We all want Skinz bike protectors to work, right? they look so cool up there on that bike next…read moreto us on the freeway. Yeah I want one too for my bike! Back in the 70's or 80's some bonehead invented Skinz bike protectors. The synthetic stretchy material covered some super expensive little Italian road bike on the road trip from LA to SanFran for a couple of times and then the racer threw the torn up piece of fabric away. They might still actually fit a road bike, but good luck because they get stretched beyond skin tight when applied to the bike. I have bought 5 to 10 of them over the years, and I have no Idea why. The ones I bought for road bikes at least some how stretched over the bike and lasted a couple trips because they were originally made for a road bike. OH but then Skinz got the great idea to market the protectors as "Mountain Bike covers". OH yeah good luck dirt bikers! They didn't change the road bike design of the Skinz and just called them " mountain bike protectors". I have bought more than a couple Skinz for mountain bikes and have had to massively jury rig them to work poorly. So once again, this spring I have got suckered in to buying another, "Newer style". "waterproof, heavier fabric, mountain bike covers from Skinz. Yeh, still a piece of whoopey. I could not install the skin on my mountain bike without tearing it to pieces. Sorry Skinz you cannot put a bike cover designed in the 80's for a road bike on a Hugh mountain bike. Will someone please invent a product that actually works and put these poor folks out of there misery.

The quality of the welds are horrible. They don't own up to their mistakes . There is also a 20%…read morerestocking fee, even after they sent me quite possibly the worst welds I ever saw. When I mentioned it to Tammy, she thought it would be better to call me names that to try to make it right. Be very careful when dealing with Skinz!
