The owner, Ms. Alisa, is amazing and takes the time to truly know each child and their parents. My son is comfortable with all of the staff and teachers. He has been learning so much, from language acquisition to social skills, he amazes me every day that he comes home. The Goddard on Route 70 goes above and beyond for students enrolled, this summer they even had a farm come to the site and bring animals and they often have a live musician come to sing with the kids! So much so we extended his hours from half to full day! We also LOVE that the classes are small & the teachers build a close relationship w/ every child. Touring other schools was quite scary seeing kids screaming and overwhelmed staff. I can assure you Peppermint Tree is not and never will be that way! You also have a built in Summer Camp w/ 2 pools to accommodate all age groups. Did I mention swimming lessons, class trips, gardening, ice cream days, etc? My child was enrolled in Peppermint Tree's summer camp. He was there for 5 hours and he was out…read more(playground & pool) from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Then they'd go inside from noon until 3 pm. This was their time to eat and sleep! Their naptime was 2 hours. So, if you want your 4.5 year old toddler to go to summer camp and nap for 2 hours this is your place. There were no other activities as promised on the schedule we were emailed to before camp began. The schedule showed that they were going to do arts, science and so many fun things. When I asked if he was doing any of these things I was told by his teachers that most of these were happening during his pool time. Really? Isn't the establishment's responsibility to ensure that all groups get to do these "fun things?" Why should a 4.5 yr old eat and sleep from 12 pm - 3 pm. There is plenty of time for his "teachers" to read books, engage them in fun/educational activities while they're inside. So really, all that money we paid for was only for 2 hours (run around in the playground and use the pool). Our child didn't learn anything, there were no educational activities as the written schedule showed, and we basically paid for 5 hours, 3 out of which were eat and sleep! I don't recommend this place whether it is for summer camp or as a daycare. Unless you want to use it as a babysitting place, sure, then it's fine. Just don't expect your child to learn here...

Ms.Debbie at the front desk knows all the kids names and even the parents names and greets you everyday with a big smile. Ms. Young is always smiling and ready to help as well. We love this school and I recommend it to everyone . My kids have truly been educated, properly cared for , and have blossomed in this school. For this reason, we felt Tender Years offered a lot more structure and real learning experiences. We had our daughter start as a "waddler" and our son start as an "infant," with both staying through graduation from the 4 year old class. We felt that our children were very prepared for kindergarten and far ahead of most other children in terms of their educational foundation (letters, numbers, shapes, colors, motor skills, etc). Everyone at Tender Years has been wonderful. They are truly caring people who do an exceptional job in teaching and caring for the children. The owners, manager, and teacher are very accessible and personable. I never had any concerns about leaving my children in their care.
