Stephanie was one of three RE agents we interviewed to handle the SALE of our Corona townhouse. She was the only agent who seemed to have an accurate estimate of the value of the property (one of the other agents was too high, the other far too low) and completely understood the dynamics and nuances of the Corona RE market. That alone would have earned her our business. But Stephanie brings so much more to the table than that! She not only found the buyer herself within two weeks of the home being listed (at a full-price offer!), she recommended contractors to help us update the property prior to sale, as we were out-of-state sellers. The escrow instructions are terrible to begin with and they only magnify the problem by having zero attention to detail and zero ethical standards. The initial deposit we agreed to was different from their standard 1%. We were willing to offer 2% and that was what we signed on the contract. Well, Cornerstone doesn't care to read the details and just assumes you are going to go through the 1% standard amount. This is an example of how they don't care what you say or how you want to proceed because they are going to do it their way and you better get ready for some headaches. They only accept 1 form of payment and that's Wire Transfer. Not a bank transfer or a cashiers check or a major credit card. And they will send you the paperwork last minute due the same day. So you end up rushing for no reason and jumping through all these hoops, only to find out that if you cancel escrow, they will take 2+ weeks to mail you a check. Wait, I sent you the money via Wire Transfer and spent $65 to get it to you within 3 hours and now I have to wait for a check that you will mail to me by spending a mere $0.35 cents in postage? Wow. that's awful. Glad we pulled out of escrow. I was actually surprised to see that we even got our full deposit back. I was ready to have to take these guys to court and was assuming they would just try to rob me entirely. Griffin Residential forces you to use these guys because they own both companies. How is that fair? I cannot believe the State of California allows this because clearly there is a conflict of interest in my opinion and going through this process shows me that I will NEVER EVER EVER work with these guys. So if you see Cornerstone Escrow anywhere in the paperwork, RUN AWAY! Not worth the tears you will shed in frustration and the waste of money that Cornerstone will bring down on you.

Brandi stated it was no problem since we never took ownership of the office or received the keys that our entire deposit and fees of $1048 would be returned to our card in 5-7 business days. Later on that day I received an email from Brandi stating that she had made a mistake due to being new to Tailored Spaces and stated she could no longer issue us our entire refund due to us signing the contract the night before. Brandi stated she could only return the security deposit of $650 and we would be responsible for the 1st month rent. In addition she said that our deposit would be return via check and mail after Tailored spaces completed their next billing cycle in October. In addition we NEVER got access to the office that they made us pay rent for in September. It has now been over 3 weeks and we still have not received our money back!!!!!! I have to call the office multiple times due to never receiving any updates. When I talked to Brandi last she states that our refund still has not arrived and she is not sure when the refund will be delivered. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
