friendly staff but overall underwhelmed by the food.

The dining area is much smaller and you are literally shimmying and squeezing into spaces so you don't bump others. The ambiance is stunning though, with details on the ceilings, the fans and anywhere else you look. We went on Friday, so the menu was limited. I usually get a tenderloin or filet, but I only had ribeye as an option, so I went with it. Many others in our party got the fish fry. There was a relish tray that came along with that, including beans and potato salads. The fish fry came with bake fish, fried fish, and broasted chicken. But we had four people at our table who ordered it and when they asked for more, they brought two pieces of things at a time, seemed extremely silly. Our waitress was extremely hard to hear, as it was so loud in the dining room and she was always walking away from us. The overall experience was okay, but not extremely memorable.

We were making eye contact for 15 minutes while waiting and were 3 feet away. The notice came within one minute of when he asked if I got it). 7:48 finally a server came and we ordered our food 8:00 salads finally arrived 8:02 butter was delivered 8:13 bread was delivered (noted that several new tables of diners who arrived after we did were given bread and butter immediately upon being seated) Water was empty but was never refilled. Salad and bread plates, dirty flatware and empty butter/salad dressing containers were all still sitting on the table after we finished our entrees. Server was assigned to 7 tables or more and one of those had 10 diners. She was slammed. Not really her fault. She's not likely cooking. Many new diners were seated after we ordered, then ate, paid their check and left before we even got our food. The restaurant needs to work on timing of entrees. The neighboring table ordered steaks and seafood. One man finished his steak before his lobster came. The server helper nearly dropped it on the floor. Luckily it flipped over and landed back on the plate. The woman then said she was still missing her scallops. There's clearly an organization issue with the kitchen staff. Entrees finally arrived at 8:34. Lo and behold, the server helper kept delivering food to tables to assist our server. Ranch ordered with the onion rings was missing. Luckily we saved some from the salad. Those were pretty good. Steak was a bit overcooked, and slightly dry/grainy. Salmon and green beans were good. We ate and left within 10 minutes of getting our food. We were just that tired and hungry. We just wanted to get out of there after being there almost two hours, mostly waiting. It's also nearly impossible to get a signal and there's no public WiFi. Asked to speak to the manager was when we paid our check. We were told she was "floating all over the place" so we didn't get an opportunity to speak to her without waiting again and that wasn't an option; the only choice was to leave this review. Bottom line: The food was pretty good, but we didn't order anything special or fancy and we did make a reservation and showed up on time. It shouldn't take two hours for a basic meal. It just isn't worth the painfully long wait time and inconsistent service. This place could be great if they could work out the timing and service issues. If things got to be streamlined and service was smooth and timely, this could be a 4-5 Star place. It's only been there a month or so. It might be best to wait a while to try it.
