That is the only…read moreservice I have seen him in operation on as my family had the misfortune of having him placed on our case. When asked, he will tell you that he has not had success with reunifying any parent and child except for one time 10 years ago. So why is he sitting as a "reunification therapist" on my case and not recusing himself? One has to investigate this further. Does he just want the insurance money? Is someone else paying him? He is not a specialist in parental alienation and should be banned from practicing in this area. Since he is obviously not a specialist in parental alienation, or in kids that are raised to not visit the other parent, he does far more harm than good by sitting in a position to counsel a child that has been alienated. He has zero understanding of the real issues at hand, put forth zero solutions and made more of a mess of the situation than it was when our family first starting to see him. He provides highly inaccurate information to the court. He doesn't get the facts right. Sessions with him are him spending far more time talking about his own life stories than hearing out my families issues which he was collecting insurance money for. I found him grossly biased against women and often talking problematically about his own wife that divorced him against his wishes and about his own all-consuming belief in Catholicism. One has to wonder whether he has issues and biases against women that have asked for divorce like myself. He certainly "counsels" and gives awful opinions hurting women as if he does have those type of biases. I find him disturbing to work with. I would not call his work "counseling". I would call it selling snake oil medicine and him offering "abuse by proxy for hire" for abusive ex husbands to alienate their ex spouses with his services. He also has memory issues. He will state his out-of-line opinions but then, upon query, not even be able to state why he had formed that opinion or assessment in the first place. He just says "I can't remember why I said that". Which is out-right scary that he is operating like this. One time my daughter who loves animals and pets went to see him so he could understand the whole family supposedly, and within minutes he started talking about his cat killing his bird when he was younger and leaving a mess of dead bird parts all over his room. My daughter was 11 years old and was scared of him after that asking me if he was a vampire because he was talking like that in a dark room with his white hair and white face. Dr. O'Callaghan is not fit to offer the services of reunification therapy. He has done far more harm than good to my case, my children and myself. He bills to the insurance company under some obscure diagnosis of my son and yet won't tell me what my alienated son's diagnosis is. Therapists like him are nothing but frauds. Beware!
