This is THE place to be if you pass by this Amazing French region. My whole family lives about 20 miles away and I just discovered that place... Please let me take you on a trip to La Palourdiere. My family and I were on a boat trip where my Dad mentioned this awesome place that I HAVE TO feature on www.bonjourclem.com ! They have a tiny abandoned fishermen pier when you can leave your boat while lunching. If you are driving please follow directions on the website www.lapalourdiere.com since it might not be in any GPS. The place is perched on top of a tiny cliff overviewing the Etang de Thau. The view is Amazing and Dreamy. What you see are Oysters Cultures. Same way of doing things since forever. That's why it tastes so good. The service is young, fun and helpful. I cannot guarantee that any one here speaks French OR that they even have an English Menu...but after all, isn't it an even better reason to visit ? Trust me, EVERYTHING IS GOOD. Order anything. Here is what we ordered The local "Maison" Reds Roses and Whites are awesome and cheap. Just go for it. They are locally produced and well picked. As an apetizer we got : Moules Farcies (Stuffed Mussels) as well as Oysters from this very Etang de Thau. Both were AMAZING, tasty, fresh, juicy. We ended up re ordering the Moules Farcies... Then we had : Seiche a la Plancha (Grilled Calamari, tender, butter-like, perfectly seasoned with local herbes de Provence and olive oil. Macaronnade de la Mer (Pasta dish with 2 different fish filets, shrimps, calamari, clams, mussels and fresh crab in an fishy creamy sauce). It was so big it could have been split between at least 2 hungry eaters. Gambas Flambees a la Provencale (Glazed King Prawns with Provencal Sauce) were an enchantment for my palate. The sauce is made with cream and Pastis (herbal liquor, anis taste). Sweet, Tasty, Soft and juicy tender Giant Prawns... Heaven. Bourride a la Setoise (white fish with a mixed veggies and cream mix sauce) was unpleasant to look at but really delicate and delish to taste. The fish was perfectly cooked which is so rare. Of course the fresh bread and butter to accompany all that were Amazing. To finish this perfect meal we ordered Café and Dessert, all home made ... I didn't expect less at that point ! Café Gourmand (Gournet Coffee) with your choice of coffee or tea acompanied by a smaller portion of most of the desserts on the menu ;-). Petit et Parfait ! Ile Flotante with amazing egg whites and caramel sauce, perfect mix between acidity and sweetness. The Creme Anglaise was not home made but honestly, it was great too. Baba au Rhum was tasty but not overwhelmed with rhum either, the cake was moist and spongy and I could taste some kind of Lavender like flavor in the background. To resume this long lunch (3hrs around the table, French Way), we were all satisfied and so Happy to be there. This was a A+ experience all along. I cannot wait to go back home and do it again ! This was one of my absolute favorite meals in France--wholesome, satisfying, and utterly…read moredelightful. I adore homey, cozy comfort food, and this place truly hit the spot. The service was efficient, and we were seated in the back patio on a hot summer's day. While it was warm, the area was nicely shaded, making it perfectly pleasant. The tartes are incredible! I especially loved the chicken and potato--it was so flavorful and comforting. I really need to figure out how to recreate this at home! :) I suspect it's a unique creation of this restaurant, rather than a dish you can find just anywhere. And, of course, my iced jus de pêche was the perfect refreshment for a hot day. I'll never forget this meal--thank you for such an amazing experience!

La salle a l'intérieur est vraiment tres "cozy", mais je trouve qu'elle est un peu petite. Si elle est complete il faut donc attendre qu'elle se vide avant de manger (dommage). Mais bon!
