Service was very quick and friendly. Food was fabulous and plating was very artistic. The only issue was the first few things we ordered, they were out of. We preordered on phone. It was busy busy. Every table was full and everyone looked like they were enjoying sushi. I took off a star cuz they forgot our miso soups. Service was great, I didn't check the bags. I tried the spicy pork instead of bbq short ribs. The spicy pork was dry and I am not a fan. I do enjoy the pork katsu everytime. Came here for a quick bite to eat with my boyfriend and his family. Portions were good sized and sushi was fresh. Staff was very friendly, as well. Plenty of parking in the open lot out front, making it quick and easy. The menu was extensive and even had a whole section with sushi rolls with black rice, which was unique! Haven't seen that before. We went for lunch on a Monday, so the place wasn't crowded and the food came out quick (about 5-10 minutes after we ordered). Bulgogi Bowl was Delish! flavor was on point and meat was super tender. When placing my order over the phone the sweet gal kept reassuring me that the SOS is extremely spicy and was worried because I have never ordered it before. First glance it looked like a basic spicy tuna roll and first bite was spicy but not extreme like she advised but nonetheless it was delish. Oshinko roll was Oshinko roll =) I just love it for the crunch factor. LEMON ROLL was my fave! it was refreshing / tasteful/ and perfect combo with the SOS roll ( one spicy and one cold & refreshing ) I would order 2 of these rolls next time. This is my favorite sushi spot in Vegas.. and I'm very particular about sushi. Their black rice rolls are delicious and it doesn't make me feel bloated after - there are so varieties to choose from. Coconut tempura is delicious - crispy and not oily. Fried perfectly. Sashimi is fresh. Their bento box is surprisingly good too. Usually bento boxes at sushi places aren't that great but the chicken teriyaki was tender and moist, and large portions as well. There has yet to be a dish that I didn't like. I usually don't have bad experiences here but today was absolutely horrible. To start- we get there and it takes about 5-10 mins to be seated. A couple other groups behind us waiting also. I request a booth and manager says there are none available but then seats a group behind me at a booth. We finally sit down and wait about 10 minutes to be greeted. Another 15 minutes goes by and we finally get to order. We order and wait..... and wait. My brother ended getting his ramen about 10 minutes later and I waited...... and waited and waited for my sushi. I end up waiting around 35 minutes before I say I would like to cancel my order and pay for what my brother got. I'm waiting and waiting to be closed our and out server comes over and says not to worry our whole bill is on the house and sushi will be out soon. So we wait and wait... and wait. Then about 15 mins later she comes over and says if I want my food faster I should order kitchen food and that the rest of my order has now been cancelled. What? You just said you were making it. (By the way I didn't mind paying whatsoever) I was left confused, HUNGRY and extremely irritated. Manager didn't even come by and apologize. After this I won't be back. I really enjoyed eating Hiroba Sushi on eastern! If you're looking for a quiet tucked away, sushi spot look no further than this place. It is small but decorated so nice and quaint. It really brings out a unique vibe.vibe. First to start everything on this menu is à la carte. They do not do all you can eat. However, all their rolls appetizers and entrées are extremely fresh and high-quality. I started off with the sashimi combination plate, which includes high quality, salmon, Toro, tuna, eel, and your choice of roll. This can be a bit pricey at $29 but they do give you a side of miso soup and salad. Next, I went with the Barbie roll and touchdown roll. Both very good and extremely flavorful. Neither of them needed any soy sauce or add-ons. I finished off with the spam fried rice, which has a hint of jalapeños and a level of kick that you are not expecting. Lastly, I ordered the mango mochi which was a bit too frozen, but still good overall. The service was fantastic as the owner plays a role as part waiter and brings food to each table and greets them. I ordered Yuzu sake, which tasted lemony and refreshing. However, it wasn't my favorite as I am more of an Apple sake kinda girl. The best sushi was the Blue Fin and Cajun Seared Tuna. The best ever! As soon as you take a bite it practically melted in your mouth. We ordered it 3 times! They had a lot of option with black rice rolls. We ordered one, crabtrappp roll. Flavor was excellent, it was a little heavy on the side though. Never had had a black rice roll before so we will try it again. I had the green tea ice cream, I know boring but it was delicious and very creamy. My husband had the cheesecake tempura which was excellent flavor! I recently found Hiroba Sushi after seeing so many positive reviews! Seeing how close to home it was for me, I decided to give it a try for lunch. Rather small and charming inside, and with a small bar to sit at to watch the sushi being made. The staff is attentive, welcoming, and spot on with their service. But what about the sushi? It's some of the best I have had! No, it's not AYCE, but that's ok as the quality of the sushi is superb! There's time and attention given to every roll and piece that goes out to the tables. The rolls are fantastic, with perhaps the fried and baked rolls being my favorite! The hot house sake is served so hot, which is how I prefer it, that you need to be mindful of that when grabbing the sake! Very disappointing experience today. I used to love eating at this place but they displayed very bizarre behavior today. A Lady from another table came up to my kid brother and scolded him for his phone volume being too loud (mind you the restaurant speakers are at a pretty high volume) but no problem we asked my brother to turn off his phone but told the lady not to speak to a kid but address the parents first. The lady then complains to the manager about us and the manager suggests that we which are a party of 6 move to a different table? Why do we need to move when we were just minding our own business. They were very friendly here. We had a reservation for 12 and they had more than one server servicing to our needs....service was perfect! Their food is very good. We ordered one of their party platters (I think that is what it's called). Just wow! My son ordered Bulgogi Beef and he said it was really good. The restaurant is small but very clean including the bathroom. It was a great and satisfying pick. I totally recommend this place. Wow, what happened with Hiroba? We have been out of town since February and came back yesterday to our favorite sushi spot to find it.... Different. Not all in a bad way to be fair. But what happened to food portions? We have been ordering their RocknRoll roll for years. It used to be a beautifully arranged cucumber wrapped roll full of fresh fish. Yesterday we received a meager looking roll about 2/3 of a normal size with tiny pieces of fish haphazardly sticking out of it. New chef's assistant? Their regular chef was present but we did see a new person behind the counter. Purple dream roll was also not as beautifully presented as it normally is and smaller. The rest was OK. But not stellar as usual. Service was OK with some team members very good and some so so. All servers seem to be new, no familiar faces. read more
