Located in Collier Township, near the Nevillewood Golf Course, this little park has a very nice pavilion and playground, along with a nice looking restroom (that was closed for the winter), but our purpose today was to go hiking on the trails that surround this little parklet. Unfortunately, the trails were not very nice. We followed the signs for the Meadow Path, but they were not very clear on where we were supposed to go, and there was a section of trail that appeared to be under construction, but it was not very scenic at all, and just seemed to wind through an area surrounded by buildings, so we decided to do some bush-wacking onto some other trails that were really just sections mowed into the meadows. These "trails" went through the property of the old Woodville State Hospital, and were not easy to traverse, as sometimes they were angled on hillsides, which kind of hurt our feet to walk on, and they also had lots of mud in certain sections. Our boots gained a few extra pounds in one area, where the mud just stuck to the bottoms of the treads. Overall, the park is great if you want to play on the playground or have a picnic in the pavilion, but for now, I wasn't too keen on the hiking trails. read more
