I love the selection of Hobby Lobby. They have such pretty amazing decor and sales. I even visited the bathroom and it was clean. Nothing out of order. Good job. As for the service, Betsy (I think that was her name) was. Amazing. She literally smiled from the 4 customers in front of me until I got to the counter. She was so sweet. We talked about hard times and how we hope things get better. I bought a candle warmer and they use to be $4.99 in the store but now they're $9.99 in store. I asked if I could price match. She called the customer manager over, and she looked like she didn't want to be bothered. Yet, it was fixed and I was sent on my way. read more

I stopped in to grab some garden Christmas decor and there were a lot of broken items on the shelves... I had to shift through many broken ornaments and statues before finding something I'd actually want to purchase which was disappointing. I also went on a Saturday which was my bad because boy was it crowded in the aisles and no one was social distancing. The check out areas were well spread out and there are plastic shields between the cashier and customer. I'll still stop in to get those 40-50% off decor items every now and then but I probably won't come on a weekend or during the holidays. read more

We just picked up a picture that we had custom framed at this hobby lobby and were astounded at how rude the framing people were throughout the whole process. The picture is OK other than the fact that is not the frame we requested, but they did complete the job in the time they told us, so that is good. The gal who waited on us and took our order to begin with, was quite obviously very disinterested in waiting on us and taking our order and portrayed to us that we were basically taking up her time. She ordered the wrong frame for us, even though we clearly said which one of two that we wanted. The frames were similar in look, so we did not realize the error because the picture on the receipt they give you is so small. We realized it when we picked it up, but we are so done with them, that we are just going to keep it and not deal with it any further. when I picked up the picture today, the lady who waited on me did not greet me, she did not smile. She didn't say anything more than she had to and made it quite clear that I was nothing more than an interruption to her day. She curtly told me that I needed to follow her to the front, and that she needed to take the picture to a check out where I would pay. She never said one word all the way to the front and when we arrived, she dropped the picture off, put me in a long line, and walked right past me, looking the other way never saying thank you for your business, and most definitely never smiled. It is very apparent They do not appreciate your business and I will go elsewhere in the future. read more

I came to this Hobby Lobby with my kids and granddaughters today. Well here I sit at the front of the store on one of their benches because I am handicapped and can't stand or walk very long and they don't have any mobility scooters I can ride on to shop. This is seriously inconsiderate of the elderly and the handicapped. We can't shop at Hobby Lobby because they are too cheap to provide a way for us to shop. Most other stores I go to have several of these carts. I know they could afford to buy them. They are just being very ugly, mean and rude and obviously don't care about us nor want our business!!! I'm always able to find many scrap booking essentials marked very low. The fabric department person is a little lax on customer service. I love Hobby Lobby. Just browsing all their merchandise is so relaxing, to me. This location is large with a great selection. I love the seasonal items and home decor. And this is my go-to place for baking supplies. The things I don't enjoy at Hobby Lobby include that the aisles are not labeled (I know they do this to force you to walk ALL AROUND the store), they don't scan anything, but type it all in by hand (very slow), and they play cheesy Christian music. Hobby Lobby is like a candy store for the crafty! I always had it in for this place ever since I was 16 and worked at Micheal's. We had to work our butts off on Sundays since all the crafters would head to our store because of Hobby Lobby's closed on Sundays policy. Now that I have a real job, my grudge has died out a bit and I realized that I have never really been to Hobby Lobby. I've been busy making natural bath products for Christmas gifts and I needed some essential oil so I decided to check out Hobby Lobby. This place is huge! I can't believe how much stuff they have. The scrapbook section goes on for aisles (not that you'll ever find me there). They have a relatively large section for making bath products/soap/candles. Not a ton of stuff but way more than Michael's and their prices are better too. With that weekly 40% off coupon that you can download from their website, it's even more affordable. I was amazed that I found not only essential oils, but fragrance oils (they are weak but at least they are cheap), various kinds of melt and pour soap, beeswax, vitamin E, sea salt, and body safe dyes. I dont often create bad posts about stores however this store takes the CAKE! There is no clear signage to where anything is and on three different occasions associates referred to what i was looking for between two departments i also was unfamiliar with. Leaving me with unclear directions having me roaming around the store. Then after getting exasperated I finally found an associate and asked him to walk me to where the soap making stuff was he then asked another associate (whom I previously asked before) she looks at what i was looking for shrugs and says i dont know. SHE WAS STANDING DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF IT!! Then started laughing and saying in spanish to another coworker how I was irritated because i wasnt being helped. This is completely unacceptable. Then she had no knowledge and could not answer a simple question. Left me there looking at items that I needed help choosing. Okay so this review is for shady practices. I bought two table top glass tree decors that light up. I tested them before purchasing. Come home to take pictures to share with family and notice that the batteries are missing. This Hobby Lobby has wonderful staff and they are usually fully stocked with the best things. If you have never been to a Hobby Lobby before and you consider yourself a creative of any kind, you're in for a special treat! There is more here than any craftor or creator could ever imagine and you'll discover something never every time you visit. If you're a Christmas fan - oh man, this could be you Heaven, you can prepare for Christmas all year long! They have a wild selection in just about any category that they offer and every week, they have certain categories that will be anywhere from 30-75% off! I usually shoot for the 50%. If there is anything you need, just keep an eye out on their weekly deals, because they are bound to go on sale - if you have the time to wait, just wait it out. Worst case scenario, if you only need one item, google "Hobby Lobby coupon" on your phone and you can get 40% off and single regular priced item! I love this place! :) The only thing I'm not super thrilled about that I can imagine might get tough for the staff here is the antiquated register systems. But they still do quite well and you can be in and out of there in reasonable time...my only warning is to stay focused because you might walk out with twenty extra things you didn't originally come for ;) Oh, and they are closed on Sundays. This is a pretty big store and it's in a convenient area. The outside looks a little old and run down but inside it's pretty neat and well stocked. I have two complaints: 1) the cashiers are thee slowest. The lines at the registers are super long, all the time. There were 3 registers open with really long lines, but there were 3 employees and a manager standing around at the entrance, just talking. This irritated me. 2) I was going to purchase 2 little pinwheels that were 99 cents. There wasn't a price tag on either of them so when I finally got to the register the cashier asked me the price & I told her. She then proceeded to page someone on the floor to ask for a price. We had to wait a while for them to call back as she was scanning my other items. When she was done scanning my items, I told her just to forget the pinwheels. I didn't want to wait any longer for someone to confirm the price. I wasn't in dire need of them that I wanted to wait. That's ridiculous. So, if they aren't going to believe the customer on prices of items, then they should put a price tag on every SINGLE item and not make the customers wait EVEN LONGER for a price check. I will not be returning here, instead I'll make the extra 10 minute drive to the next location in hopes of having a better experience. read more

I love the prices (40% off coupons, 50% off sales) and the huge selections of ribbons, flowers, fabric, etc etc etc. The only downside IMO is their checkout system. It's still a little old fashioned (they have to type in the price and figure out the 40 or 50% off price themselves) so lines tend to be a little long. Went to pick up some art supplies today to find 3 registers open with at least 10 people waiting in each line and a "manager" standing up front doing nothing. I asked her why she doesn't get on a register to help and she replied "I'm not allowed to" and was very rude and gave me a dirty look. Not management material if you ask me or anyone else standing in those lines watching her stare at the ceiling. This is an every time occurrence! How about staffing accordingly for a busy Saturday? Whomever is making the decisions about scheduling needs to be trained or replaced. I'm only giving 1 star because I found what I needed in the store. 0 stars for shopping experience and rude manager. Perfect example of why retail stores will close down because customers will shop online instead of standing in lines and dealing with incompetence. read more

I love to shop at this location. I was a loyal Garden Ridge (now At Home) customer till the store changed it's MO, then I discovered Hobby Lobby. Which is great because they have way more Christmas stuff and their sales began in August. They also carry a large selection of Homecoming supplies, which I love. Just don't expect the staff to be too helpful. They're hard to find when you need them and if you find them, they seemed bothered to help or aren't much help at all. I too hate the politics surrounding this corporation and wish they'd treat their employees better. Maybe then they'd be happy to do their jobs. read more

I came in with my daughter and as we were checking out (Erin M.), was our cashier, we asked her to price 3 different towel hangers for us so we could choose which one we wanted. after doing so we chose 2 of them, my daughter noticed she put one in the bag and the other 2 she placed in a basket. We leave and after about a hour we get home and go threw our bags and notice we are missing one of the racks. So I call the store and speak with Angela who informs me she was someone in customer service and I informed her we were charged for the rack but we didn't have it. She questioned me about it all and Erin informed her that she did not charge me and that she had placed both racks back to be put back on the shelf. So Angela said she would get with the manger and review the footage and see what happen. So the next day she calls me while at work and leaves me a voice mail saying she watched the footage and it shows that Erin placed the racks in the return bin and that the register showed I was not charged! So i returned her call and we had words because at this point your calling me a liar and then she says well bring everything back and let me check! I tell her no problem even though I'm at work and live 15 min away,on my lunch break I will go home and then come. So I did just that and when i get there the guy tells me she just went to lunch. So that annoyed me seeing that I told you I would be there at 1:15 and got there at 1:10! So i inform him of what happen and he calls the store manager and tells him yes she was charged and no she doesn't have it! Then the store manger says tell her to go get the one she had. I then informed the guy that I was pissed and wanted a full refund for the things I bought and I would go to the Hobby Lobby in league city. I'm very disturbed by Hobby Lobby's lawsuit attempting to deny women access to some forms of birth control. I'm not shopping at Hobby Lobby until they drop this lawsuit, and I hope no one else will either. You'd think Hobby Lobby would support their female (and male because they benefit from birth control too!) employees considering that the majority of people who shop there are women! I guess it would be okay if you don't allow coverage of Viagra as well. What kind of birth control a woman uses is definitely not her employer's business. No more Hobby Lobby for me! read more
