Fun stop before dinner! Husband and I were wanting a drink and a rooftop. Drinks were reasonably priced and yummy. Rooftop was decorated well, not the best view of the city. I enjoyed our time here.

Super good food and friendly service. Breakfast buffet style pay by weight. Was a little pricey. This is a better location great views.

The best vegetarian restaurant I've ever been to. Yummy. And Claudia, the manager was amazing. Helpful and sweet.

Best vegetarian restaurant I've ever been to. The food was amazing. The Summer Daisy drink was so good. I want the recipe!!!! And Claudia, the manager, was kind, helpful and so sweet. She gets 5 stars also.

The oldest vegetarian restaurant in Zurich. They have a couple of branches and serve vegetarian and vegan meals. You load up your plate at the buffet and then pay for it by weight. They also have a bar for self serve drinks. I will come back here for sure for a meal and update my review. We only stayed here for drinks and it was a nice and pleasant atmosphere and it was busy. I liked the ambience of the place and the food at the buffet also looked good. Must come again for a meal.

Great restaurant in a hotel building with patio seating on both sides, smoking/non-smoking. Wonderful variety of buffet style food. Pleasant ambiance and great juices.

Hibiscus rhubarb tea with variety of selections from the dessert bar

I had only a few hours in Zurich and I feel like I got an immersion into the city during my long stay at Hitl. I came at about 4:30 and bought this hibiscus and rhubarb tea -- lightly sweetened and delicious. And then there's a savory hot, cold salad and dessert bar where you pay by weight. I got a variety of the desserts to accompany by team-- all delicious. I found a cozy and private seat in the corner to take a 5-6 work call, after which I took some salad and a lychee sparkling drink for take-out. I went to the location on the 3rd floor and felt like I was the only non-local there.

One of the only smoke free patios in Zurich. Price of food is 4.5CHF per 100g or approx 20.50CHF per lb. The atmosphere is nice for a self serve. Very clean and all vegetarian.

Great self-serve cafeteria. Located a few floors up, but that made the outdoor deck super cool.

Cafe Elena - Zürich…read more Pink never tasted so Swiss. Pink looks good on you. When you walk in, to the left you will discover large wall of pink flowers. Beautiful large upholstered pink bench for accommodating guests to enjoy good Swiss cuisine. To the right, you will find beautiful bar area, filled with... you guessed it, more pink flowers. The atmosphere is relaxing with great staff helping you decide on Swiss menu items. In the middle of the cafe, you will find additional tables with chairs that's where I enjoyed my Swiss cuisine. I ordered, "CONSEQUENT SALMON," breadbasket, butter, jam, sliced cheese and fruits, salmon and rösti. My meal tasted great and it was pleasant to sit, relax and take time to really enjoy all the flavors. I would certainly recommend this place and look forward returning. After you finish your breakfast, step outside to enjoy beautiful, "Limmat River," running along side. Café Elena located walking distance to HB Train Station, largest train station in Switzerland.

Ambiance As everyone said, very pink. Noise levels were…read moreambient and not so loud that you couldn't speak, but with various languages, perhaps it wasn't as apparent. The seating is comfortable and plush (maybe microfiber?). Music is very 90s r&b. I'm not sure if it's the general vibe or just the particular day we went, but it was enjoyable for me. Service Attentive, but not overbearing. Someone offered us several available tables as we stepped in to choose from. The wait staff showed us the wifi code and their menu is offered as a qr code to view on your phone. We were given enough space and time to go over the menu and she answered any questions we had. Food I got the pink velvet macchiato, which was very rich in coffee flavor, even with the tall glass of milk. The mixed colors were still pretty. I got the Turkish breakfast, which is pretty large, so definitely arrive hungry. There was a combination of sweet and savory in this meal - a small skillet of tomatoes and egg, two different kinds of sausage (one larger, sliced and pan fried to be crispy, while the other is pink, soft, delicate and came in 3 small ones), a hard boiled egg, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, sheep's cheese similar to feta, a side of bread, butter, and jam, tea, baklava, and a little rose gummy dessert. The combination of textures and flavors were wonderful, but the bread was a little on the crunchy side, when i would have preferred soft. The baklawa was filled with pistachios, had a lovely pastry crust, but wasn't overly sweet. The pink, gummy sweet had a hint of rose, so it wasn't overpowering and it didn't stick to your teeth afterwards, so it was a perfect ending to a meal. I didn't get to try the farmer's breakfast other than the beans, but my friend was satisfied with the meal.

Yelp Review 2026 #47:…read more Cafe & Conditorei 1842 is "Zürich's oldest cafe". This place is a conditorei (has a sit down area to enjoy pastries and sweet baked treats) and not a confiserie (take away truffles and candies). They claim to have the best hot chocolate and I would have to disagree. They do have good desserts to pair with their hot chocolate. The building its in has been around since 1824. The bakery opened in 1874 but the cafe didn't actually open until March 2019 so, the name is misleading. They have indoor seating and also patio seating in front or in the back. They have smoothies, milkshakes, matcha, cold brew options, sparkling wine options, ice cream, patisserie items, and brunch food. You have 6 options for their hot (or cold) non-alcoholic chocolate: classic, with marshmallows, with whipped cream, with chili flakes, with a shot of fresh ginger, with a shot of espresso; or 4 alcoholic hot (or cold) chocolate options: rum, amaretto, Bailey's or Grand Marnier. Passion Fruit Panna Cotta: Nice balance of bitter dark chocolate and tart Passionfruit. The panna cotta was creamy and soft. Dark chocolate holding everything together. I love Passionfruit and chocolate combo. 4.5/5 Chocolate Mousse: You can't go wrong with anything chocolate in Switzerland. This has white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate, and cocoa nibs at the bottom. Great creamy texture. Pillowy like marshmallow. 4/5 The Classic Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream: Underwhelming. I've had better hot chocolate somewhere else in Zürich. It's a step up from Swiss Miss. 2.5/5 The Classic Cold Chocolate with Whipped Cream: The same as what was mentioned above but the cold version which is lukewarm. 2.5/5 Service was good though.
