Good, but...BIG BUT! .....Took my Mini here for a full service last week (after they had given me a good and quick MOT with only a couple of advisories), as I was about to take a long trip up north. I had, in my own mind, thought that it would probably cost the same as the MOT of about £300 to sort out the advisories.
When I came to collect it, the very pleasant lady at the reception desk went off to get the bill. When she returned with the invoice, I could not believe my eyes. £700+! I asked, perfectly reasonably I thought, if she would let me see a full breakdown of how that was made up, if for no other reason than being able to show any future buyer its service history.
She went off again and, as she did so, I noticed a figure at the other end of the garage come out of an office and stand there staring at me, arms crossed leaning against the wall which, in itself, was very disconcerting, almost threatening. He then walked up to me and asked me what my "problem" was. I told him I didn't have a problem, I was just surprised at the cost, he walked off saying "just pay up and get on your bike". Very rude, very intimidating. I couldn't stop myself asking him how much he would charge for servicing my bike.
I would advise anyone thinking of taking their car (or bike?) there to think twice and then think again. read more
