All three were arranged beautifully, and I know that my brother -- who loved flowers and gardening in general -- would have thought they were truly lovely. If I had been in my right mind at the time, I would have taken some pictures to post here. Naturally, I wasn't. We got to know the owners and others who work at the shop, and they were all very nice, caring people. Their shop is neatly organized, and they have a variety of home and garden decorations to choose from. If you need flowers arranged, or if you're looking for ways to beautify your home, check them out.

From cocktail hour to dinner to the midnight biscuit bar, everything was a hit. The carved meat stations were incredible - the meat was tender and flavorful, and the portions were incredibly generous. Oh my, and the Tennessee whiskey sauce was to die for (so much so that several guests have already made plans to buy some for home). The green beans and macaroni and cheese were seasoned perfectly, and the assortment of biscuits and cornbreads with dinner was the right way to highlight the meal. Everyone is still talking about the biscuit bar, especially the sausage gravy. One of the best things about the experience, though, was the level of service. Chef Christopher checked on our daughter and son-in-law and visited with our guests to make sure that everyone was satisfied. If you're ever in need of catering, Chef Christopher is far as you need to look.

They must make seasonal changes because they had some Halloween and fall things on sale. Super friendly, they had a table of printed recipes you could take. The recipes feature some of their local made jar goods, like cherry butter or sorghum. Definitely recommend stopping by. I can't wait to see how the decor changes with the seasons.

I am not sure if it is fair for me to write a review about this place since I have come to learn…read morethat I have a direct association with it. This was my 7th great grandfather's homestead. The home was built in the 1700s and is now used as a wedding and event venue. The family graveyard is built on the side of the grounds of the home established in 1790. What I can say from a perspective unrelated is that the owners of the place have turned it into a beautiful venue. I had the privilege of walking through it and checked it out. They have done really well by the restoration of the home and to make it useful for financial benefit. The owners were really nice to show me around and to speak to me. I think that this is worth looking into it more for a future event if you want to hold one out this way, both for historic use and for event capacity use.
