So farrrrrr so good!!! My husband and I were visiting Calhoun Ga for a week and we found this place on Yelp! because my hubby LOVES Karaoke, we even drove 45 minutes to get here. It is a SPORTS bar first and foremost so if you don't like that be prepared. My husband is not a football fan so we did wait a couple hours before the karaoke started, BUT & a big but, the burgers are amazing and I'm an awesome judge of culinary pleasures. ;-) We had the Highlands burger, cooked perfectly and you could taste the yummy yummy grill! I want another one just typing about it. We were greeted by Mary Anne, who was a very very attentive bartender and so sweet. She has taken care of us all night. Very pleased and I was trainer for Darden industries for years in hospitality and I couldn't think of one thing she did not take care of. The owner of the bar, Danielle, heard we found this place on Yelp! and greeted us within an hour and made sure we were taken care of. Very sweet and very nice of her to check on us. NOW ON TO KARAOKE!! Sarge is the DJ, very impressed, soooo nice and very eager to hear your request. Music was great, the sound was perfection, and he made sure the key was just right for my hubby's voice which is great when you love karaoke and take it somewhat seriously. Of course we tipped, shame on you if you don't. They work, it's confusing and a lot of work to meet peoples needs. Hook'em up! While traveling for my job as a shark dentist I made a stop in Georgia to pick up some shark toothpaste. I was staying at a local hotel for the night and decided to stop by Highlands for a bite to eat. Best decision of my life. I ordered a beer. It was good. I ordered a burger. It was what dreams are made of. It came out hot and when I took the first bite, I thought I just bit into a handful of psychedelic drugs. It took me to another world. Shark dentistry can be very stressful, but the second I started eating this thing all my worries faded away. The meat was like butter. It was topped in crispy onion straws that, I'm pretty sure, were stolen from some top secret government onion straw facility that produces the greatest onion straws in existence. Then there was some sort of crazy sauce that they threw on there. I don't know what kind of magic was in there. Angel tears? Unicorn blood? Matt Damon's sweat? Whatever it was, it brought the whole thing together. I've since left Georgia, and things have not gone well. Everything I've eaten tastes like dirt. All I can think about is this burger. I haven't slept in 3 days. I called the police to tell them that this place is making burgers from addictive substances but they think I'm crazy. Nothing to complain about. Good food and good service! We ordered a shrimp basket and the burger with the jalapenos all over it. Excellent! I got veggies on the side and they were cooked perfectly, not too crisp and not too mushy. Perfect seasoning. We ate every bit of our food. Just had a moment - felt like a burger today. Stopped in and was treated great. Helped me find plug for dying laptop. Then ordered the Bacon-Cheddar Burger but I love Blue cheese so asked if they could swap the cheddar out and they did with mountain of Blue cheese. It melted in my mouth it was possible that it may have been my best burger out in a very very long time. Attentive service and good music in the background.... Second time ordering from Highlands Grill and it is also the second time the same exact problem has occurred. Order an appetizer which turns out to be great every time; and I order a burger as well. For the SECOND time, the burger has been delivered via UberEats uncooked thoroughly. The first time looked as if the burger was just briefly warmed up before being served. This time was a great improvement than last, but still disgusting and unappealing. Will not give them a third try. If you order from them, be wary of how well your food is cooked. read more

Ok so this place is great! The prices on Tuesdays on drinks are amazing. You can go here and get a lot of beer and for $15 bucks that includes food. My friends and I LOVE highlands! We go pretty much every Wednesday for trivia and Saturdays to spend our Wednesday trivia winnings lol! The wings are amazing. Always hot crispy and fresh. They are the only wings I will eat! The burgers are good and they have great homemade style garlicky ranch. It's a fun place with reasonable prices and really good food! read more

This place is horrible! After studying all day I was hungry There is clearly a set crowd of regulars who are and because it was late not many places were open. My adult daughter and her friend were meeting me and they got there first. We sat off from others on the patio because of COVID. The music was loud, the patio was smoky and no one in the crowd wore masks; not even the servers. The menu is all bad bar food. I asked the girl if the fried green beans were good and she said everyone loves them. She sold me on the aioli ranch dipping sauce. I asked if they were hand breaded or prepackaged. She didn't know but offered they may be hand breaded because they prepare other foods and freeze them. Questionable! Definitely prepackaged frozen food. Her inability to speak to the menu bothered me but I chalked it up to the kind of establishment. Then my wings were severely undercooked and clearly freezer burnt. I don't ordinarily send food back but they were not edible. I can't believe they came off the line like that! They returned looking great! Like I expect wings to look, especially from a place that touts about their wings in their description here. Shouldn't! As the patio crowd increased so did the smoke. It was clear the way the wait staff interacted with a few they were "regulars!" THEN one guy comes in with a baby pit bull in his arms and sits. I tell our waiter who looks at him and with a swiping gesture indicating it was ok she says, "oh it's ok on the patio." No it is not! Health code! Finally, our table was the only table asked to provide a card for a tab. Yes, we were seated the patio, not at the bar! We asked other tables and they were not asked to provide a tab card. The manager and self-proclaimed "part owner," said it's "policy" and it should be done with all tables but some servers may not do it their "regulars!" Of course the subjectiveness raised my inner spidey senses so I surveyed. The two couples immediately near us were NOT hanging with the loud, drunk dog-having "regulars," they ate, didn't seem to be familiar with the wait staff all and were Caucasian. What I expect were the "regulars" the manager referenced were also Caucasian and we are African Americans. Shocker! Then as we were tallying our bill (and tipping because that's what we do whether earned or not) we realized the last two LOUD ROCK songs from the live band singing inside were a Biz Markie and Lil' Jon cover. Kind of like when the old Vegas singers would sing popular songs during the Sinatra days in a different key and with a stage show melody. Appropriation! You do the math Kennesaw/Marietta. It's a smoky college bar with horrible food, numerous health code violations, loud politically incorrect music and poor service with discriminatory practices. read more

Seriously the best bar I have been to. It's got this amazing vibe to it. Dark, yet cozy and surprisingly spacious. The ceilings are high so it makes the place seem much larger. Don't expect anything fancy. But that's why I like it! :) And not to mention the food is actually really good! If it makes any difference I'm a 20-something year old, laid back professional. We brought our closest friends and even family (adults) here and everyone has loved it. They have a few arcade games, keno, event nights, a covered porch, and the best drinks. And to make it all even better, the prices are crazy cheap. 4 meals, 6 drinks, and a pitcher of beer for under $70. It's so reasonable. Love this place. read more

This place is really bad. Drinks are super watered down and food is horrid! Also if you go there hungry you have already made the biggest mistake aside from showing up! YES!! My Fiance and I, and all of our friends love this place. The drinks are outstanding and there are so many to choose from! Now...nothing compares to their wings. They are to die for. We always get all flats extra crispy with mac and cheese (the mac and cheese is also to die for.) This is a smoking bar after 10pm and tends to get pretty crowded as the night goes on. They have a large outdoor patio with TV's and a huge Jenga as well. Service is also always great. Will continue to bring our business here!! read more

Oh my gosh!! What a fun place. Went there on a Saturday night to watch the Georgia Bulldog game, and was greeted by happy faces and energetic staff. We sat at the bar and the bartenders Erika, Jeff, and Miranda were on top of it! My drink never ran out before they asked if I wanted another one. We ate wings...... THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!! We had lemon pepper and bbq both were amazing!! And the mozzarella sticks were great! The manager Danielle was very friendly and came to check on us multiple times. And even Renee, another waitress, checked on us. It was awesome service and made me feel like I was at home with lots of friends. Ohhhh and the karaoke, what a blast! My friend and I came on a Saturday night and luckily were able to get seats at the bar. The bartender greeted us and got our first round of drinks pretty quickly. He then told us that we had to pay in cash right then which was a little odd since we were ordering food too and I've never had to pay for my drinks immediately when they were dropped off. So I quickly gave him the money and excluded the tip so that I could tip him for everything I was going to order not just for one drink. He then proceeded to roll his eyes and ignored us for 20 min even after we tried to get his attention. He skipped right over us to his next guests several times before we finally decided to leave, Taking the 1 dollar tip he would've have gotten for the one drink. New owner as of this month. No longer dog-friendly. Which would be fine if the new owner hadn't attempted to blame this on "the police sending e-mail notices to all Kennesaw area restaurants". She said it was out of her hands (it's the short blonde behind the bar that owns this place now), although none of the other establishments I contacted nor the Cobb County Police Department nor the Cobb County Health Inspector seemed to know what would prevent this. It not being dog-friendly prevents this from being my summer hangout on the weekends again this year, but the new owner basically negated all of my business otherwise (we used to come after work on Thursdays and meet up for a few hours - now I'll have to go elsewhere). Basically, I don't care how someone runs their business, just don't lie to me about it. The food is mediocre at best (except the death wings, pretty good!!), it's a college hangout and has very cheap drink prices, and while it's pretty dingy (it's about like a Taco Mac that hasn't been really cleaned in 10 years), both the staff and the customers are generally very good. read more

I love this place. The food is incredibly good for it being a small bar. The staff is always great. I will say though I've seen them loose their attitude a good few times on customers, but honestly its nice to see a place not take crap. The food and drinks are great prices. My only complaints is that they karaoke gets WAY too loud. They just blare it, its so loud you can hardly hear your table. They even play it outside on the patio. I also wish they would stop allowing smoking inside. It sucks leaving smelling like an ashtray. The cops DO watch this place. But don't be an idiot and drink and drive. I don't have high expectations for a sports bar, but this place has gotten worse and worse. They food is absolutely awful. I ordered a flat bread pizza and it came out on a stale hoagie bun... I assume they ran out of flat bread and the cook thought he was being clever. It was horrible and $9.00 for a hoagie pizza that a three year old could have made better in the microwave isn't my idea of a good time. This place is awful! I ordered a BLT with a side of mashed potatoes and it was extremely cold with wilted lettuce ( assuming they tried to microwave it to make it warm before it came out). Not impressed. This was my first time to this restaurant and won't go back. We ordered queso and chips immediately when we sat down and it never came out. I finally asked the waiter to check on it and he brought it out about 15 seconds before our meal...and the queso was lukewarm at best. Plus the waiter spilled the salsa on me when he brought it. I had to ask for napkins to clean it up because all, he said was "sorry" and never offered anything to help clean it up with. My son ordered a burger plain - and I reiterated to the waiter plain - and it came with some sauce on it which the waiter admitted he forgot about. They made new burgers which was fine...just took a while. We never did get silverware and I gave up asking for things that I should not have to ask for. This was one of the worst experiences I've had. First off, took us about ten minutes to be helped after we were seated. We ordered our drinks and our waitress came back with the wrong order, then tried to argue with us saying it was correct. We then ordered food, took 30 minutes to get. The whole order was cold and the Mac and cheese was literally kraft mac with cheese on it...seriously? If I wanted that I would pay fifty cents for easy Mac at the Wal-Mart.
