The campground is all wooded with many campsites, not all, along the river. Plenty of big trees to hang hammocks, clothing lines, and tarps for rain. We had a reservation along the river, but decided to move away from the river for much more space for our group. Christine and Nick couldn't have been more accommodating with us changing sites. They even brought us a 2nd picnic table. Having wood dropped off was helpful too. We would definitely return to this campground! read more

The facilities at the campground are dirty and rundown. If you stay in the primitive campground, the the only place to go to the bathroom or some pretty unpleasant porta John's. It could be a much more enjoyable experience if they had some better bathrooms and showers. And if you're interested in going to Hocking Hills State Park it's about 25 minutes away. There's much better options. Sing the permit of campground is a beautiful area with lots of potential. read more

It is about 6 min away from highway but there is woods and a wooded hill that blocks the sounds. I stay on riverside and certain parts does get muddy if camp after a rain. Thats camping and you adjust to the weather. I like the fact in 6 min you can get to a gas station that has everything you need if you forgot something. Or go down the highway to shops flea market or walmart or hiking trails. It is in the perfect location. The people there are very nice and inviting. It is beautiful and peacefull. read more

Beautiful campground with a beach. However it's located about 45 seconds off the highway so you can listen to the lovely sounds of passing cars and semi's all night long! read more
