Tall stone walls with numerous wooden benches, chairs and tables. Full menu to choose from for apps, dinners and desserts. We already had dinner plans so we tried a flight of their own beers, big pretzels, onion rings and pickled vegetables. Waitsatff was excellent, friendly and attentive. My favorite was the #12. We walked to the restaurant from the castle hill during our excursion, but you could get here by car. There is a parking lot nearby for your convenience. As for the location, this restaurant is a bit out of the way from the town center. We noticed the building was massive and very dark inside, but that was well-fitted with this brewery from 16th century (1560?). Brewery tour was not conducted due to COVID-19 health protection measures. We opted to get a table in the court yard though it was a little breezy. When we sat down at the table we were served immediately (actually one of the nice servers took us out to the courtyard since we entered the establishment from the restaurant entrance). The servers were friendly and prompt. My beef goulash was perhaps a little lukewarm, but it was tasty nonetheless. I can't say it was the best I ever had, but it was good. In fact, I had a very good beef gulasch recently in the Lake Region in Austria. I must say I was a bit thrown off by the appearance of "bread dumpling" here. It looked like pieces of bread in oblong shape (photo), and they certainly were pieces of white bread?! I wasn't expecting that at all?? I thought prices were fairly reasonable here. You can pay with your credit card, so it makes it very convenient. If you want to pay with cash, you could pay in euro instead of exchanging it to the local currency. It seems every time you exchange currency, you'll end up losing some in the process anyway. Most of the touristy places, you can use your credit cards these days. Some places, though, they will insist on cash to my chagrin. I would recommend this restaurant to those who are looking for an authentic experience with traditional Czech food. I'm sorry, but I think it's really about 3.5 for me.

She seemed slightly annoyed by our request but also made sure we didn't have to wait crazy long for our food. I ordered (and shared) a white pizza with spinach and speck. My friend ordered a salad. We both really enjoyed our meal, and I'd daresay this one of my all-time favorite, most memorable meals in the Czech Republic. Everything tasted really fresh and you could even see the chef making the pizzas. The atmosphere was bright and airy -- good for family outings, for casual meals with friends, and for anyone in the mood for Italian.

A Grilled Scrag ("Grilovana krkovicka") for 160 Kc was not such a joy, but good choice anyway. Extra Tartar Sauce for 29 Kc might seem too much, at least it did for us, but it tasted good and fresh. We even met the owners of this venue, a couple, and a very ambitious waiter recognized us from our last visit a year ago. Yes, this is such a family-business-place. Good for pizza only!!!

She acted like we were bothering her, cutting off our sentences and was very harsh no matter how pleasant we tried to be towards her. The outdoor seating area includes a playground for kids too :) Would highly recommend the spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino if you can take spicy, and the pizza prosciutto di parma. The pasta is hand-made; very tasty and slightly chewy (a bit on the harder side, which I personally like). Excellent prosciutto on the pizza and tasty crust (not too thin, but not too thick either). The mixed salad with cheese and olives and the spaghetti bolognese were solid choices as well. We had a very patient and helpful waiter, service was excellent and we left feeling replenished and satisfied!

Interior is very classy but still casual. Very clean, neat and organized- I think couples, single and small groups best for here. Kid ah, maybe if they are well behaved. More a place to be social but people are still working on their laptops because here comes the shocker....they have free wifi!!!! Not many places here do besides hotels so that's a selling point. Their prices are fair for the location, 50 crowns for latte, 35 for espresso and so on. They also have quite a few different brews to choose from-impressive If you're a coffee lover in this small town with not many options. They also have some real food here too so if you get hungry while here don't worry, you don't even have to leave. Think pizza, pasta and steak amount others. All looked delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone in cesky krumlov- great hangout!
