Me and my husband stayed here for 2 months (end of 2018) and we were so frustrated with them from day 1, because they gave us the move in date, and we had to give a 30 day notice at the property we were at prior, however, only days before we were suppose to be out of our place, we get a call from highgrove saying that they were having to replace the vinyl flooring and we were going to have to wait longer. Me and my husband were so upset and instantly regretted choosing highgrove. We had to put our stuff in storage and had no where to go so we had to stay in a hotel which was an expensive week to have to wait for them to be done. The lack of communication was poor from day 1. We move in and the place was filthy! Dust all over the floor, counters and sink from whatever renovation they were doing. There was leafs on the floor, as if the unit had been sitting for months. We had to clean it ourselves. We ended up finding spider webs in our sons bedroom closet (still no sign of them cleaning). Then we found a huge hole in our walk in closet and there was stuff coming out of it, we call maintenance and it took them days to come patch it up. The walls were paper thin and we could hear our upstairs neighbors vibration of his phone it was nuts. We had no good nights sleep. Then me and my husband move out only 2 months in, and a year later, were trying to apply at a new property and we were told that we weren't accepted because we had a debt from highgrove of $14,200 in collections! This debt was sitting in our credit and we had no knowledge of this. Again their lack of communication that we saw since day 1, made sense why they wouldn't reach out and discuss this. We would of disputed this a long time ago. So my husband went to the office to discuss this and ask for a move out ledger, and one of the leasing consultatnts, Holly or Heidi, tells him "Oh I was just reviewing your move out ledger and it looks like the calculations are wrong and I'll have my manager update the calculations as soon as possible" Really? How were you just NOW looking at the ledger a whole year later? They are wrong for this! This wasn't a miscalculation of hundreds, but THOUSANDS!! This is not ok to do this to people! This ledger also charged us for a cleaning fee? What cleaning do you do? CLEARLY they dont because of what I had to clean upon move in. We are clean people and we left that place ready for the next person. We were also charged $300 worth of paint! How is that even possible? We were only there 2 months and only had our TV mount up, which we patched by the way! Also we were charged for keys when we returned all keys. We are so upset that they would do this to people! This has affected our lives! THIS DEBT IS NOT REAL because of a "miscalculation"? So unprofessional! Please be cautious of what you're getting yourself into before moving in. We are not the only ones they have done this to. I just saw a review from a month ago on highgrove who also went through the same thing. Be prepared and have proof of everything. I've lived here for a year now it and it has been a horrible experience.lets just start off with saying at first glance it looks like a very nice complex.Then night time comes around and there's homeless people walking through the complex cutting through bushes and buildings.In the time that I have lived here both of my cars have been broken into and gonna through as well as a couple of my close neighbors in the Q buildings.Also one of my cars parked on the street during there re paving of the complex which was a complete nightmare,was spray painted on and windows busted out.Then to some things up im just returning from a trip from out of state,where I had just lost my grandmother.There was a paper on my door to fill out to let the complex know when I was moving out,which Robert (asst)talked to my fiancé already and knew we were leaving at the end of the month jan 31 2015.So the last day to turn the paper was on Sunday which there clearly CLOSED.I returned sat night from my trip out of town,it was late thought it would be no big deal since my fiancé talked to Robert already.Boy was I wrong I've lived here for a year and they have never been open on Sunday.Amanda the manager said there were open that Sunday and weren't obligated to let us know!!!!!!WOW after I explained why I couldn't take it the previous day's she again replied she wasn't obligated to let us or any of the residents know.Ive never been late one time never had one complaint from any of my neighbors,I asked her who my lawyer would need to speak to and she blew up on me.She said I owe for feb now after I already have another apt.Its a little upsetting ,I just thinks it's sad given my current circumstances.plz people beware!!!!besides the break ins and homeless people walking around at night it was pretty cozy!!!beware!! read more

Be careful what you leave on you're patio if you're on the bottom floor because during the night people are stealing. My husband left his shoes outside. The next morning he noticed that his shoes were gone and that the person who stole them took their shoes off and left their shoes instead. We had a propane tank stolen all the property and where we live there is a whole bunch of trees so anyone can sneak on the property at night. We are moving out at the end of january 2015 thing because once again they want to raise our rent to $1000 for a small one bedroom apartment. They also stated that there is no longer security they stopped it this month but you're paying for security when you sign your lease. read more

Love/Hate the place you live I love my home (apartment) because of the way I have it set up and the square footage it is located right near I-5. It is a little pricey - when I renewed my lease they added an extra charge without telling me and when I questioned it they stated it was all in my new lease (to my knowledge when your rent is increased that was all I thought was increased) I was wrong they added money for maintenance for the property, they placed that on the utility bill not on my lease but the utility bill so that is why I did not notice the additional $20 a month so in all reality my rent went up more than they disclosed verbally. WARRING BEFORE MOVING ONTO THIS PROPERTY (READ THE FINE PRINT ON YOUR APPLICATION)! So when I called to complain about my car being towed, I spoke to the manager She stated that the property is not visitor friendly and went on further to say they are not allowed to park on the property from 6 PM till 8 AM which is after business hours for the staff, what a great thing for the office staff but what about the resident who would like to have family and friends over for dinner or to spend the night from time to time. See when I moved here they use to supply parking passes for overnight or visitor passes but the NEW manager stated WHEN SHE came on she has made it her mission to clear up the parking issue so therefore SHE stopped allowing all visitor passes expect for the hours the office is open, again how covenant for the office staff to not have to purchase a parking pass I work and I am sure 1/2 of the residents living on the property do as well, and when I have dinner it's normally after 6 pm so she stated my friends and Family can park on the street, which is a pretty good hike up the hill and since the people who come visit are my children who have a new born baby and a 3 year I guess they should walk up the hill in the rain and cold because the NEW Manager has made it MISSION to control the parking issue by not allowing visitor parking passes due to HER MISSION (oh she does not live on site). Lets talk another issues about my washer that you replaced with a used one and when I came and told you it was leaking you stated I needed to put more clothes in the washer because I was doing too little of loads that is why it was leaking, and it took me three to four months to get a different washer from the previous one that was so noisy and was not working right as well. What about the staff member who lives on site with a Pitbull, right above me, I thought that kind of dog was not allowed in the building? What about one month you provide passes and the next month you don't and we are supposed to read the new letter you send out to keep up with your mind changes. I feel if you are going to change the rules on the property because a NEW Manager has a mission then I should have the right to get out of my lease without penalties. Also the rental of the common place (cabana) - Last September I was going to use the cabana for my granddaughter birthday and I was told the deposit was $50 and if I left the place clean it would be returned, Then when I was going to use the cabana last month March I was told there was a $300 non-refundable rental price. These are some of the things I am talking about, having a great place to live in turns into a nasty taste in ones mouth when the manager states she would not live on the property she works at, well I do live here and I want to like coming home and waking up and feel safe and good that my belongings will be in the parking lot. So I had a great morning, I was enjoying the company of a friend who came at midnight, I parked my car in a permit parking spot because that is where I was told people could park and since the office was not supply the passes in the work out room I thought I would be okay, well less than 2 hour later my car and six other cars were towed, are you telling me all six of us were in the wrong or is it that the office keeps changing their minds on policies that it confuses the residents. Something needs to be kept standard there needs to be accountability on the staff parts they can't just change things on the resident and think we are going to sit back and be okay with it. Also my complaint to the security company and the towing company - $2,000 you made in less than 2 hours who got the kick back, don't think we are all stupid. I will get to the bottom of this and see who is getting the kick back and if I find out the apartment complex is involved because they change things often I will get my $300 back from being towed last night and request for mental distress. High Grove is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Be prepared for regular 48-hour entry notices and even ones with out notice. about once a month so far with sometimes vague reasons. The office staff will not help you they will say they'll take care of a problem then no one does anything though. They just want you to go away which is why they don actually answer the phone even if there are a few of them in there. I TESTED this fact in the lobby! And they are actually bribing people to give good reviews with the possibility of money off rent if you win the "raffle" not that I'd trust them to have a winner so DON'T TRUST POSITIVE REVIEWS. read more

Well I can say we haven't had any issues. We've lived here for 8 months and everything has been fine. I've never seen a homeless person on the property, no issues with any cars or parking, office staff is always nice and friendly (except for one male who's always rude an lad snide), they're always quick to answer my questions, repairs have been done in a timely manner and the complex is nice. The apartment floor plans are great and when my lease is up this fall I don't plan to go anywhere. I guess it all depends on your experience, like every place to live. But everything has been great for us. I'm not being "bribed" to leave this review either. I'm doing so because I also run a business and now how badly negative reviews can affect your business even when the customer is just complaining about things that aren't the fault of the management or company. read more

I love the space and quality these apartments provide! The location is great the freeway is easily accessible and the shopping is all round with in a couple of miles. Albertsons, Walmart, Target the mall and more! The management office is always willing to help with questions and make sure any and all maintenance gets completed quickly!! I lived there for a year in 2016. The apartment building itself is nice, modern and spacious living area (only cause it's pretty new). One of the main reasons I moved out of there was they try to up my rent by $200 extra a month on top of what I was already paying for $1200 for a one bedroom apt in EVERETT seriously!? (Mind you it does not cover any utilities). Then there's the shitty customer service. The staff in the office never respond to you or your requests. When I first moved in, one of the living room light bulb was out, the girl marissa or whatever her name was, who was showing me the place said she would send a maintenance to fix that right away but it never happened! I called couple times no one ever showed up! The parking is horrible! Unless you wanna get on a waiting list for cover parking spots for extra $40 a month (Which I've been on the waiting list the whole year, never happened!) or a garage for $100/month. If you get home around or after 7p.m. you will not find any parking spots. I had to park on streets multiple times and even had my car broken into once! Some of these reviews you see on here are from the tenants them selves. The apt has this contest every month, if you post a good review you will get $100 off your next rent blah blah. Nine cars have been broken into today including mine...I have made sure Police was present on the scene to take reports on all vehicles broken into! One was a convertible the other cars I've heard about had a sunroof and the perps jumped on it and caved it into the vehicle. I spoke to the owner about this when he called his insurance to file report. Run run run look elsewhere! Dont be sweet talked by Ashley at the point of leasing. You will regret when you are moving out. Shes very rude and unproffesional! She think shes a KNOW ALL and she wont let you speak to her supervisor. I lived there for 2 yrs. I was charged 418.18 to clean the unit. I had cleaned everything, every corner spotless clean except the carpet but i was told irrespective, i had to pay cleaning fee. I was charged water & sewer for 2 months. For the time I stayed there, i paid rent and water bill on time and kept the unit well maintained. They did not repair anything coz the unit was oky, I was told 418.18 was for cleaning and water! What a rip off! I had paid a deposit of 300 and one would think that the management would use that to clean the unit. They make sure when you are leaving you FIX everything as if the unit was not supposed to have tear & wear, whereas they were collecting rent! Security is worst! My 2017 car model was vandalised. When i reported to them they told me there's nothing they could do about it. If i wanted, they told me to call the police. The repairs costed my insurance co. 2,500! Had to pay the deductable and my premium went up! And if you don't get a reserved parking spot at the point of leasing, you will never get one. Parking there sucks! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST place I have ever lived in throughout my 28 years of renting. They are negligent, lazy, liars, and incompetent. The staff has no clue what's going on and the management company/corporate office doesn't care. The property is disgusting with pet feces all over, trash littering hallways, dumpsters are always overflowing, and it'd be a miracle if you get a unit that was actually cleaned prior to your move in. Parking is ridiculous and forget about having guests over after 6pm, there's nowhere for them to park either. There's crime all around this neighborhood and within. Neighbors are loud and inconsiderate and no amount of reporting to the office will do any good. The front doors of each unit slam shut, the balconies are crumbling, the walls have enormous cracks, the staircases have fundamental foundation safety issues, and the appliances are cheap and constantly breaking. The murder and stabbings have been within half a mile or so from the property. The drug problem is out of control. My husband found a needle while walking our dog. He informed the office staff and they had said they'd pick it up. We left, cake back and it was still there. We notified maintenance in which they said they would go pick it up right now. STILL hadn't been picked up. I called the police and they ended up coming to get it... they're are lots of children around here, it shouldn't have taken ALL day to get it taken care of. read more

While I wanted to start off with no stars, it didn't give me that option. Eventually, at the end we will see how the experience ended. I signed a lease here a bit before Thanksgiving, I had to hand in copies of my check stubs so no keys were handed. I did not obtain the key until Monday yet they still charged me those 6 days and they indicated they could not change it. I arrived that Monday evening and did not know where to park, I parked in a stall and was towed my first night. I asked Rachel for help and she said she would talk to her boss and a week after no call I called her about it and she indicated her boss said no. It was an additional $240.00. To be honest, I don't think she asked her boss. Ashley failed to give me a copy of the contract I signed digitally that had my parking stall number, yet its her fault. The carpet had a pet smell and I asked if they could carpet extract the carpets as I am allergic to pet hair. They sent a gentleman who came in with a 1.5 gallon Hudson sprayer and a carpet rake. He was in and out within 15 min. What happened to the extraction? Where did the loose pet hair go? Sanitizing/Deodorizing? I haven't been at the apartment long but now I am as I am not traveling extensively. Time will tell and it will not be good. Whomever they have performing the move out cleaning company needs to be fired. The painting detail is ridiculous, the cleaning is sub par and the attention to detail is not there. There is none, what is the process or protocol after a vendor or maintenance guru is completed? I made a list of things to due on the sheet where it has to log it down. I gave it to Rachel and it took them a whole week to arrive to redo the items on the punch list. At the end of the day, Rachel calls me and mentions everything was completed. I asked what was completed so I could cross it off on my sheet and she said everything so rudely. I came home and there were still quite a few items that weren't completed. I threw the towel in with her. If she is the manager why wouldn't you check it all so you know the tenant will be pleased. You want to know why, because she has no customer service skills. Its all about the customer/tenant relationship. Without them you would not be here. Go out and talk to residents and start conversations, do inspection walks regularly, so the property stays decent and not 200 cigarette buts in the walkways, move in's/move out's; create a form with its responsibilities for a checklist for any service that is rendered in any unit, have it verified. Remember! Trust and Verify. There is so much I would do here as I have had the opportunity to be in your shoes once and believe it when I tell you, your presence out with the tenants goes along way, you might not be getting all these bad reviews. Why don't you do once a month gatherings in the club house with coffee, finger food and you can have the tenants meet each other, this can be broken down per building. Movie night for the kids. Something!! The one final straw that made me write this novel, is I just noticed a speaker in my unit and camera. They are both wired and connected. The staff in this establishment is completely incompetent and unreliable. When we first looked at the apartments, we spoke to an Ashley who first told us that our holding fee would be $300. When we came back a few days later to fill out the application and pay the necessary fees, she then told us it was $50 more than what was initially said. We asked why the change in pricing and she simply replied, "Oh that price I first told you was our old pricing, it's since gone up." Gone up in just a few days? Okay. Even so, good customer service would be to still give the original price since it that was what was promised. We loved the layout of our unit so much we just accepted it and paid. Upon move in, we had to speak to Ashley again, and we have yet to get a parking permit. We live in a 3 bedroom apartment, with 3 individuals, each with our own cars and we were promised 2 parking spots. One for free as part of the unit and another to be paid a monthly fee. It's been over a month and we have yet to receive either. Anyone who has lived here knows how terrible parking is. For a 3 bedroom unit, we should be able to have at least one of the promised lots. I called again and spoke to the property manager, Chrissy. I explained to her all that was promised to us that we have yet to be given and all that Ashley she said but failed to follow through on. She said that we will be getting our parking lot least by the end of the month. We did not. We were told that after a week of living there, we would have at least one (the free one) and at the end of the month (in June) we would be able to pay monthly for our 2nd promised parking spot. It's almost the end of July and we have yet to receive either. Also, we have called numerous times concerning our washer and dryer in the unit and we have yet to have it fixed. Also, we can tell that someone has come in without notice into the unit. If proper action is not done, we will be forced to take this up to regional. read more

Don't bother renting here. The management is lazy, shady, and rude. Most other residents are inconsiderate, loud, leave their broken down cars parked for months, and speed through the complex. And there are tons of homeless people breaking into cars, stealing stuff from patios, and living in the dumpster area harassing residents. Management refuses to deal with these issues but, in their defense, they don't have to because the lease you sign says that they don't have to. It's completely possible that, if you decide to rent here, your stay will be peaceful and problem-free. But, please read your lease thoroughly, talk to random residents, and read all of the review sites beforehand. As once you're in here, if things start to go bad, there will be NOTHING you can do or the management will do, to fix it. P.S. Lived there for just over a year and a half. Very disappointed in the office staff. They are polite, nice, and tell you what you want to hear... Unfortunately, I think they are that way just to get you out of the office. I moved in and requested a garage, but was told none were available and I could go on a list. I checked back every couple months for 6 months and was always told I was #2 on the list. Finally, I questioned a little more and was told there was no such list, then told that the garages were reserved for new tenants. I had a ground floor unit and froze during the winter. It was obvious that insulation was lacking since I could feel the cold through the walls. My utility bill more than tripled during the winter months just to keep the apartment at 65 degrees. Their answer? Use the fireplace more! Yeah, spent $20+ a week to help warm apartment! My washer had issues and maintenance had to come back twice. They said they had to replace the motor, but didn't replace the worn belt so when the washer was run it smelled like burning rubber. One time they came into my apartment with no notice and let our dog out of his kennel, when I asked them they denied it. There is no way he could have gotten out. When I moved out I was lead to believe that I would get me security deposit back. I asked for a walk through but they cancelled with out telling me. Then I asked for one when I moved out and was told they didn't have time and it wasn't needed anyway. I contacted the office about my security deposit to find out that not only will I not be getting it, they used it for the final Utility bill (that's ok, but would have been nice to know). They are also charging me for professional cleaning after I cleaned the apartment better than when I moved in. They never told me how much the charge would be (yes, it is mentioned in the contract about cleaning. They are also charging for carpet stains (of which there were none when I left), paint touch-up (for what I don't know), and damage to the vinyl. I have asked for proof of this "damage" and paint touch up, but have yet to hear back. All the above (except for the supposed damage) should have been covered by the non-refundable deposit! Don't get me started on parking at this complex. the office is so disorganized that they don't have a clue what is going on. They have no idea who have parking permits, who is assigned a garage or covered parking! Dog mess is everywhere in this complex, even on the sidewalks and drive ways! Garbage is everywhere as well and very unkept. I actually feel sorry for the maintenance team. Lastly, when I complained about a tenant blaring his car stereo at all hours I was told to call the cops, it was not managements responsibility. I was a good tenant, always paid and never caused issues. When i moved out because my employment relocated me i left the apartment cleaner than when i moved in. They said they remodeled before i moved in yet the refrigerator constantly had water on the shelves so i kept a towel in there at all times, the flooring had rips that were glued down, the cabinets had a cheap paint applied which you could barely wash without it coming off, the countertop edging was loose which i fixed myself and I didnt have animals... yet my vacuum was contantly sucking up animal hair in the carpet. I gave a months notice that I was moving so that they could rent it out yet 2 months later and they still have not placed someone in it. When i talked to the staff initially i was told it wouldn't be a problem to fill it so i didnt do the buyout. Why would i if i can save money. Then when i went back in to see if they found someone a month later they stated that the tenants that move out early are the last apartments that they will fill because they know that we still have to pay the rent. If i would have known that i would have did the 2900.00 buyout instead of now being out $4500.00. I do not recommend this place at all. I wouldnt suggest that anyone move into this place. All we had where issues. Our washing machine had broken after calling it took 3 days for someone to come look and when they did they kept telling us aomething else was wrong with it. They didnt offer us anything for the inconvenience after a week of no washing machine i went to the office to ask what we could do all the did was give us a key to the unit next door that was empty which was nice of them but we had to go up and down 8 flights of stairs from going to our unti to the one across the street. They never did fix the washer i had to beg them to move one from a diffrent unit and they put up a big fight about it to. Finley getting a used washer from across the street everything was fine until we moved out and where slapped with a over 1000 dollar bill for move out fee such as cleaning and new carpet. We moved out of this fine complex in July. We turned in our keys, provided a forwarding address, changed our address at the post office to reflect our new address, etc. Today, December 15, we got a call from a collections saying that we owe them $800. Did we get an itemized list? Of course not! This is because the apartment complex did not give our new address to corporate, who sent the itemized list BACK to the apartment that we just moved out of. NOT the new address we gave them. Now we're unable to see what they're charging us for and we can't dispute the charges. This is a shady way of doing business and we know they did this on purpose so we have to pay. I wish I could give no stars. The apartment itself was decent. This review is for 2014, since our issues with HighGrove were never resolved, and I wouldn't want anyone else to experience what we did. We lived at HighGrove for From Jan-Aug 2014. My husband was at sea for most of that time, and I barely lived there as I was helping out a family member through an emergency. While we lived there, maintanance staff was unreliable. They would say they would come on x day, the work would not be done, them a week later we would have evidence they had come. Sometimes they would leave a note, others not. Upon moving out, for the handful of wall hangings we had, 5 light weight canvases, which required one nail each, we spackled, and were supposed to receive touch up paint from the office. We went in every day to the office for over a week, each time being told the maintenance staff would leave the paint for us in our apt "following day". The paint never arrived. For 5 tiny nail holes, we were told it wouldn't matter. Our move-out walk-through with staff, we were told apt was in the same shape as move-in, that we just needed to paint where we had spackled. We had to pay for cleaning the apt conplex was going to provide after move-out. I believe we were quoted $140 for mandatory carpet cleaning, vaccuuming, etc. Our move to the HighGrove was our 11th military move in 4 years. We have never had issues at any of our previous rentals, always getting our deposit back, as it is important to us to treat our homes well, and with so many moves, having as much of our money as possible was beyond-important to us. We kept the same phone number for 7 months after we left HighGrove. 14 months later, my husband received a phone call from High Grove stating he owed the complex over $600 for the state of the apartmemt when we left!!!!!!!!!!! He was told all walls and ceiling had to be re-painted (we had barely lived there!!!!), I believe he was told the carpet had to be replaced. It was the week before Christmas, AND THE APARTMENT COMPLEX HAD NEVER CONTACTED US IN THE 14 PREVIOUS TO THE PHONECALL HE RECEIVED!!!!! My husband was told to payup immediately, before HighGrove hit his credit report!!! Sadly my husband paid that amount to them on the spot, over the phone, via credit card. I was again looking after my ill family member, as well as having a brand new baby. That $600 was a hard, hard hit, and was complete BS. I'm not even sure it was legal for the complex to waut more than a month to contact us over this matter. Our walk-through, as I previously stated had occured, and we were told everything was in good shape, because it was, and just to paint the spackle, but we could not, as the complex never provided it to us, despite my daily attempt to get it. I have photos of our move out. Apart from some easily vaccuum-able pieces of dust (which we couldn't do as our household goods had already been sent across the country), there was nothing else to consider. I called the office as soon as my husband notified me as to what had happened. I was told the office manager would get back to me. I was also told that the maintanance staff who worked at HighGrove at the time we had left, who would have reported the need for work, no longer worked at HighGrove, so he couldn't be consulted. HOW CONVENIENT!!! My calls and email were never returned by anyone at HighGrove. I looked looked online at reviews after I never received a callback. There were multiple reviews from former residents who had also moved out-of-state at the same time we had, who 14 months later received the same call we had, demanding payment immediately, after clean wall-throughs upon move-out. I love the newly renovated apartments, and also how spacious the floor plans are! For as long as I've lived here, it's been pretty quiet and my neighbors are really friendly. Also super close to shopping areas and the freeway! read more

Homeless around the corner living in an "open space" near home depot has resulted in my truck being broken into some time between 6pm and 7am. Maint. staff informed Mgnt which did nothing to inform tenant. The break in was in front of mangers office. In response when ask why they couldn't inform the tenant; response was "we have 310 units to take care of." Mgnt is Indifferent to the residence at this location. The pool had more summer closed days than open ones, this is due to maint, and other events. There are 2 entrances, mngt felt by closing 1 gate will stop all the issues surrounding the pool. Tight available parking, no security cameras to address the vehicle breaking, lowest standard of renters insurance for the highest price. With exception of 2 girls and 2 maintenance workers, the other staff and the Mgr seem to be ENEPT. Now contact information to the owning authority thus we can not even express pressing concerns. Let me just start by saying that I love living here! The first thing that attracted me was the layout of the apartment. I live in a two bedroom with high ceilings, a walk in closet, French doors on my daughters room, and full sized washer and dryer in a large bathroom. We have a big patio and ceiling fans, and the walls seem to be sound proofed because I never here my neighbors above or below me. When doing my initial walk through, the staff member asked me what I didn't like and I couldn't think of a single thing. The community is very well taken care of. They have invested in a great pool area equipped with a hot tub, gas fire place, and high end BBQ, and they keep up on landscaping and leaf blowing and having the tree trimmers come out and cut everything back before wind storms. They have a pretty good fitness area and even a little office for people that need a computer. Everything here is just very clean. For the area of Everett we live in, we were very fortunate to find this diamond in the rough, this is not a shady complex. I have never had my car broken into, yet again I've never left valuables left visible in my vehicle. I also appreciate the staff here so much! I have had two minor maintenance requests and they sent a guy out to fix the problem within a couple of hours. Andrea is so friendly and helpful every time I have questions and really takes in interest in me and my daughter when we come to the office. The staff sends out monthly newsletters and keeps the residents informed of any upcoming changes and even holds community wide perks such as free breakfast Fridays and meet and greet pool parties. Overall, there is nothing more I could ask for from High Grove. They go above and beyond in every way possible. If you think there is anything wrong with this complex, go try living somewhere else where you will never get anything nearly as good as High Grove. read more

I currently live at Highgrove Apartments and when it comes to the actual apartment, they are beautiful and have open, spacious floor plans. Inside they have 9ft ceiling so it doesn't feel like you are living in an apartment (as my friends always point out)!! Highgrove is also surrounded by gorgeous trees and manicured landscaping. There is a playground close to our apartment that my grandchildren LOVE to play at as well as the dog park next to it. They really enjoy seeing the dogs run around. We also enjoy the sparkling swimming pool in the summer time and the barbeques that we can use as well. Our apartments are close to the bus stop and LOTS of shopping. The Professional office staff is very friendly and helpful. If you have a question or concern they are right there to answer if for you!! So do yourself a favor and take the time to come check out an apartment, but leave your worries behind because you just might have found your new place to call home. We sure did!! read more

If you're worried about finding a healthy and safe place to live in the greater Seattle area I can only recommend AMC Highgrove. They made it easy to sign up. I moved here from Virginia so I had to do it all remotely and it was quick and easy. When you have to plan a cross-country move then everything that turns out not to be a hassle is a big plus. I was able to do everything online. It's quiet here. The insulation between apartments is amazing. When I have to study or need quiet to do some programming I'm never distracted by loud neighbors. The downside is that I have no excuses to not study. It's safe. There are always neighbors out walking their dogs and AMC employees tending the grounds. With all that activity I never feel unsafe or as though I have to watch my back walking to the 24-hour gym in the middle of the night. The 24-hour gym. Since I can go whenever I like I can pick off-hours when the gym is empty. It's pretty well equipped. Love the elliptical machine. Location and price. It's right by the highway (but far enough that you cannot hear the traffic) and for the convenience of being able to get around quickly (and into Seattle, Bellevue, etc.) it's a very good price. I was unable to find a lower price with at least the same amenities and convenient location. It's newer construction and has a sprinkler system. I don't know if that's normal for this area but it's a first for me. I love the added fire safety aspect. I once lived in a townhome where a neighbor almost burned the building down while leaving the stove unattended while he was cooking something. Coming home to my building on lockdown by the fire department and not being able to see whether my townhome with my pets inside was still there was terrifying. Ever since then fire safety has been a major concern for me. I feel good here. read more

so glad we only signed a 6month lease. No parking after 6 even if you have a permit pass. Walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors and you feel the cold coming in through the windows. Had issues with rent. when we paid the same amount the whole time and the last month in they said we had been late so on top of what we paid had to pay an extra 400bucks. they left the notice at end of business day sat so you couldn't even go in until Monday and by that time you were at your 3day notice or vacate. wish I had known sooner. read more

I just want to start off by saying that I have lived in Highgrove for over 4 years. The complex has the amenities that you would want. The complex also has a dog park where you can let your dog off-leash. In addition, my grandkids really like the playground area. Highgrove grounds are well maintained and the maintenance team always strives to provide the best care. I would recommend Highgrove to anywhere in their search for a place to call home. The office staff are nice and courteous, always helpful if you need things. They really try to make you feel welcome and at home. read more

The apartment complex was okay but expensive. When I moved here September of last year, I told the office about my issues. The windows alarm doesn't have cover on it and they only wrapped them with tape. the alarms are not working and annoying because it keeps beeping. The kitchen sink has a pin hole leak so I wasn't able to use it. I waited for 10 months, keep calling them and sending email and still no actions. The unit above me is loud, I can hear their foot steps every time. I even woken up in the middle of the night because of their footsteps and baby crying. And then last June I purchased my own renters insurance and told them right away gave them a copy, but they still charged me with their own insurance. so pretty much I am paying double renters insurance. I've told them 4 times since June because I keep noticing it on my monthly bill. I went back again yesterday because they're still charging me after giving them 4 copies and talking to them 4 times in the pass 3 months. They pretty much told me "oh, we can't do anything about that. Sorry we can't give you your money back. Your insurance company need to send us the copy of your renters insurance, not you. that's make it invalid". really? read more

The apartments are spacious with some units updated but everything else about living here is a nightmare. They are far too expensive and if you renew your lease, expect to be paying much more than you original conctract. The parking is horrendous. Even if you do pay for a permit parking spot, it's difficult to find one and don't be surprised if you wake up one morning to find that your car has been towed with no real explanation as to why or options for reimbursement. If you're the type of person that likes to hand deliver your rent check, I can tell you now that you should go ahead and pay the fee for online payments because it's exhausting trying to figure out why you have an eviction notice every other month when you know you've paid on time. They give you excuses like, the rent was applied to the wrong apartment, or your check was sorted incorrectly, or my favorite, we never received it (we lost it and we don't want to admit that to you). They give you a 48 hour notice for 'inspections' and sometimes they just show up and look surprised that you're home. The customer service is lacking to say the least, and while some of the people in the leasing office are a pleasure to work with, there are one or two staff members that make every encounter dreadful and far more difficult than it has to be. If you are looking for a nice apartment and you don't mind it being overpriced then you should check this place out and form your own opinion. BUT if you want to avoid a 12 month headache and some major regrets, then take my advice and look somewhere else. read more

We have experienced the same as Annon P. My husband and I moved out in AUGUST 2014. As a Navy family, we had moved 11 times in 4.5 years. We have ALWAYS had our deposits returned to us in full, as we always leave our apts and homes in better condition than we received them. We had our walkthrough before we left WA - we were told everything was in great condition, no issues. We were told to fill in the holes from our wall hangings, and that the complex would give us touch up paint. In the week before our move across country, the paint was never supplied, despite us going into the office daily, and being told the maintenance crew would bring it "tomorrow". Yesterday, SIXTEEN months after we moved from HighGrove an agent from a collections company called stating we owed approx. $800!!! We have NEVER been contacted by anyone before now. Our phone numbers remained the same for 5 months after our move. Our email addresses were the same. The complex knew we didn't know what our next address would be. My husband spoke to the collections company, and paid the minimum they were demanding to prevent this from showing on our credit. I am demanding this money be returned to us immediately, but haven't heard back from HighGrove - not by phone or email. As we were told by HighGrove agents, the apartment was in fine shape. We were also told that the fee we paid upon move-in, would be applied to the cleaning fees we agreed to pay - approx $150. HighGrove needs to keep their word. The high fees we paid needed to be applied to the MINIMAL cleaning they had to do. Having moved 11 times, we learned that if cleanup is offered by a complex, take advantage of it, or they will very likely find a way to charge you after you do the work. We have heard similar stories about complexes taking advantage of military personnel transferring, but it has never happened to us - before now. Will update when I hear from anyone at HighGrove, but seeing as this has happened to another person on here, I believe this is likely a gross trend. read more

I'm sorry I have to give them any star at all just to write a review. For starters, we had 3 cars broken into with the management attitude of "Oh, well, too bad." They say it's "monitored" by security... think of that security monitor commercial when you hear that. Spoiler Alert: The "Homeless Camp" is behind that Big-Box-Store just around the corner. AND NOW... our credit report is now showing an amount for an apartment we moved from -over a year ago! How can they come back, over a year later, and submit a bogus report to a credit agency to get a collection? We still, to this date, have NEVER heard ANYTHING from them that there was ANY problem... and we had only moved into one of their larger apartments! It's not like they didn't know where we were! So, Never EVER believe anything ANY-THING they tell you, and always ALWAYS double check and triple check what they write down. Better yet, find a better, safer, happier place that's not way overpriced. read more

Worst apartment Complex I have ever had to deal with! We have been screwed over continuously since day one. We were given incorrect information about price, not given a move in checklist of what we needed, and hadn't even received the lease until 3pm that afternoon. After all of that we changed our move in date to two days later so we could get all the information we were not told about in order. We arrived that morning and proceeded to wait in the office for two hours as they mad keys for our apartment, because they did not have them ready for us, and they had to make them three times because they copied the wrong keys. The next day we come home with more stuff to move in to find out that they had entered our apartment without our permission, and we thought they let our cat out. All we were told was sorry the blind company said they called you, and that's it. And now after we pay our 2nd months rent we find out that my roommates half didn't go through, and they did not once contact us instead they added $110 in late fees before saying anything. When my roommate called her bank she found out they hadn't even tried to take money out to begin with and once again they blame this on a third party that handles their finances and they refuse to take off the late charges. Be sure you see the unit before renting it and anything they say, get it in writing!! I rented unseen with a promise that anything that needed to be replaced would. My garage door looks as though Rocky slammed a side of meat against it 8000 times. I specifically asked about it since I did see the outside and was told it would be replaced. Now, the day I move in it was not replaced and will not be. Seems they will tell you anything just to get you in. I wanted to pick up my keys at 9 am. I was asked to pick them up at ten as the owners were coming first thing. When I got there a few minutes before ten, I was asked to wait until they finished a training meeting. I just left and told them to call me when I could pick them up. It was more like 10:30. Today is the 10th. I paid the rent and deposit in full on the 1st. Didn't think it was too much to ask to pick them up at 9. It took about 5 minutes!! It was obviously a mistake to rent here. For the price, I had expectations. They are not even close to met!! I guess I can hope it improves but I have my doubts! read more

This place is difficult for me to rate. The staff seem nice and responsive but at the same time I'm never sure of what will happen. Decisions are not being made regarding parking shortages in a timely manner and the garbage pick up is very noisy as one person mentioned. They use small tractors to pull the dumpsters around which is a loud and hours long process a couple of times a week. Working from home makes this a bit frustrating at times. The units themselves are very nice and the complex is fairly well maintained. That being said this is the only rental property I've ever been in that charges us a fee for maintaining the grounds. That sucks when they've done things like closing the pool for days due to someone breaking glass in the pool and leaving it. They've posted signs saying this much and nothing about when it will reopen. Instead of monitoring it and enforcing the rules, they've basically done what happens in grade school and said, "sorry for the inconvenience but the pool is closed until further notice...." and "because a few have ruined it for everyone...". Seriously? The last I checked we pay for this as an amenity that is being denied to the majority of us which has me pretty angry. Several days prior to and over the 4th of July weekend! Not because it couldn't be fixed or taken care of. Because they, whoever is in charge, made the decision to deny everyone else here! It's just wrong and I for one would like a refund for each day they willfully chose not to clean and open the pool. The office staff doesn't always return calls or even answer phones during business hours. Packages get delivered and once in a while we get a notice of this in our mailbox but even that is rare. I would think for what they're charging us to live in these apartments that management could up their game just a little. Are there loud music players and honking car horns all the time? Yes but that's pretty much at any apartment. For the most part this is a good place to live but you're still in a complex with hundreds of other people. That means you take the good with the bad. So far I still like it but will see what type of rate increase they try to pass on when my 11 month lease is up. Yeah, every verbal conversation with the staff said it was a year lease, but when my documents came through it was only 11 months. Guess that gives them an extra month of potentially increased revenues. I understand and agree that business need to make money but it's sad and wrong how greedy corporations in our country have become. Anyway that's another topic. The only reason I even decided to write a review, which I never do, is because I totally disagree with the immature way the current closed pool issue has been handled.
