The food was returned with the driver. This is the second time food has arrived cold in a row. A full refund should be issued as advised by the resturaunt. Very annoyed and left hungry after ordering over 2 hours ago, notification came through at 8.56pm stating food on the way, the driver knocked on my door at 9:50pm, 1 hour after the notification that it was being delivered! Bad service, being a very loyal customer for over 4 years and recommending to family for the used to be amazing food and service, i will not be ordering again and i have advised family to avoid! Two times in a row, no previous issues despite being a customer for years and ordering during busy times before too, so no excuse at all! The resturaunt advised the would not remake to keep a loyal customer! Please issue a full refund.

So when I want a good pizza guaranteed and a good dining experience to boot, then I head down to the Pizza Express near the Corn Exchange. So you should know by now what you get at this quite excellent and big chain. Succulent pizza, mouth watering pastas and divine dough balls. It's all here. Fresh ingredients, ever changing menus and a fantastic wine selection. Job done. Now I especially like this Pizza Express for several reasons. Firstly, the venue is class. Big expansive ceilings, stone flooring and lots and lots of space. Even on Saturday nights, you won't wait an age to get a table. Add to that the five star service. All the waiters are friendly and more importantly they are quick and proficient. You'll be in and out as quickly as you want to be. The only minor side is the lack of space to wait if it is busy and the lack of an ability to have a quick drink whilst you count down those minutes to feasting time. Maybe they just didn't want to serve me because I'm a dodgy looking character? Anyway, that aside it has to be one of my favourite pre Saturday night out eating haunts.

What I was really impressed with was that when I asked for the bill, the waiter asked me whether I had any vouchers to use, which was awesome as it took away that whole embarrassing 'hello, yes, I'm a bit tight, please can I use this voucher, don't tell anyone I'm poor' moment that I absolutely loathe. Well done Pizza Express waiter dude. The marinated olives were delish, and the mains were equally as tasty. I had the Bosco salad (all ingredients I adore - avocado, mozzarella, garlic mushrooms, rocket and that), and Hot Steve had an American pizza. I was very good and had a machiatto instead of a pudding, although Steve had one of those toffee fudge concoctions and the waitress very cleverly brought two spoons touches like that make a difference, and that's why I'll come back again. I don't know why it's been so long since I've been to Pizza Express, but I think it'll be something I do regularly now. PS Two Peroni, a bottle of San Pellegrino, and all the above came to £25.00 on the nose with one of those 2-4-1 mains vouchers. Cheaper than Steak n Chicken Tuesdays end up at the Arc : )

I ordered with glee at the decadent menu and longed for a swift delivery. There certainly are some nice features to this take away - the menu is a little more exotic compared to the Hyde Park run, for example. The Greek is one of those more exotic varieties - complete with crushed cumin seeds and roasted aubergine amongst other ingredients! They also text you to keep you informed, which is nice, and have since let me know of an offer I can claim using the text message service. In this instance I opted for a 'make my own' and chose pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and mozzarella. Perhaps I should have chosen from the standard menu as, although timely, it wasn't all that I'd hoped. Whilst the base was delicious, and clearly a cut above the rest, the pizza was slightly overdone - the cheese being just that little bit overcooked - and there were precious little mushrooms for the extra 65p. Boo! As well the olives didn't taste particularly nice, but perhaps it was a bad night. I guess the let down of what I'd hoped to be an amazing pizza turning out to be average was the real disappointment - it certainly wasn't a bad pizza. It was good, even. It just wasn't an uber gourmet pizza and I was really hoping for that to be the case. At any rate I will more than likely try again, just to be sure, and hope to update to as glowing a response as the others I've seen and read! Hopefully a one-off? Give them a try, and let me know!

My housemate had recently tried the pizza-rific delights and insisted that they were worth shelling out a little more than you would usually, but not a huge amount. The pizza I had was absolutely gorgeous. A thin-based pizza that was not too greasy nor did it have that soggy dough that provokes a gag reflex in so many fellow pizza chompers. The staff that make the pizzas are all experienced chefs and the business itself is extremely professional. They take huge pride in their produce and use much healthier ingredients than most pizza outlets. They use hand made dough with fine Italian flour and virgin olive oil, real Italian recipes and ingredients and stone bake to cook. They also sell pasta and salads which are both fresh, the pasta is perfectly cooked (non of that soggy or chewy rubbish so many places sell) and the salads are fresh and crunchy and a delight to munch on. They also sell a good selection of beer and wines to acompany your dinner treat. If you take pride in your body and what you eat, but also enjoy a nice treat once in a while, Box Pizza is something you should definitely try. Just maybe not all the time, unless you are mega rich! My favourite is the Speck. It is compiled off smoked Italian ham, porcini mushrooms and basil pesto.I am literally licking my lips thinking about them! (The food not the staff...ehem) They deliver in around 40 mins although may take longer during peak times. Minimum order for delivery is £7 but any order under £10 is subject to a 75p delivery charge.

Then we had to ask for childrens menu and they brought one - I have 3 children (who were all sitting there so hardly difficult to see) so we then to ask for 2 more childrens menus. This sort of thing should be automatic in such a restaurant and you shouldn't have to ask repeatedly. I still eat here fairly regularly but find this regular lack of smooth service very frustrating.

We visited on a saturday afternoon close to Christmas last year, and despite the fact that it was busy we were well looked after by the staff. The food was ordered and delivered to our table quickly, and in general we had no complaints at all. The staff coped admirably with the volume of customers who were coming through the doors. Prices are pretty reasonable for chain food - the set meals for two in particular are very good value, and the all you can eat buffets always provide good value too. Certainly one of the better Pizza Huts we've eaten in, and we would re-visit if we are ever passing again.
