This small airport has one airline and only one for the unforeseen future: United Airlines. Also on the premises is the one and only car rental company: Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Parking is free. However, note that there is no covered parking. The paved, well-marked lot is as vast and flat as the surrounding desert terrain. The employees were friendly and worked quickly during my first experience allowing my children to travel as unaccompanied minors on 3/13/2023. Security was a breeze even though I was randomly selected for additional screening. Lol. The direct flights go to Houston, TX, and Denver, CO. If/when they start making direct flights to Los Angeles, I'll be even more excited. Here's to wishful thinking...

Somehow, this already mediocre airport turned significantly worse. Most of the TSA workers I have…read moreinteracted with here are just grumpy and snappy at everybody. But the main highlight of my trip here was the following. I had a significant flight delay so was issued a meal voucher for $15 at around 6:00PM. I thought, 'ok cool I guess I'll grab some food while I wait since the restaurant here is open until 7:30PM which is still oddly early for an airport restaurant'. Well, everything was already closed at 6:00PM. Are you kidding? The store and 2 restaurants were already closed at 6:00PM? Also the workers here have not been updating anybody about the delay status. They're lollygagging around and joking around with each other laughing while the passengers are livid. I was told that the maintenance guy is still at his house so they're waiting on him to get up and drive over here. What is going on here? This place really needs to get their stuff together.

Take this review with a grain of salt…read more.. United Airlines at Hobbs airport is at the time of this writing (4/25/2023) the only airline available. They used to only offer flights to Houston, TX. Now they offer certain days to and from Denver, CO. There are two primary reasons for my low rating... One being for the late flights coming into Hobbs, their process for getting unaccompanied minors back to parents is a bit nonchalant. The second is the wait for checked-in luggage. The planes are the smaller ones. It doesn't seem like it should take that long even at around 9:30PM, but it sure did on 3/21/2023.

Extremely comfortable ride for an eight-passenger propeller plane. Totally blown out of the water by the lack of turbulence. Flew through a T-storm like it wasn't even there. Gate staff, also amazing. In years of travelling, I've never seen gate staff more welcoming. Unfortunately, on this trip, we ran into a thirty minute delay leaving Albuquerque and a five hour delay leaving Carlsbad. Ouch. Boutique Air, I'll be back to try you again, and update my review. Hopefully things will be better next time.

Nice private airport in Midland, Texas. Lounge area is pleasant with snacks, water and coffee…read moreprovided. Bathrooms are ok, no comment on the women's, but the men's needed cleaning. With that said, it was mid-day, so I don't fault them. The airport is well-located in the city with quick access to downtown. Given this is Midland, there were lots of private planes. If you have the opportunity to fly private to Midland, this is a good spot to come and go from.

Southwest Airlines has been really disappointing lately…read more In June 2024, my daughters and I flew out of this Midland, TX, airline. The reason I always chose Southwest was because I didn't mind flying commercial and economy-class within the United States if it saved me money. Plus their bag limits and fees were better than other major airlines. The flight attendants were once upon a time much more enjoyable. Now it seems like staff members at all Southwest Airlines are going through the motions. Couldn't even hear or understand the person at the podium when boarding time started. Moreover, recently Southwest has announced they are doing away with their long-established policy of "first-come, first-served" seating. Instead, they are moving to assigned seating. I've seen many comments from individuals across social media expressing their joy over this, citing the awkwardness that goes with the usual seat-seeking process. Whatever! I highly doubt the experience overall gets better by taking away first choice seating and (we all know it's going to happen) raising prices, Southwest.

The plane a 737-800 a somewhat new plane had really bad internet. Little disappointed... but I will give 5 stars still due to the excellent crew. One passenger (Karen) sitting up front wanted a lady that decided to sit by her to place her dog (service animal) in the overhead compartment that was in an animal carry on. I'm like... are you kidding me. The Karen elected to move away from the dog... really??? Place the dog in the overhead... give me a break.
