The main drinking space isn't the biggest, but noticeably more lush than others you will find in Beechworth. Good variety of brews on tap - from Guinness to the loaves brews - and nice staff that often appear to be running on adrenaline all night. Strangest thing about this place is the restaurant menu. Amazing pieces available - caramalised onion tarts and beetroot salad is a winner - yet the pub staple, The Parma!, is no where to be seen. The meals came out in about 30 min so not bad but one had to be sent back as it was under cooked and the staff were more than happy to return it and showed genuine remorse and threw in a desert to the person involved. I had a typical chicken Parmy this was not bad just pub standard and came with chip and a nice light salad and acidic dressing that was good. My partner had pork belly and beetroot purée with rocket apple and fennel salad. It was nice also the pork was soft and gelatinous. The hotel is a little long in the the tooth but furnishing is reasonably new and rooms have been painted recently. The Hotel is located opposite the SS&A club so a short walk to reasonably priced food although the Hotel's own restaurant is where we started each day with a fantastic breakfast. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
