I was looking for a 2018 Toyota CH-R in a very rare color (Radiant Mica Green). Started out in Baton Rouge, at the dealership closest to where I live. They didn't have the color I wanted, but he told me that he could get it from the closest Toyota dealer that had one (which was Hixson). So, we began to negotiate, but red flags went up when he only offered me $3500 for my trade-in (the Kelley Blue Book value when I looked it up was nearly $6000.) When I questioned him about it, he made up a bunch of excuses as to why my car wasn't really worth what KBB said. Anyway, we finally struck a deal for $19000 + my trade-in value. He went to verify it with his boss, and came back and told me, "I have great news. My manager is insane for agreeing to this, but he says you can have a CH-R for that price, but it has to be that one right there (which was sitting on their showroom floor, in a completely different color.) I told him I wasn't interested and left. As I was leaving the parking lot, I called Hixson and was connected with a salesman named Justin Brown. When I mentioned the vehicle he immediately knew which car I was talking about, and told me he'd call me right back for a bottom line "out the door" price. Sure enough, 5 minutes later he called me and offered me the car at $100 over invoice ($24817 including taxes & fees). He asked me to send my VIN # and some photos of my vehicle so that he could assess the value. He told me he could give me the $5817 for it no problem, and I could pay the rest ($19000) in cash. So, I made the 3+ hour drive to Leesville early this morning to pick it up. I met Justin, who had all of my basic paperwork ready to go. I was then introduced to John, who was in charge of all the finances and warranties and whatnot. He, too, was super-nice (despite being a Cowboys fan) and was awesome to deal with. I would stop pressuring your customers to sell their cars back to you . When asked what do I get in return you don't have an answer sounds like a scam so you guys can make a profit. My family has been pushed to sell their cars back and truck they they bought at hixson toyota and toyotas reason people want this car or truck well so do we that is why we bought it . This has to be unethical behavior especially we have asked what are we going to get in return you. They will sell you a car and just a few months later send letters that they want us to sell it back to them . Finally we told them to stop harassing us we are keeping our vehicles. To decline one time should be good enough but these people or very pushy when it comes to that. whatever they want to do it is a better deal for them than their customers or they would not push it so much stay away from them read more

First off, you can't make an appointment with this dealership. This is the first dealership I've ever encountered that issue. So I get there around 0730 for an oil change, tire rotation/balance and to get nitrogen put in my tires. They took my car back almost immediately, which was great. However, they took 3hrs to perform the above. It does not take 50 minutes to rotate and balance tires. I have done this myself in the past. And it certainly should not take 3hrs for the above mentioned services. And to top it all off hey stripped 2 of my lug nuts that I know of. Haven't checked the rest yet. Had a flat tire literally the next day and went to take it off and sure as heck, 2 lugs stripped and ended up breaking off a stud. Luckily I was only a block away from a Firestone Complete Auto Care. Absolutely awful. I came in for my 90,000 mile service and found out a few months later that they completely missed some pretty extensive repairs that needed. My entire break system needed repair and had nearly killed me. Also got 2 brand new tires from there (they told me I absolutely needed them) and now every time it is cold out my 2 new tires lose pressure. They charged me almost $100 for my alignment, which usually is included when you buy new tires but at that point I just wanted out of there since I had been waiting quite some time. They didn't refill any fluids and obviously skimmed over the vehicle instead of doing a proper 90,000 mile service. To top it off, the staff was not friendly and acted like they were doing you a favor by you being there. I wont EVER go back here or recommend it to anyone. Drive the extra mile and go down to Lake Charles Toyota instead, it's worth the gas. read more

Did a good job fixing my car, but did not tell me when they asked if I wanted to wait that it was going to take 6 HOURS. Also, very expensive for one little piece...must be the 6 hours of labor. read more

If I could give this company zero stars I absolutely would. The car they convinced us to buy is utter crap. We've had nothing but issues with it since the day we bought it. Our experience buying the car was just as bad. The man was quite pushy for someone who wasn't supposedly getting a commission off the sale. Every time I tried to convince my husband that we needed to leave and think about our decision, he found some way to get us to stay. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and when my 3 year old son had an accident I got down on my hands and knees to clean it. A man walked by me so I asked him for some paper towels so I could properly clean the floor given the situation. The man made a face at me, got me the paper towels and walked away. When I finished less than 5 minutes later I went to throw away the paper towels and walked right into the cleaning crew who were already in the middle of their nightly routine. So why this man let me clean when he could have politely asked the cleaning crew to do it for me so I will never know. I also find the fact that both the salesman and the financial person or whatever his job was, lied to us about how the extended warranty worked. We could have gotten all our money back for the extended warranty (that we didn't want in the first place) had we cancelled it right away. But no, the salesman told us we had to wait 3 months before we could cancel. Which by that point, there was no getting our money back. So whether you are military or a civilian.... STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!! read more
