I had inherited my grandpas Rolex, and it was in rough shape and wasn't keeping time. I did a lot of research of local watch repair shops around the dallas area and after calling other places I decided to come to High Grade Watch as they specialize in Rolex and do their repairs IN HOUSE unlike others where they send it out. When I walked in through the double security door, I thought to myself that this place is legit and secure. When I walked in I was greeted by Hutch. Hutch is actually the master watchmaker there. I showed him my Rolex and told him it's not running well, he gladly took the watch to take a look at it, within 5 minutes he came back saying that all it needs is a full service, that's what I was hoping. Hutch told me it would take him about a week to complete the watch and have it running like a champ. I had dropped off the watch on a Monday, and on Friday called me and told me that my watch will be ready on Monday. So then Monday, it had been exactly a week, I went to pickup my Rolex and when Hutch brought it out for me I was amazed, it was looking like a brand new watch in the showcase ready to be sold. He had done an excellent job with the polishing! He then explained what was done to the watch and what had to be changed. I feel that he was very honest on what had to be switched out(which were gaskets) and what wasn't a big deal. The total price he gave me was very fair compared to the other shops around that I had contacted and I doubt they would have done a better job than Hutch the Master Watchmaker.The way he explained everything to me, I just got the feeling that he's being very honest with me and was answering every question I had. He's been doing this for so long that no research online can even reach the amount of knowledge he has for this was and hey, I know where I'm coming next time! Harry was very helpful and friendly. I brought in my vintage gold Tudor Oyster Prince Big Rose to have it serviced and the crown repaired/cleaned up for a better screw-down. I was called and given an estimate for the repair, a day after I had brought it in. $325 for the service, as advertised on their website, and an additional $100 for parts/labor on the crown. The estimated turnaround time was under two weeks, and they had it done and ready within a week. Hutch was the one to service my timepiece, and although I didn't get to meet him, I can tell that he took care of my vintage piece very well. They worked on my Tag Heuer Aquaracer. I had dropped it and it had stopped working, as well as having hardware loose under the bezel. They fixed it and it works beautifully. I have an Omega seamaster co-axial automatic that stopped winding. It had unfortunately just escaped its warranty window with Omega, and with this being my every-day watch I wanted to take it someplace local. I prefer to have someone I can talk to about the watch, that can tell me what I might be doing wrong, or what more I can do to maintain it. Shipping off the watch to Washington wasn't really an option for me in that regard, plus who knows how long it would be before I got it back. The only bonus there would be the additional 2 year warranty from Omega. I elected to take a risk and go with High Grade watch after reading reviews on here and on the BBB site (which they have an A+ rating). The construction on 365 kind of makes it a pain to get there if coming from the North leg of the DNT, but it was OK and I was able to find it just fine. Walking in they right away examined the watch in hopes that it would be something easy to see and correct. The Watchsmith didn't see anything overtly wrong, lauded how well the watch was kept, and took down my information and promised me a call within the week, which was nice considering it was the holiday. Sure enough they called me as expected and let me know the main spring needed to be replaced. Give me a good quote and an estimated time to complete. I elected to have them also do cleaning and maintenance to the watch. They called me earlier than expected to state it was completed. While there they let me know about a few of the things I was probably doing wrong that may or may not have contributed to the issue and offered advice to ensure I wouldn't have to see them again any time soon for repairs on my timepiece. They also polished up the band, I have no idea what they did to polish the clasp, as I am sure anyone who has owned a Seamaster can attend, the clasp gets dinged up quick but whatever they did left it with a slight brushed finish and it has yet to show any dings, even though daily wear and use. I waited about a month before writing this review to ensure everything was still working great and it is. MY watch now works like brand new, the movement is as smooth as ever and it looks top notch, practically brand new. I have to say the service, knowledge and expertise of these folks really put me at ease. Its nice to know if I have issues there is someone close that i can trust and speak to face to face in regards to my timepieces. read more

I wish i could give them 4.5 stars. People are friendly, enjoyable to talk to, and care to provide good customer service. I brought 3 watches in for batteries and their light clean/polish. The prices may be a tad high but I cant really compare since its been so long since I had servicing on my watches and never 3 at once. Also their service and quick turn around time is worth the money. They turned 3 watches around in about 3 days and one watch needed a minor repair. The only knock on these guys I have is that their buildings doors lock at 5pm so if you arrive after you cant get in tje building unless you call them to let you in. Just be aware of this and have their number handy if arriving after 5pm since they close at 6pm. I'll be going back for sure :-) read more

I took my Carrera to High Grade watch repair in September of 2013 and by January of 2015 the watch needed repairs again. Perhaps this is normal, but it seemed a little peculiar that the watch's repair only lasted 5 months past the warranty date. Nothing horribly wrong with this dealer, although if I pay 300 dollars for a repair on a 2500 dollar watch i expect it to last longer than a year and a half. read more

I had a few dealings with HGW recently and I was happy with both of the services. My Rolex Submariner stopped winding and I was going to Dallas RSC to have it fixed. I heard stories about RSC that though the service is top notch, the high cost also comes with it. Well, thank goodness a buddy of mine told me about HGW and to give them a shot I explained to them what happened to my watch and asked them to give me an estimate on the cost. The cost was much lower that what RSC would have charged and I told them to fix it. A week went by, they called and told me that it was ready. My Sub was fixed and they also polished the bracelet for me. It's been almost a month now and it's still keeping the time accurately. My second transaction with them was I asked to polish the lugs on my Rolex DJ. That one also came out nicely and it was as I expected to be. Since I was a customer, they kept the price low for me for the polish. Thank you guys for your diligent and excellent work.
