We stayed in Skylark for a long weekend. It was warm and cosy and had everything necessary to make our stay very comfortable. The homemade biscuits and bread were delicious as were the locally sourced dairy products. It was so peaceful and quiet with glorious views across the rolling countryside right outside the cabin door. The hosts were brilliant, discreet yet on hand and really helpful if needed. The eco credentials are impressive with locally sourced products, (butter, milk, soap) and power provided by solar and wind turbine. What more can one ask for, it felt like having a big hug away from the rat race for the weekend. We will definitely return. read more

History
Established in 2006.
We are farmers and started offering self-catering holiday accommodation to support the farm business and provide an additional income. The farm is situated on the southern edge of the Peak District and is fairly rocky so are unable to grow crops but rear beef cattle and sheep. You can watch the farm animals grazing in the fields as you relax on the decking. We are passionate about sharing our special place with guests and have won numerous awards for our sustainable ethos and accessible accommodation.
Meet the Business Owner: David and Felicity B.
David has lived at the family farm at Hoe Grange all his life. We are so lucky to live and work in the beautiful Peak District National Park, but we're not just park keepers - the landscape looks the way it does because it is a farmed landscape. David says "Keeping it a working farm is in my blood, it's important to us to manage the farm ecologically to sustain native species and habitats to improve biodiversity, and it provides a real education for our visitors to experience." Our guests love learning about modern farming and meeting the farmyard animals.
