We found this wonderful coffee-and-doughnut place in central Portsmouth when in town to visit the Historic Dockyard. We had been in the mood for both coffee and doughnuts, after not having either for some time, and our search brought us here. We also were interested in seeing more of the city so this worked out well, since it is near the Guildhall and more.
It is a neat place with interesting but comfortable decor. Staff were friendly. The coffee and the doughnuts were all excellent. They have a range of coffees and we also had excellent cappuccinos.
Doughnuts were excellent and they have a range of different and inventive types, all of which were well executed with a nice fried character and also a great balance of flavours. We remember the Biscoff doughnut especially but between us we had a couple more styles, one with chocolate and custard similar to a Boston cream pie or Bismark, but we don't remember what it was called. read more
