Every plate is beautifully presented here, and so delicious too. I'm blown away! I wish I can take this place back to the states with me!

Eggs benedict with a side of hash brown and avocado. Yum!

This place is delicious! I had the pulled pork eggs benedict with a side of hash brown. The pork was tender and pulled to perfection, and the hash brown was crunchy and had a sight bit of chilli to it YUM

The interior design of Melbourne's cafes are some of the most unique to be found but there are a few styles that are dominant. Hobba takes on the large open converted warehouse style and makes it fun and inviting for all. Doubling as a private function space, the front entrance of Hobba opens up into a large open space with exposed brickwork and wooden beams. A selection of funky artwork prints hanging on the walls and hanging basket plants add some colour to the vibrant space. Seating comprises a mixture of individual tables, booths and communal benches. There is also seating outside. The food menu covers breakfast and lunch with some creative takes on typical Melbourne cafe dishes. Standouts include the Bubble and Squeak Rosti, rosti topped with brown butter hollandaise, roasted tomatoes, fried egg and cured bacon on sourdough, and the Hobba Hotcakes, served with seasonal berries, whipped mascarpone, honeycomb, vanilla bean and house-made maple syrup. On this visit I ordered The Española - a Spanish omelette with chorizo, sun-dried tomatoes, caramelised onions, kale, Sriracha hot sauce and feta, topped with zucchini ribbon and a herb garnish salad. What a mouthful. Both in the verbal sense and the resulting dish. Served in the cast iron skillet it was undoubtedly cooked in, the omelette was the perfect texture, ever so slightly juicy and full of flavour. The hot sauce seemed a little absent and more of it would have made this a stunning dish. A small downside of served in the skillet was that it took some time for the dish to cool down to an edible temperature. Coffee was on point with a range of blends and single origin coffees from Five Senses available for both espresso and filter. Draught and bottled beer and wine are also available. Service at times was a little slow but the cafe was fully packed at the time so understandable. Somehow my visit lasted for nearly two hours, though I probably lost track of time whilst writing other reviews. Hobba fills a void in the side roads away from the Chapel Street but manages to bring a bustling atmosphere.

This warehouse conversion is a awesome surprise. Not what it seams from the outside. Buzzing with a great vibe. Decor is great with exposed bricks and factory lights and beams. Very busy on a Saturday. Breakfast is served until 3:30pm for those late Brunchers. Set menu, but make sure you check the specials board for more goodies. Great attentive safe. Food came out a bit slow though. Highly recommended for Brunch.

Slow roasted pork with lettuce, pickles and cheese in brioche- delucious!

Once inside, the space is very tiny but there's a lot going on. The staff was super helpful in moving people around to help us get seats and they were kind and friendly as well. The decor and drinks are tiki themed. You'll see drinks being lit on fire and everything! They're on the pricey side but it's worth it to come in for at least one. All your senses will be excited.

We always referred to it as "secret bar" and it wasn't until I was actually writing this that I found out it is called jungle boy- a very fitting name indeed! Only being licensed for about 30 people, there can be quite a wait on weekends to get in. Just politely ask whoever is serving the sandwich counter if you can get to the bar, they'll either ask you to wait or open what looks like a fridge door to let you in! It's hilarious on weekends seeing newbies push to the front of the line and obnoxiously ask where the bar is and then be so surprised that there's a while of a wait and that the line out the door is actually not for the subs... -_- The atmosphere in the small bar is awesome, with all the greenery and hanging plants contributing to the great photo ops around the place. There's always interesting people to chat to, regular locals or people who have wanted to try it for so long! Cocktails are made by friendly and helpful staff who are clearly having fun with their job! Of course if you come here you must have the Zombie cocktail served in a tiki glass and flaming lime- perfect to show off to your friends on Yelp , Instagram ect ect! Prices are standard for cocktails around $20 with quite a nice wine list too around $8 for a glass- but if you're in a cocktail bar you may as well have one (or many more) Sort of sad that I have now learnt Boston Subs "secret bar"'s true identity, but I'll still probably be calling it secret bar until it becomes less of a secret - which I really hope it never does!

The rooftop is beautiful but they do close some of it off for functions. The only negative points of the venue are the crowd (essentially the revolver rejects, me being one of them at the time ) and gets very overcrowded being a small venue. Only time I would visit is when everything else is shut as it closes around midday Monday. On the positive super friendly staff and security, great music and nice looking venue.

Quesdilla's are pretty generous for the serve too; the pulled pork is $14 and pretty darn good.
