5 Stars for my new favorite plant shop (inside a lawn & pest control shop)…read more You've probably heard of Oviedo Plants from the way they blew up on social media over the past couple of years, but this was the first time I had the chance to go there. I was surprised to see it was inside another shop, and that it didn't have its own Yelp page. The moment I walked in I was immediately blown away by the extraordinary, curated selection of plants. Though they may not have room for hundreds of plants, they make up for it in the curation. We're talking draw-dropping monsters albo's at first sight. Then you see the sale rack and you end up leaving with far more new plants than you imagined. The staff is next level, too. Rochelle helped us. Her sister is the owner, but she does much of the buying and curation. She was able to explain to us how to care for each plant, and it turned out we got there a day after she brought a bunch of new babies in. Timmy helped check us out and set us up with boxes so packing them in the car was a breeze. It felt like a family business and one that I'm more than happy to support. A few weeks later, the plants are thriving and I am thrilled to have found this little hidden gem. Do yourself a favor!

I was particularly impressed by the two orders of the Philodendron Atabapoense. They were both ~17" tall with Lots of leaves. I'm pretty certain that each had a 12" leaf in a 4" pot. Unreal In addition the Stunning healthy plants, I was just as impressed by the care that went into wrapping & packaging. It was more than a consumer would ever expect. I order many plants online & either plants were crushed, a leaf/stem broken, an over-abundance of soil in the box (which makes it very messy); or.. you need a battle axe to unwrap the plant. But not this shop. Every step of packaging was handled with care. I was incredibly impressed. Corrugated cardboard protected the plant, a white grow bag material covered each individually, and fluffy cotton wrapped around the soil. Not only were the plants Large & Healthy, beautifully wrapped (by Taylor - Thank Youuuu!!!) Now let's talk about Leveling Up the game. I was surprised to see another Gift- a Story on your individual plant via a QR code! What?! . Can we talk about "Attention to Detail & elevating the Experience?". One Drosera even had thread - thin flower spikes, which are intact. I must note that some of their pottery pieces were a bit STEEP in price, but the quality was top-tier. So, it is understandable why it was pricey. As for the plant offerings, they had a great selection. They didn't necessarily have what my mom was looking for at the time to add to her garden, but it was great to see what they did offer. Price points were also super solid (very affordable). The staff was kind and very helpful. If you haven't been to this local garden center (now in Sanford), then please visit them.

We were very impressed with the time & special attention we received from everyone working at this nursery. They have a large selection of palms and tropical plants including some very rare varieties that you wont commonly find at other nurseries. If you are an avid collector or just want to add some color to your landscape, do yourself a favor and pay Ganz nursery a visit. From the moment you walk in Jeni greets you with a smile and is there through every step of selecting through all the beauty that is offered here. The store is so aesthetically pleasing and so welcoming. I was actually here for a terracotta pot painting event celebrating @anita.tips 100k. The place made a great canvas for a stunning event (not sure if usually offered by Jeni, please inquire directly) I will sure be back to get me a plant, or a few since I saw so many that I already had on my list.
