On occasion, I have been to a few businesses where the place really doesn't look like it's up to much, but then you meet the people that work there and one can start to see why it's a great business. This is one of those places. I'm on a really tight budget, so every dollar I save is beneficial for me and my kids. This makes recycling a wise choice for me. Plus, it's just good for the environment too. I've been to this recycling center several times, and each visit has been a good experience for me. Although most of the recycling items I bring here are plastic containers, I also see other customers bringing large quantities of glass bottles and aluminum cans. They have a pretty simple process to recycle your items here: grab several of the large bins and fill them with your recycling items from your car, drag the bins over and get all your recycling items weighed, and the best part - get cash! Now, here's what differentiates this business from others: it's the people, who are friendly and honest. I've been to a few other recycling centers where they try to cheat you out of cash here and there, usually based on their skeptical weighing practices. Unlike other places, the people I have dealt with here are honest, which is really refreshing. The young lady that usually manages the weighing and cash distribution here is very friendly and honest. Also, on one occasion I came on a particularly windy day and this one poor customer was frustrated to see a large portion of his recycling items blowing away out of his car. When this happened, I saw the gentleman that works here (in one of my photos) quickly running around trying to gather up all of this customer's recycling items for him. I just watched this and thought to myself "now, that's a man with a great work ethic, who is also considerate for his customers." If I owned this business, these are the kind of people I would want to have on my team. If you don't recycle, you should. And, if you do recycle and live nearby, you should bring your recycling here.

Finally i went about a month ago we always used to sort out our stuff there on this particular day he happened to be extremely rude and proceeded to tell us that there was no sorting there. He said i had to go home and sort them out or to go to the Sierra hwy recycling center he said they don't care over there, he also told me look at the sign "it's been hanging there 30 years" yeah what sign. He didn't even let us in to see this so called sign. We always sorted our cans there no problems on this particular day he must have had issues i would not recommend this place to the devil himself please do go to the one on sierra hwy they are much more friendly, it's just difficult to get in or out if you have a big truck.

If you ever have a billing issue or any kind of customer service questions forget it! To get anyone pick up the phone or answer an email is literally an act of Congress. You may think I'm kidding but I have left literally 20+ messages and numerous emails. Once in a blue moon someone answers and they promise to fix my ongoing billing issue. I even had to stop the guy dumping my trash to actually call Oliver. I was promised almost a month ago it would be corrected. Next billing cycle only part of the issue was resolved. Numerous calls and emails again with no answer or callback. Even if I am maybe mistaken about the billing issue they won't even call and explain why. I have never had a company neglect their customers so bad with their customer service. I stay with them because they are a small company with pretty good prices and my billing issue isn't astronomical amounts of money but even if I wanted to drop service I wouldn't be able to get ahold of anyone to cancel.

Then asking us to give them a new check in a personal name not the business. Then charging us late fees because they suddenly couldn't take a check in the business name. When we asked to get the check we sent them that was made out to the business back they agreed then refused to. We refused to supply them with a new check without the old check back. We tried reaching them for weeks without getting any response. It was only when we canceled the service by email that we got a cryptic email from them acknowledging cancellation but no mention of getting a new check or when they would pick up the trash cans. Then we suddenly get emails with crazy amounts of money we owe. Late fees, other weird fees totaling $450 extra! When we asked about it no response. Next email said they would put a lien on our house. All this because of their shady request to get a new check in a personal name not the business. No attempt to contact us, return the check, or get new checks. Avoid at all costs! Note: the business doesn't address in its response them not cashing the check we sent them or why they refused to return the check, or return our calls. Clearly we paid to the business and they chose not to accept payment in the business name. A scam to try and collect more fees. It won't work with us.Shady. Avoid.
