One of my favorite places to go to for an enjoyable cup of coffee or a drink. Plus they offer legacy chocolate.

This venue was beautiful! A fairytale! Don't get me wrong about that. Absolutely lovely location,…read morebut I would probably not utilize it in the future. I was in a friend's wedding and witnessed many nit picky rules when she worked with this venue. The earliest they will allow you to arrive is 10am (you pay extra for that, otherwise it's not until 1pm), no set up or leaving items for set up the night before. This caused major crunch time for hair and makeup to happen in time for photos etc, before the ceremony. They say that they use the morning to maintain the property, however there is a lot of overgrowth going down the steps to the ceremony site and one set of stairs is an accident waiting to happen - bricks and stones very uneven, broken and unsafe for heels or even flat shoes. Next rule that made things a bit stressful was we had to have everything out of the bridal suite within 15 minutes once the ceremony was done AND they actually changed that the day of and said it had to be out before the ceremony. (What are you doing with this entire building that we have to get out of it so quickly? shouldn't a bridal suite be a place to go get freshened up or get away from others if need be, to have some down time.) And the owner lives right on the site just a few feet away. Since they changed this the day of we rushed to get things out before the ceremony and they ended up kicking out our makeup girl very rudely during the ceremony. When speaking with the owner she seemed nice enough the day of, but prior to, was very rude when the bride asked for suggestions relating to anything she may have experience seeing people do at weddings for the ceremony setup. Lastly, she was very quick at getting tear down started. We didn't need to be out until midnight and the wedding party did most of the tear down around 10:30 and folded up most of chairs (venues responsibility) ourselves. The owner grabbed items from the bridal shack (what you get for the rest of the night when kicked out of the suite) even though we were well on our way to grab them and still had a half an hour left. You can tell that the property doesn't have as much love put into it anymore like it did years ago when the winery was open. I hope someone that's truly passionate about putting on weddings and events takes over this place in the future.

The winery/distillery is nestled into a scenic area, right next to the Chippewa River. Behind the building is a large area with the stage, with the vineyard behind that. On this day, they had Happy Trails Pizza serving food. The inside of the building has a large main seating area. There are different areas for tasting wine, ordering cocktails, or buying snacks and merchandise. The entire space is well-designed. We ordered a few cocktails and grabbed a table under the pergola-covered area. There weren't that many other people there (it was a very warm 90°F day), so we had lots of space. My Lavender Collins was very good, and everyone else enjoyed their refreshments. While we listened to the band, we munched on the caramel corn that we purchased inside. If we hadn't already had lunch, we would have tried the pizza. Maybe next time. Would definitely come back again for a drink and a concert.

Nestled in the city of Haugen, you will for sure find yourself wondering how and why this facility exists, yet I am forever grateful it does! We sat outside on the patio which has twinkle lights and overlooks a running creek. The trees above in the skyline are gorgeous and the entire experience is serene. We opted for the Heavenly Hibiscus which is a raspberry mimosa with an edible flower. This drink was delightful and fresh! For food, we split the charcuterie board which was filled with grapes, almonds, two types of cheese, crackers and salami. We also split the pizza and were happy that we could pick our own toppings for each side. One pizza was the perfect size for two! There was one canned beer and a sangria ordered as well. While truly a 5 star experience, I did think it was odd that the plates and water cups were paper as everything else was elegant and upscale. This observation is not enough to damage any lower score, yet I am still calling it out so others are aware / genuinely curious on why this would be ? None the less - Thank you for the lovely experience, The Creamery! Looking forward to my next visit.

TLDR: creative cocktail and good menu with a Wisconsin twist…read more I brought my group of 8 family and friends here and everyone loved what they ordered! The menu features a lot of local Wisconsin produce and Wisconsin favorites with a twist, like Baked Cheese Curds (the tomato jam is SO GOOD) and Portobello Poppers with a wild rice and cheddar filling (it was so tasty I couldn't believe it was vegetarian!). Everyone really liked the Chicken Fried Rabbit (obviously, not our veg friend lol). The buttermilk-brined rabbit leg was so juicy and tender. The red cabbage slaw on the side was a perfect pairing. The Candied Pork Belly just melted in my mouth, no joke! And I love that it was seasoned with hoisin sauce and came with some baba ghanoush, which you'd think wouldn't go together--but it so does. For my main, I had the Grilled Ribeye and my bf had the Roasted Lamb. Both were cooked to perfection (medium rare) and both were phenomenal! The chimichurri on the side had some sweet kick to it but the steak didn't even need it bc it was plenty flavorful and tasty. The lamb was so tender and the mint gelee was *chef's kiss*. The Great Lakes Walleye was served on a nice tomato confit brodo and my bf's parents absolutely loved how imaginative it was. We all thought it'd just come out with a side of potatoes or something but the presentation blew us away AND they said it was very lovely. The kids loved their How 'Bout Them Apples pizza, which wouldn't have been my first choice (apples on pizza?!) but it did look tasty! For drinks, I ordered the Seamus (which is basically an old fashioned with Irish whiskey) and my partner ordered the Watermelon Mojito. I couldn't believe he liked the Seamus bc he usually hates old fashioneds but tbf it was a very well balanced cocktail! His Watermelon Mojito was refreshing and yummy (but a little too sweet for me). My bf and our friend both loved it tho! We'll definitely be back again the next time we pass thru Eau Claire!!

I think we had approximately 20 people and a couple joined last minute. I know this is not ideal for servers, but it worked out well and again, we so appreciate it! The Informalist was super convenient since many of us were staying at the Lismore Hotel. Since this restaurant is located in the lobby, it was just super easy and the menu has something for everyone. We ordered from both the pizza and regular dinner menu and many of us shared a bit of everything! The truffle fries may have been the biggest hit of all, so don't miss out on those! Pizza is fabulous too. We saw elote fries, a burger, caesar salad, steak and so many other things at our table. My favorite pizza was the Yellow Jacket, which includes red sauce, mozzarella, cheddar cheese, pepperoni, and spicy honey. My least favorite item was the salmon crudo, but the salmon entree was not bad. Ambiance is hip and trendy and feels a bit fancy, but we were all dressed casually. Interesting due to the name of the restaurant, but it works! If back in the area, I'd absolutely return. Enjoy!

This was while multiple other parties who arrived after us were served their food, ate, paid and left. It was quite obvious they forgot to submit the order or the kitchen lost the ticket. These things happen and I would never fault someone for an accident when they acknowledge and apologize. But they acted like nothing was wrong when I asked (after 35 minutes of waiting), and I was also quite surprised that they didn't offer any discount or food while we waited. The food was good, but definitely not worth the wait or the $65+ bill for 4 people just ordering breakfast and nothing else. Sadly may be our first and last time here, even though we had heard great things about it.

By the time we left there were a lot of people waiting for a table. The hostess and waitstaff were very friendly. Water glasses and coffee were kept full. The coffee was a little watery. I had the ham and cheddar omelette. I didn't want the hash browns so they substitute a salad instead. The salad was good. The omelette was very different. The eggs were extremely soft. It had sliced ham which was a little hard to cut through and the cheddar cheese was very sharp. The sourdough bread was good. My husband had the biscuits and gravy which he said wasn't very hot. My daughter in law said the hash browns were very good.
