"Soba" noodles with steak and shrimp & "soba"noodles with chicken.
    Mista W.

Ordered Soba noodles. One steak and shrimp and the other chicken. First off the proteins were very good, but not much of it. Tons of ramen noodles that obviously came out of a bag like Top Ramen. Additionally, the noodles were over-cooked and mushy. Very disappointing! I would recommend driving over to Miami Blvd first New Japan. Clean and cute. Not fancy but the noodles are actually soba noodles and they give you lots of meat. I happened to be in the Briarcreek area so I thought I'd try it out. I should've checked the reviews.

Ambiance: 1 Food: 4 Service: 3 I went for the first time. Order at window, pick up food when they call your number. I got the hibachi chicken. Lots of veggies and rice. Chicken was good. It's not got a lot of flavor but with the side sauce it's good. They do have fresh brewed iced tea and a soft drink machine, so free refills! Plastic utensils and styrofoam containers even dining in. I'd say it's a standard fast food hibachi restaurant. The prices are a little higher than I expected but that might be everywhere now. $26 for 2 hibachi's and drinks. I'd go back when I'm craving hibachi and want it fast.

For takeout hibachi it was pretty good. Large servings, hot and ready very quickly. The soba noodles were ok.

I can understand that we are going through a pandemic and that restaurants have raised their prices to adjust for losses took during pandemic but when u buy a hibachi steak and shrimp and look more like a vegetable plate something is wrong with that. If you are raising prices give the same amount of food in the plate prior pandemic. If you gonna give smaller than bite size pieces I can't no longer support your restaurant. When I purchase something I have a expectation for it to be what you said it will be on menu. Food was not that good this time around so I will be taken my business else where I can't appreciate the lil bitty chunks of steak you serve.

So I have to start with...this isn't the bestttttt hibachi. Butttt for the price it was some dang good hibachi! We both got chicken and shrimp with an egg roll. We ordered carry out and you got to get your own sauce to take home, so you get to decide how much sauce, which I love!! The food was a little bland, but since you get to get as much sauce as you want, I thought it was great! The inside was a little bleh. I'd definitely take it as carry out!! The eggroll was fine! Nothing great but it wasn't bad!! Overall, I'd for sure order it again!!! Check it out.

First time ordering. Lacked flavor in hibachi and soups. Meat portions were also small.

Great start to loving Japanese dishes! My husband and I made a 7:45 pm reservation on a Saturday,…read moreand sat in the main dining room. Little light tapers stood in the middle of the table. Not too bright nor dim. Our waiter, Dylan, really treated us well. Before we ordered anything, Dylan gave us each a very, warm terry-cloth wash cloth for our face and hands. Nice touch. We just had water to drink, but that's okay. My husband's entree was very spicy! We began with the Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura. The shrimp was quite fresh, and the flavor gave a great mouthful of taste and some oiliness (but, not dripping). Flavor! Also, we ordered Negimaki, which are grilled beef-wrapped scallions with teriyaki sauce. One bite is the way to eat those. Love the chopsticks, too. We were each served Miso Soup and two small salads (with ginger dressing). Sure did like that (the soup had good flavor, but was a bit salty for our tastes.) My entree was Teriyaki. I am not familiar with a lot of Japanese dishes, but I do know this flavor. I ordered the Steak. This came with stir fried vegetables with a good flavor of cabbage. I liked those. White rice completed my dish. My husband ordered the Spicy Seafood Udon. This proved to be more spicy than it appeared. This dish included vegetables, udon noodles, shrimp, hokkaido scallops, squid, green mussels, in a savory & spicy garlic butter sauce. We had food leftover, so we got some containers and packed them for home. We will come back here, and perhaps eat outside (sure, the view is of a parking lot), but the high tables and the torchieres give it a nice atmosphere - perhaps as the weather turns cooler, we will enjoy being outside. We spent over $100 without alcohol. Prepare for that, but, it's worth the drive and it's worth your time and money.

I will start off by saying that I am giving this place two stars because of the very poor service. We ordered the following items: - Miso Soup - Suimono Soup - Spiral Ecstasy Roll - Regular Sashimi (16 pieces) We got our roll and sashimi but never got our soup even though we saw multiple orders of soup coming out. We were almost done with our food and then the Suimono soup came out. We had to flag down our server multiple times since he never bothered to check in with us. We had to ask multiple times for simple things like napkins and ginger. We finally got our check and told our server that we never got the Miso Soup and sent the other back since we didn't to gave soup after our meal was done. He almost acted as if he was doing as a favor by taking it off our check. We paid and left. The food was delicious. This was one of the best rolls Ive had. The sashimi platter was also good. We realized after getting home that our platter was supposed to come with 16 pieces of Sashimi and they only gave us 12. I will go back to eat there but they definitely need to improve their service!!

Walking in the restaurant feels modern, upscale, sleek, intimate, and trendy. Since we arrived for lunch during the week they were running a few lunch specials. I ordered the sushi combo (6 pieces of nigiri and a Sushi Mon hand roll) with a miso soup. The miso soup was a pleasant surprise and was delicious quite filling as it contained cabbage, salmon, and mushrooms. The 6 pieces Nigiri was also well balanced and had a good selection of sushi (amberjack, salmon belly, cooked shrimp, etc.). The Sushi Mon hand roll was good but had a bit of heat to it. Overall, visiting Sushi Mon for lunch was a good experience and I'd likely return if I'm in the area

We ended up talking about our desire to take a trip to Japan, and he recommended some activities and places we should check out while we're there. He was genuinely a pleasure to speak with and made the experience feel even more personal. The waitstaff was also incredibly kind and helpful. They took the time to explain the different menu items, kept our drinks and complimentary green tea filled, and even made sure my youngest had all the utensils he needed to comfortably enjoy his meal. Now, onto the food--which was absolutely amazing! My husband, my oldest, and I ordered the Shijiri Signature, while my youngest got the Hashi Donburi. Both came with soup, salad, and rice. The house-made wasabi was surprisingly delicious and definitely worth trying. We also ordered the uni and wagyu. Every piece of fish tasted incredibly fresh and clean. The presentation was simple yet beautiful, and the portions were surprisingly filling. My personal favorites were the toro and salmon. Both were so buttery and tender that they practically melted in your mouth. There were a few other cuts of fish that were equally decadent, but unfortunately, I don't remember all of their names. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly, which I really appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves sashimi, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes--or even to someone who simply wants to step outside their comfort zone and try something new and delicious. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back!
