I usually do all my own work on my vehicles when I can. I needed my radiator flushed and refilled in my Ram truck and don' have the tools to do that properly. I called a reputable radiator shop and asked them who I should go to for that service. They recommended Hoesly Automotive. I called them and they quoted me a reasonable price and made an appointment for two days later. I took the truck in at the appointed time and they offered me a ride home. A REAL bonus with the price of Uber or Lyft these days. They got the work done on time. They did a complete inspection of my vehicle and made a few recommendations but they did NOT push those at all. I have been to a lot of service businesses in my time and this was truly a GREAT experience. They will definitely get my business again and my recommendation to everyone I know. Awesome service. The diagnostic is overpriced. I don't need a full run down of my vehicle, I just needed to know why the check engine light was on. Then they wanted to charge an unreasonable amount for the work I needed done. I might be a woman but I understand when I'm being charged too much for the product. $300 a piece ignition coils no thanks and charging $2300 to replace them and spark plugs which should take no more than an hour is insanity. Let alone they broke one of my ignition coils that wasn't broken before and I know for a fact it wasn't broken before. read more

In early January 2023, Hoesly serviced my truck and forgot to replace the oil. My engine completely blew the next day. They denied all responsibility. I had two independent mechanics inspect and verify that Hoesly had screwed me. Now I'm in the hole $30,000. Hoesly are snakes. They say they "warranty" their repairs. But that warranty means nothing if they can just lie. That warranty means nothing. Go anywhere else. Heck, walk if you can. For the past 2 years I've been using these guys as my go to mechanic. Each time, my car was fixed n back on the road in 1 day. They do a diagnostic first to assess the issue, let u know what needs to b addressed, n fix the issue. What I like about these guys is that u can choose what priority needs to b done first n they won't insist fixing anything else unless u say so.I gotta say its a little spendy but I've done comparisons with other mechanic shops, n have found even when some others have come in a little less, they're all close in price so if u want ur car fixed right, n not have to wait a few days to get ur car back, I recommend these guys. Hoesly automotive is THE place in town. Honest people, doing honest work. I had a couple of issues with my vehicle that they fixed and they retuned my computer so the auto locks work again! They were so kind, i was given a complimentary ride home and they offered to come get me too! Tyson was my main go to person, thank you for being so kind! The diagnostic profile is also really cool. I had the most bizarre interaction with this company. I called to inquire about what it would be like to get a sensor replaced on my Dodge ram. I was met with stonewalling and posturing over the phone. Danny was the man who I spoke to and would basically provide me zero information or confidence in his ability to hear me listen or understand what I thought the problem was, essentially Danny wanted to hold my car hostage and then later on begin to tell me how much it was gonna cost to get my car back. Danny did not like entertaining the idea of me getting the service I was asking for. All other shops I called in the area did not do this and we're completely cooperative. I've never use the shop, but I've also never been greeted with the weirdest feeling after leaving a conversation with a mechanic. We waited until they opened up. They were able to see the truck right away. They ran diagnostics. Turns out, we got bad gas at a 76 on the way up. They fixed us right up and we got to continue our trip with peace of mind. The lady at the front desk, which I terribly regret forgetting her name, was a delight. We were very stressed coming into the shop. She communicated well and gave us check-ups through the day. She gave us recommendations to food and drink spots. Her customer service exceeded expectations. She has such a big heart and it shows in her work. We are so appreciative to this Auto shop. I was told that the brake inspection fee would be deducted from my bill if Hoesly did the brake work. However, I could not have the repairs done that day. When I went to pick up the car, I was told that the fee would not be deducted because the work was not being done the same day. The price for the brake work at Hoesly's was twice the estimate I received from the dealership. read more

Hoesly installed a gas tank in our F-250 incorrectly and you cannot fill the tank at a gas station due to the angle. Also neglected to turn the speedometer on even though it was requested 3 times. They also botched repairing a radiator leak in my mothers car which almost destroyed it. read more

Great staff and technicians at this shop... we were down for the races at PIR, and staying in Vancouver when we developed a knock in our right drivers side wheel ...after leaving the PIR on Sunday came by early Monday morning ... I used to take my vehicles to them for repair I thought they were honest I believe they used to be... the office staff is always friendly...but ever since they started doing the jiffy lube car inspections sheets it's started to feel like they're trying to upsell their services... long story short, I dropped my 4 runner off to get the brakes redone they charged me for the brake inspection anyway... said I needed new calipers rotors and brake pads and they would clean and adjust the back for $3,500!!?? I said wtf just the front is what I want done they said that would be $2800 I called les Schwab who quoted worse case scenario $590. So yes I decided to go with Les schwab who was over 4x less beware and always call to get a second quote before you let them work on your vehicle read more

The check engine light is on in my car again. Nothing is wrong with Chevy, he's just an old man that gets a little moody when it gets humid out. Can't fault him for that right? But it's still one of those things y'know... like am I going to be driving down I-5 and all of a sudden ASPLODE!!!! ? I hope not. Thankfully though I'm only a few blocks away from Hoesly, a great repair shop in town. They can take care of little things like resetting the internal computers, routine tune-ups, refilling pesky stuff like the blinker fluid, and any other care and repair your car might need. They're super quick, clean, and careful about their work. Prices are reasonable, everything is explained well and work is confirmed before they begin. They're an honest to goodness repair shop. Pros: The owner drove me to work in downtown Portland, and was a friendly person. The staff was also friendly, and in no way condescending. The work was done same day, and the repair seems fine. Cons: They did not tell me in advance how much the diagnostic would cost. I also asked for a price on fixing my air conditioning, which they did, but they did not inform me that this too would incur a diagnostic fee. I'm not against paying diagnostic fees, however, it is good customer service to tell your customer how much a service costs, or if there is a cost at all. The work I authorized was a fan module replacement and an oil change. The cost for that was $143 for the part (available for $60-$80 online), and $60 in labor to install it. Fan Replacement Parts & Labor: $203 Oil Change + Oil + Filter: $75 Hazardous Materials: $9 "Shop Supplies": $23 Coupon: -$25 "Discount" -$29 Original Diagnostic: $98 A/C Diagnostic: $90 Taxes: $37 Total Bill: $481 I believe the discount was to bring the total oil change price down, though that was not explained. Brought my car to this shop because I wanted to support a local businesses. My car had an issue of being dead in the morning . They inspected and said that it was my battery. I was a little suspicious since I bought the battery a year ago and they assured it was the battery. The next day my car was dead again. Called them and wanted them to fix the situation. They told me it would be over a week to get my car looked at. I had no choice since my car was dead. They eventually found out that there was a draw from the A/C relay and was not the battery. Wasn't real happy with not getting it diagnosed the first time. Took my car to get the oil changed today at a different shop and they said that I had no air filter in my car. Hoesly's did an initial inspection on the first time I brought the car in and told me to replace the air filter. Well obviously they never put it back in and I drove for over a mont with out one in. Total carelessness from this place. I will never recommend this business or take my cars there again!!! read more
