Great hibachi option in West Ashley! Placing our online order was very easy and I liked that they will let you do various add ons. Parking is easy in their lot as well. Pick up was quick and they do have a few booths if you decide to dine in. The hibachi was nicely prepared - a bit basic (not bland but just not a ton of extras) but really tasty and easy to spice up with the white sauce and some soy. The dumplings were tasty as well. I was nearby and had a craving for hibachi. Saw this had a high rating so I placed an online order. I ordered the fried dumplings appetizer and the steak and shrimp lunch hibachi with rice and extra vegetables (+$1.50). The fried dumplings were more gyoza style than dumplings but they were average tasting. You get six in an order. The steak and shrimp hibachi came with a white sauce that was terrible. It had a watery consistency which really was unappetizing. I've had hibachi before at other places and I've never had the white sauce be watery especially since it's supposed to be Mayo based. I would not recommend this sauce at all. I'm glad that I only drizzled a little bit onto my food to taste it. I ended up using the sauce that came with the dumplings instead of the white sauce. I liked the rice I thought it was cooked perfectly and it had a good flavor. I ordered the steak medium rare and it definitely was more well done. Like others have said, the steak does cook because the food is hot in the takeout container but they also stapled the container shut so I don't really know of ordering it. rare would make it less cooked by the time you got home or not. The steak was pretty easy to eat. I took a picture after I had already dug in, but essentially the top part of the box was full of zucchini and broccoli, and a couple mushrooms. I personally would not pay for extra vegetables in the future, because it didn't seem noticeable to me. If anything, I would want less rice and more veggies. The veggies were all soft. I would say the broccoli was my favorite. The zucchini was over cooked and mushy. The shrimp was definitely not something I would recommend. You could tell it wasn't fresh shrimp because it tasted fishy. Now I know some people would say shrimp is a fish so of course it's going to taste fishy but fresh shrimp does not taste fishy and this definitely tasted fishy. To future customers, steer clear of the shrimp and order the steak. The service was very quick. Originally online it said my food would not be ready for 20 to 30 minutes but I got to the restaurant in 15 minutes and my food was already ready. This definitely seemed like a place that is meant for takeout only. In my opinion, there's nothing special about this place. Do you get big portions? Yes. But if the food isn't great tasting, why do you want more of it? read more

I ordered the hibachi shrimp lunch and my husband had the hibachi chicken and steak lunch, along with an order of steamed dumplings. The online ordering process through BeyondMenu was incredibly easy, and an employee called me to verify my order and pickup time. Pickup was COVID-19 safe, with a window at the door and a tent- much needed with all the rain we've had lately. The food was delicious, and the lunch portions were large enough for leftovers. One order of white sauce comes with your lunch entrée, but we ordered two more on the side (25 cents each) to be safe, and we're glad we did. My husband said his chicken was tender, and the steak was cooked exactly as he requested (medium). My shrimp and veggies were flavorful and fresh. This is my go to for a quick, inexpensive meal! It is equivalent to going to a hibachi restaurant. This is take-out only place. The meal is enough to last for two meals! I always have leftovers. I would order the steak a temperature under what you want. Since it is takeout and sitting in the box, I think it cooks a little more on the way home. For example, I order Medium Rare for Medium steak. The spring rolls are my favorite. Crab Rangoon are good. read more

I've been here before and it's been okay but today I got the steak bowl and supposed to get fried wontons. Instead I got the bowl with gummy rice and thick sauce that did not taste right. And instead of wontons I got Rangoons that had a super sweet syrup. I would have been okay with the Rangoons if they wasn't sweet. This was my 1st ever time ordering at Hibachi Hut and it won't be my last!!! This is really a hidden gem of a restaurant! I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi dinner minus the rice with extra vegetables. It's always a gamble when you order steak as you never know if it's going to cooked to your liking and tender enough to chew. This steak not only was perfectly cooked but also super tender. The shrimp were plentiful and of good size, and there were plenty of veggies to make it a complete meal. The entire meal was seasoned perfectly, not overly sauced or salty. I am sure that it's even better once we are able to eat it inside the restaurant, but was really appreciative of their window setup and the order was ready within minutes. I don't know they had hibachi to go until now. This is bfast food restaurant but what yo place looks identical to a chines fast food restaurant from both the outside and I inside. The only difference was the place was much cleaner. We ordered a shrimp bowl which turned out wonderful and the portion was right on for the price. Be careful because if you order the bowl and not the main entrée you won't receive vegetables with it. After tasting the food I was impressed that it was exactly like going to hibachi restaurant. Great place to get quick hibachi takeout. Once I called in my order, they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I ordered the chicken and steak entree as well as a steak and shrimp. I asked for the steak to be medium rare but it was probably closer to medium or well, not a big deal because the pieces were small and tasted great anyway. Vegetables were a mix of zucchini, onion and mushroom and rice was plentiful. The shrimp was really delicious and they were a good size. They give you 1 small container of white sauce per entree, I ordered an extra for each but might get 2 extra in the future since they give you so much rice. read more

The food was great. We had hibachi chicken and hibachi shrimp. The white sauce tastes different than any other white sauce we have had. I don't know if that is how they do it or if it was a mistake but it had a strong ginger (or something) taste and my wife went as far to say it tasted like cleaner. I love Hibachi Hut so much, I weep daily since I moved to the other side of town. I've been to this restaurant or gotten takeout enough times over multiple years to put a separate "Hibachi Hut" category in my personal food pyramid. It's absolutely amazing every time. I've always seen everything there cooked fresh, right then and there on the grill and is good quality. If you want to torture yourself with hunger, it's easily visible behind the counter, but awesome to watch. The restaurant is also so incredibly well taken care of and clean, I feel like any vertical surface could be used by displaced medical staff in case of an emergency for a impromptu lifesaving surgery. It's Miyabi's quality hibachi at half the price. This place truly epitomizes: "friendly people serving fantastic food every day." read more

We recently discovered this place much to our delight. The food is fantastic. At least what I have tried so far. The egg rolls are not my favorite. I love egg rolls but these have a strange taste to them that I can't place. We have to ask for extra sauce or it is basically sauceless. Which is okay, we just make sure to ask for extra. The one major complaint that I have is we have a five year old at home with a lot of food allergies. We like to eat our take out at home which is why it is called takeout. When ordering his very small kids meal as he does not eat much, they were actually refusing to let me order his meal to go. She kept insisting no he eat kid meal in store. I said lady, I just ordered four large adult meals costing almost 50 bucks and you are telling me I can't order a child's meal with no sauce and white rice to go? They eventually relented as I was getting ready to cancel the entire order and not eat there again. They still charged me full price for his meal and refused to give me the drink that goes with it. I said whatever as he can't have soda anyway. Then they placed a fried wonton in his meal after I told them he has wheat allergies. Not sure what is in those wontons but we had to scoop the rice from under it and throw it away just in case. Other than the stupid rule of no child meals taken out of the store, the place is great. I guess they don't want adults trying to partake of a kids meal. They should not be so controlling. Some adults are tiny and don't eat much and if they want a child size meal they should be able to order it. McDonalds does not care if an adult orders them self a kids meal. If you like white sauce make sure to get an extra or 2...because theirs is phenomenal and the food is going to need it. Everything was cooked well but it didn't seem to have much flavor. I got the steak lunch and the steak was cooked right so it was tender, the rice was nice and sticky and the broccoli and other veggies were well done also. It was just that if it wasn't for the savior of their delicious white sauce the meal would've felt pretty plain. I have no complaints for the price...you get plenty of food so that I didn't leave needing any more. The place is in a new strip mall so it is nice, new and clean. Service was fine even though they were training a new girl up front...had no issues and the food did not take long at all. Honestly one of my favorite hole in the wall restaurants. We pretty much always take it to go but have eaten at the store too. Very clean restaurant. Very friendly staff. Very flavorable food.
