I am relieved to say that the search is finally over! I had my first appointment today at Hina's Salon and the entire experience was wonderful. Hina listened to my concerns and was very thorough, taking her time. She also has a gentle touch, which I certainly appreciate because not all threaders are gentle. Finally! A great salon near me!!!! I get my curly hair tamed with Elsa, dominican hair stylist. She's very friendly, fast, and on point! Being dominican, I am used to people who know how to blow dry hair and Elsa is the real deal. This salon is very diverse with client's and the stylist they provide. Hina is also great. I never even step foot in this salon after being rudely hung on and disrespected by the receptionist on the phone. I only asked if they were hiring for assistants since I am a cosmetology student and I need salon experience. I ask respectfully and calmly; then she abruptly answered " no, we're not hiring" and before I could utter the words thank you she hung up. I then was immediately angered and called back to check her. If this is the way there staff behaves I don't think it is even worth working much less getting my hair done at this salon. Your employees should be a good representation of your salon, so if they are trash then your salon is trash too. read more

The worst!! I got there between 5:30 on a Monday for Eyebrow/Lip special they advertise in window for $10. Sat down (because it was my 1st time did not know to sign in), Lady doing it saw me as it is right up front, She did not acknowledge or even greet, which should been my first clue but I stayed. Three people (one of who came in after) were serviced, the last one came after and had same service as I was waiting for, they both went to back and instead of eyebrow person coming back or even ask if I needed anything, Lights were turned off in area she disappeared to, leaving me still out front with no one asking me anything!! I looked then at sign in sheet, saw person in front was having arms done as well, I guess that is why they went to back. Still no one acknowledged I had been sitting there and by then, other workers knew I was waiting patiently there. I then crossed out my name, and wrote bad service on sign in sheet and left. Needless to say, I would never go back or recommend this type of service to anyone. I would have given this place "0" stars if there were such a rating. TERRIBLE customer service, Never to return again and I would NEVER patronize a place who ignores people for any reason!! read more
