Pastor Scott, who has been there for years, and Pastor Mike who is pretty new, are both wonderful Preachers of The Word. CenterPoint has it all in a very comfortable setting. Worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and mission. I regularly attend the services and feel Gods greatness and love through the music and sermons, and have met many awesome people through going there. Thank you CenterPoint for being there for me. We arrived 10 minutes early and helped the priest, Father John Norman, prepare the center for Mass by setting out chairs and other small tasks. Just a few minutes before 5:00 pm people arrived from out of nowhere it seemed. Mass was lovely. The 50 or so Mass goers where mostly travelers and where delightful. Mass was short because there were no hymns sung (no choir). About 40 minutes as I recall. The center has nice windows facing the snow covered Alta Ski Resort and makes a perfect place for worship. After Mass try eating dinner at the Shallow Shaft. I will come here for Mass any Sunday I ski at Alta.

Its an empty field where they are testing the ground water levels, which are high, and which they will need to pump out a disgusting amount - dewater - into a nearby stream, to even build it! The community is fighting hard against it. The proposal is for it to be 88,000 square feet in size and 210' on the one steeple and 145' on the other. Its absurd and in the wrong place. Its a RA-1 zone, which has a height restriction of 35', its in the view shed of Mt. Timpanogos of thousands of people, and they plan to up-light it after maneuvering the county council members into passing a new lighting code for the ENTIRE county. Terrible neighbors. Take this DOWN off your map!!
