I visited Hildebrand Machinery in York and purchased and picked up a DoAll Band Saw. The price and condition was the best in the mid Atlantic Area. They palletized the saw and built a crib to support the unit on its side which they did not have to do for me. They went above and beyond what I expected. When you rely on a trucker, verses a rigger or the buyer to pick up the machinery you are not going to get the best service or damage free delivery. FOB means just that. It is the responsibility of the freight company driver to secure the load so no damage ensues during transit. It is unfortunate the previous situation occurred but freight companies have always been a problem for deliveries to us so we pick up valuable items or use one dedicated company for all deliveries so we earn their help when we need to file a claim. We have trouble filing claims. Getting any positive results from freight handlers can be next to impossible. We cannot hold the seller responsible and hope the gentleman who left the poor review can resolve his problem without blaming other who are not at fault . I can understand his frustration. read more

Very Disappointed! I purchased a machine from Hildebrand Machinery and when the trucking company went to pick it up; Hildebrand loaded the Electrical Control Panel on the truck with No Skid or Support. The unit tipped over during transport and they blamed the trucking company for not strapping it good enough. From my experience; when you load the heart of machine onto a truck you ensure that it is skidded and strapped to the skid to prevent it from falling over. When informing Hildebrand of the damage from it tipping over they refused to cover the cost to fix the machine by diverting the blame to the trucking company.
