I visited this location and witnessed a manager named Melissa literally verbally abusing her employees. She would interrupt them to "correct" and yell at them in front of customers. Made it seem super inconvenient when they needed help or for her to check something off. Made me so upset at how sweet and amazing these employees were and she was such an awful human to them. Do better hobby lobby and get rid of this waste of a manager. read more

A consistently great store... and a great framing place! We have shopped at Hobby Lobby for craft items over the years. They have a great variety and are comparable to JoAnn's and Michael's. For photo frames, they have a great selection, too, and ones you can't find elsewhere. We purchased frames for our children's Confirmation certificates and the frames look great (frames picked from the shelf). We recently had some prints made to hang on our walls. We made the prints at Schiller's and got the custom framing at Hobby Lobby. Part of the reason we picked Hobby Lobby is because they sell frames of different sizes, two-packs of black metal frames, ranging from 9" to 27" and you can mix and match to get just the right size frame for you! And they have the angle brackets to connect the frames and the wire to hang them on the wall. I have been capturing HD / 16x9 aspect ratio images for some time, and I wanted the prints to reflect that size (i.e. I did not want to crop any of the images), and didn't want a big cost from custom framing. Hobby Lobby made that possible... and now our images from Devils Tower and Old Faithful and Kona are on the wall just as we captured them, bringing us BIG smiles from the great memories! And we also needed some custom framing. Livvy and Kristen were a great help... making nice mattes and new glass for a frame we had dropped, and putting together the frames for us... better than we would have done ourselves. Prices and Sales are pretty competitive with Joanns and Michaels. Cons: I've been in twice with a medical mask and medical ID because of a transplant and was followed around too close for comfort and treated as if I was going to rob the place. It wasn't a comfortable experience then. Now that I do not require a mask to go in public, they are friendly. If I had been treated with dignity like I am without a mask i would have given a better review. read more

I have to preface this review with a little information about myself. I grew up making all sorts of crafts. My mother is one crafty little lady. She taught me how to sew, crochet, paint, make soap, throw clay, and construct small things out of scrap lumber, etc. As a result, I sort of have an addiction for all things homemade. Thus, I love hobby and craft stores. There could be kids running around screaming, dirt on the floor, and rude sales people, and I'd still probably give them a 4 star rating or better just because they sell craft supplies. But they receive a 5 star rating from me because it's a clean, quiet store with a large selection. And, unlike fabric stores like Hancocks and JoAnn's, there are things at Hobby Lobby that my husband likes to look at (e.g., the car models and toy racetracks). So he complains less when we go to Hobby Lobby. Though their fabric selection is a bit small, it has some decent offerings at good prices. Since they sell fabric brands that JoAnn's doesn't, I come here to look for different patterns and prints. If you shop at Hobby Lobby, never buy anything full-price unless you absolutely need it. They have different items on sale every week, and they seem to go through a 4 week sale cycle. So, if you missed the week your item went on sale, just wait another 3 or 4 weeks and it should be on sale again. Also, every few weeks they have a printable 40% off coupon. read more

Seasonal is 50% off, so it is now a reasonable price/ profit for the company. The item I wanted, unlike any of the other items, happened to be damaged. It had a huge chunk out of the corner of the frame- not surprising since it was not real wood. I asked if they would do an additional discount for this 4'x3' piece of (mass produced) "artwork." They said they were not allowed. Really Hobby Lobby corporate? No one is going to pay $50 for this damaged piece of artwork. Had they given me a discount I could have made my own frame for it to cover up the damaged one. Instead, they would rather pay to send it to a landfill? Very responsible. Anywhere else would have offered at least a 10% discount to make the customer feel ok about taking home a damaged item. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't go to a place called "Hobby Lobby", because I'm not at all the creative, make your own stuff kinda gal - but after being told they actually have a lot of home goods (furniture, art, mirrors, vases, etc.) - I decided to check it out on my way home from work. I am super glad I did because EVERYTHING was on sale! I mean, 50% sale! I had to stop myself from going crazy, or I would have went home with $300 worth of mirrors and mail station organizers and picture frames! There is a lot of cute stuff to spruce up your space here, and it's CHEAP! Like, some stuff was cheaper than Target cheap! A lot of it was very generic and/or corny - like all the cheesy wall quotes on plaques like "Hope", "Love", "Life", etc - but there was definitely a lot more good stuff that made it worth the trip. And of course, there was a ton of arts and crafts kinds of things - but I didn't check out that side of the store. This is the store for crafts and decorating items! I have purchased alot here, and the service is great. The sales are wonderful and there is always a 40% off coupon available online. I love this store, they have so much to decorate your home with and the prices are good. If your looking for something for holidays, weddings, material or just crafts for the kids they will have it., I love that they usually have a coupon of 40% off and I down loaded the app to my phone so it's always handy. the only down side that I found is checking out seems to take awhile but that could be because there is usually a couple people in line in front of me and they only have 1 or maybe two lanes open. read more

I purchased 4 very large shadow boxes for my husband's professional baseball jerseys to be framed - they were the jerseys he wore during his years of playing ball. These obviously mean a great deal to him so I thought hobby lobby would frame them properly. However, 3 of the 4 were done incorrectly and one fell off the wall because of this. When I took them back to hobby lobby to have them fix their mistake - this location was completely lacking customer service. One of the 4 shadow boxes still had the hobby lobby sticker on it and you can clearly see all 4 are EXACTLY identical - verifying they ALL came from hobby lobby but this place is not acknowledging this is their product so they will not fix THEIR MISTAKE! I will NEVER DO business with this company again. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AWFUL MANAGERS!!! I will be sure to post this on every social media I can to warn others about hobby lobby's horrible customer service. read more

I picked out a frame for an original piece of art I bought. They said it should be done on Aug. 30th and they would give me a call when it was ready. As of Sept. 3, I hadn't heard from them. I stopped by and asked them if it was ready because I hadn't heard from them. They said they had called and I said that they must of called a wrong number then because I hadn't received one. She kept arguing with me about it. I finally said it that it didn't matter and asked about the painting again. She brought it out wrapped in plastic, when we were putting it in the car, I noticed it was scratched and the employee helping me agreed. He said, well I know you didn't do it (as he was the one putting in the car). We went back to the framing department and we removed the plastic. It was in the wrong frame. They tried to tell me that it was the same frame, they just look really different. I said it's a different color and this one is all scratched up. I was told that was the aged look. I countered that the "aged look" was only across the bottom of the frame. It was a scratch and it was irrelevant since it was the wrong frame. At first, they wouldn't refund my money. They wanted to keep the picture and my money because there wouldn't be anyone there to resolve this issue for a week! They finally refunded my money. Kelly, the manager, told me I could keep it and pay full price of $280 for the wrong frame or take the frame off. They wouldn't put the correct frame on they said they can be totally different colors when you receive them. My frame was red and the one I received was brown. I had them remove the frame. Terrible, awful, just the worst customer service ever! I went in there three times and got zero accomplished. I will never give my money to Hobby Lobby again! read more

If you are looking for a fight then go here. While this store has some cute things and useful items I find their prices to be outrageous. Yes you can use a coupon but that doesn't help if you have more than one item. Now you might be saying "everything goes on sale 50% off" while this is true it's NEVER the item I'm buying or what I need is excluded. Even if the item you are buying is on sale you then have to ARGUE with the staff who are not corteous or apologetic for the confusion. The management are completely uncaring about anything and will ignore you. You can be standing in a line 10 people deep and the managers wont hop on a register! Talk about poor customer service. The customer is NEVER right in this store and yet they claim to be a "Christian" company that doesn't open on Sunday and plays Christian music in the store all while not giving a hoot about their customers. Also Hobby Lobby I'd recommend you switch to barcodes because it is not the 1940's and it would make it much more pleasant to shop. Don't bother going here unless you absolutely have to.
