Maile Hirota and Stella Shimamoto did an excellent job preparing our E2 visa application and guiding us through the renewal process. My husband and I were advised that the processing time for visa renewals was a lengthy six months (due to a Covid-related backlog). I needed to travel for an upcoming medical treatment so Maile and Stella advised me to include a letter from my doctor in the hopes that the consulate would expedite our application. It worked and we were able to get the visa processed in three months and without having to go in for an interview! The visas were mailed to us. I would not recommend; I went to see her for a consultation about 3 years ago and she is one of the most discouraging people I have ever met. Most of the reviews she has are from people with ZERO friends. These reviews look questionable and fake to me. After her "consultation," which was useless, to say the least. Hirota attorney was judgmental and seemed like she did not want our business. This experience was one of the worst and most unprofessional I have ever seen and I would never recommend her. So thanks for nothing. We filed all the required paperwork by ourselves and researched everything by ourselves; my husband got his permanent resident about a year ago. I've had the opportunity to work with Maile and Stella on multiple immigration cases as a business client. It is a little hard to write an engaging review because Maile and Stella are so good at a difficult job, they make it look easy. They have worked with me on visas for people from Africa, Asian (China, Korea), Russia, Australia and Canada. They've helped me with questions like "How would you go about securing a work visa for a citizen of two countries currently working in a third country?" While this person could have applied at any US Consulate, we decided at their advice to have the person go back to her home country where the US Consulate was most familiar with this country-specific visa. Time was an issue and we did not want her to be delayed. She was able to get her visa in 48 hours. Each country/region has its own challenges and Maile and Stella prepared me and my employees for the process. They have also recommended to me in some situations that I do not apply for visas because they thought the chance of success was low. I am a Canadian citizen with a small business on Maui. I hired Maile Hirota to help me prepare an E-2 visa application. The quality of the service I received was excellent at every stage during the process. To start with Ms. Hirota provided me with a detailed checklist of all the supporting material required for my application. As I worked on collecting the supporting material, Ms. Hirota was very helpful and responded quickly to all my questions. Once I had assembled the supporting documents, Hirota & Associates submitted all the necessary online applications and helped me schedule an interview at the US consulate in Vancouver.
