Several people were sitting in the store, at least one of which was either an employee or the proprietor, and they literally went business by business and said negative things. If that wasn't bad enough some homophobic remark followed. I set my items down and walked out. Left a HORRIBLE impression for not only this shop but for Berkeley Springs as a whole. Not an environment I want to be exposed to or tacitly endorse by spending money in.

My boyfriend is a woodworker and I've definitely seen some indivual unique pieces here. There is some pretty amazing metal sculpture art. Particularly loved the ones hiding in the bushes out front. What really drew me into the store was the cat figures, available in multiple colors the cats were in a sitting meditation pose (You can also view the art on their Website) Although they ranged in many different sizes I found the small ones rather affordable at 20 dollars each. even if your not an art collector or you find it too expensive for your tastes I recommend this place as rather decently priced... and I've traveled and worked in many historic "quaint" towns. My boyfriend found the most amazing colorful socks that was uniquely mismatched and made in the U.S. there was no questioning that he had to have them. other things I found myself very fascinated with, the clocks, glass and woodwork combinations, jewelry and the wood framed sand/water bubble turners. Located on the corner of Fairfax street and just along the main drag of town directly across the State Park. This place is worth checking out every time you visit. We were happily greeted upon entering the store this past Saturday and highly look forward to returning next time we pass through town. While street parking is also easy in most areas, if you wish to park very close to the store I recommend you bring a good chunk of Quarters to use the 2 hour parking meters outside. You get 30 minutes per quarter so its not too expensive as far as meters go. It is also may be wheel chair accessible as the front door had a small ramp that winded around the corner. However it is of course a small store to begin with.

After a visit to to the spa, stop into the Salt Cave (reservations required, and they book up, fyi!) for an EXPERIENCE. You'll be scooted into the salt cave room, with lowered lights, soothing music, and a meditative video that explains the healing powers of the Himalayan salt. The session lasts 50 minutes and they run one each hour, so be sure to show up early to sign the waiver and get your pair of souvenir socks you'll wear in the cave right over your shoes. On your way out, stop in the gift shop for goodies such as jewelry, soaps, and more. If you are curious about the benefits of halotherapy (the inhalation of dry salt air to promote respiratory health and overall wellbeing), I'm sure the owners of the Salt Cave would be happy to talk to you.

It was easy to set up a time for a 2 hour class, pretty easy to make a day trip to Berkeley Springs from an hour away. We got food before & after and the class was full with 3 people and an assistant. I was nervous for one particular part of my design but a.) it's easy if you don't over think and b.) everyone helps to make it come together. Everyone was so nice, down to earth and it was a pretty chill zone. The temp was comfortable and music was on and afterward there is a chance to shop. Highly recommend and will come back.
