My father and I were invited to attend a family Christmas holiday party at the High Ridge VFW Hall, and it was a wonderful experience. The GPS brought us there without any issues, and the hall is easy to spot from the roadway, with a large cement and gravel parking lot available. The hall itself is a clean, classic VFW space, simply yet tastefully decorated in a way that immediately makes you feel welcome. After parking, we made our way inside and were warmly greeted by two friendly bartenders. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with plenty of tables and a spacious bar that makes it easy to find a comfortable spot. There is also an outdoor area, as well as a larger banquet room located to the left. Our celebration was held in the banquet area, which was beautifully decorated with balloons, gifts, and festive touches that truly brought the Christmas spirit to life. Surrounded by family, food, and cheerful décor, it was a lovely setting for a holiday gathering. The VFW provided the tables and chairs and was very helpful in assisting guests with drinks throughout the event. I enjoyed a delicious Bloody Mary and appreciated that the bar accepts both credit cards and cash. Since this was a private event, the food was brought in by the family, but the venue accommodated everything seamlessly.
