If a professional service business has good reviews it's because they did an amazing job so I can assure you to trust those reviews. Their website has a contact form which allows you to submit your request/concern after hours to have someone follow up and walk you through next steps. I was contacted by Jan who had been trying to reach me for over a week (due to me transposing a number for my cell phone) and she was so amazing at providing an overview of how the practice works and what to expect. She has a calming and empathetic way of handling clients and is a great Segway into what to expect after. Jan set an appointment with Matt about a week out who specializes in HOA issues (and had great reviews and feedback on the internet) so I was excited to get some expert feedback on what I should do. Matt called me on the dot for our scheduled appointment and immediately had a way of making me feel at ease -meaning I wasn't worried he was a shady attorney who will tell you anything to get you to put down a retainer. In fact, he did the opposite. He took the time to walk through each of my concerns, provided info on what I need to have on hand to build a case if I wanted, and also was able to reference Colorado laws. He also is the type to admit he might not be the expert in a certain field but could definitely find you one who was. Such an admirable trait to feel you weren't getting catfished :) Anyhow long story short, Matt took more time than allotted to answer my questions and make sure I had everything I needed to decide if I wanted to move forward with a case. He isn't pushy and felt like I was talking to a good friend who offered advice as the SME. Although I'm not sure what I'm doing with my case yet he provided me with more than enough info to help me understand how I can make a decision! Evans Case LLP and his attorneys did their best to probate the forged Will in Court charging the estate absurdly high fees, despite the fact their client pleaded guilty to his crime. Also, early in the case they proposed--and got--, "a highly qualified individual", Jeanette Goodwin as Special Administrator but instead she mismanaged the estate and disposed of the estate assets at a loss prioritizing attorneys fees and evicting the decedent elderly father, a rightful heir, from his daughter's home in the middle of the pandemic. They are good attorneys but only for people like my sister's "most trusted friend", a forger and others only interested in profiting from heirs and their estates.

Clients received an email on Monday, July 20th stating: "We are writing to inform you of a critical and time-sensitive change regarding your legal representation. Effective Friday, July 17, 2026, CNL Law Firm, PLLC has closed." It has now been a full week since the closure, and the managing attorney/owner has provided zero communication regarding how or when clients will receive their unused retainer funds held in trust. Multiple follow-ups have gone completely ignored. It is deeply unprofessional to shutter a legal practice without an established process for returning client property and unearned retainer balances.
